  1. He's doing it because he knows I'm free. If you saw the stream last night you can see he knows better when I started getting acclimated to moving around and Dead angling.

  7. Saturday's stream went much better than last time. It was hype seeing KoF, and you guys were pretty funny that day. I just feel bad for poor Dacidbro. I don't know why you guys hate on him. However, you guys taught me lots. I feel like I can more efficiently manage my resources.
  8. After watching it on Stickbug's Next Level's stream, I am motivated to buy it again because the game is just so pretty that it can't be ignored. It looks tight, it still looks like KoF...everyone just wants a dream match, though.
  9. You guys streaming today? I really would have loved to come and tested my Baiken and Jam (maybe get some education), but alas NYC trip so expensive. Also doing school stuff.
  10. I love participating in this show, but it's on so late I just have to prioritize. I'm behind now and it makes me sadface.
  11. I hope someone else I know buys this game so I can play it.
  12. Don't get me wrong - I like the game a lot. The drives really exaggerate differences. Dust attacks are usually very similar. That's what I'm talking about. The game really needs the BlazBlue and Third Strike treatment. Expand and expose people to the characters in the story (get people attached), and make an online playable version of the game on a few platforms. Nothing less will save it from being the old but good game it is. I have a WiP list of local players and their mains. Platinum is the most popular. Most people that know OF BlazBlue like Bang. Thankfully, I don't play Rachel or Platinum, so I'm often showing off Litchi and Bang to new players. I also try to show how complex Carl is and how neat Tsubaki can be. (I teach people to block using 5B, I know, I'm a bastard.) If you *show* people that the game is good and bring people in in a supportive manner, they will play. I know you guys hate newbs, but seriously - you need em. You need 'em bad.
  13. Yeah ya beta deskjockies, I can hear your mom upstairs asking you if you want homemade apple pie. BTW Tell her she was really fun last night.
  14. This game is a good competitive game. A lot of people write the game off, and that's what all the talk boils down to. People are writing it off and they shouldn't, and it's their problem, not the game's. This game has different priorities than its chief inspiration, and from Capcom games. This game is about options. You're rewarded on hit by reducing your opponents options and expanding yours. This game is about positioning and spacing. Being in neutral makes you predictable and leaves your opponent with more options at the benefit of temporary safety. Whiners Whine that the game doesn't reward offense. My response is Noel, as well as that they should be ashamed of themselves for wanting games to be like Noel. Whiners whine that Guilty Gear is better. The sad fact is that Guilty Gear is slowly becoming a game too difficult to learn properly, too hard to play locally and online, and not interesting enough to keep playing char to char compared to BlazBlue. BlazBlue's characters are just so different, appealing, and complete. Guilty Gear is old. Unless it gets the Third Strike treatment, it's just not worth getting into or jumping into the community for. I've taken notice than people will bash BlazBlue, praise Guilty Gear, but wont Get At Me in either game b/c they are scared of being beaten. The truth is - the fighting game players will usually play what is newest and appealing, no matter how much it costs or how short-changed they get with BS like no spectator mode in 2011., or how completely, utterly WHACK the game may be.

  16. Can't believe I didn't say anything about this since I use it all the frigging time. I think: The reach series is really good if you know how to use it and have the matchup experience to know when you can or can't do it. ReachA after j.D is very unsafe. I think they thought you were going to dash in but did it anyway.. When you don't, you end up reaching into a DP, lose to your own "startup" as they hit you, or an air-to-air, which really can hurt. Otherwise, Reach does a few things for you - -Repositions you out of corner or back into neutral -Repositions your stick - offering a neutral hit and making and sometimes making them forget about the stick. (bad idea for them) -Gets you on the stick - this is obvious with reachA, but the implications of reachA are ippatsuA/B/C, which means damage and combos. I know. I've blown your mind. - What I want to work on personally is using reach more safely and using reachC. ReachC confuses the hell out of opponents and you have a few options when using it. I find reachB->2C[e] hits often, but I don't think it's very safe - they are usually on approach as you toss the stick, and I wonder if you can 3C instead?
  17. Sol or Ky for sure.
  18. I've been taking the 5D->D advice against my local Carl and that 1-9 matchup is back to 5-5 where it started back in September. It works very well against Carls who want to be aggressive and love that j.C, sometimes you don't have to think about when you hit the second D, but placing staff and throwing around like a madwoman really irritates carl and sets you up for midscreen combos, although be careful in the air on approach, carl isn't completely defenseless. Anyways, Thanks Dustloop and stream monsters! I am back in the game vs Carl, now.
  19. Looking really good so far - I'd only ask that you work on the formatting more by introducing more whitespace, bolding and underlining for sections and each move. Make it look really pro. PS: My Jam is getting better. I'm gonna try practicing the things you mentioned. :D
  20. Can anyone link me the Guilty Gear matches - specifically the one where May beat the snot out of Potemkin?
  21. Official Bang is Back Thread? DacidBro: You wouldn't have had to lose to Tokido if you just went to NCI instead, at least no one paid to see the stream be screwed up. :P :P :P Also BlazBlue.
  22. This game just got budgeted out. There's no spectator mode. I mean, come on, how am I supposed to hype this game by streaming it, or participate in a community for this game without hauling my ass over to an arcade for more than the price of the game itself each day? They need a spectator mode. Get one.
  23. Back again - Carl has definitely overtaken me at this point. I really need a way to shut down the jumpins and low-hits from hitting me without getting pressured so much. I wish I could show vids, but I don't have any. It's really frustrating because I'm winning less and less. I am SALTY.
