I'm just happy I can use Mugen to do an unburstable 5.4k on my friends when they're being dumb ┐('~`;)┌ .
-
Or they could just use a low against Hakumen and completely shut down that option.

Yeah, I kinda feel like the whole "learning from a loss" thing only applies when the Hakumen actually knows what he's doing >__> .

Today's batch of videos brings up a question, "Should I bother posting videos of so-so to bad Hakumen play?" The videos today all depict players who drop basic combos and, in my opinion at least, don't have that good of a feel for the character yet. Therefore is it still worth it to put these videos up? 12/24/11 BBCS:EX Roppou Chariot Ranbat Part 4 of 5 (1/2) [shinigami] Hakumen vs Ragna (worth watching for J.2c clashing with 6a I suppose) 1/13/12 BBCS:EX Central Hachiouji PSR Limit 600 Part 2 of 3 (1/2) [manmosu] Hakumen vs Taokaka 1/13/12 BBCS:EX Central Hachiouji PSR Limit 600 Part 2 of 3 (2/2) [manmosu] Hakumen vs Taokaka 1/13/12 BBCS:EX Central Hachiouji PSR Limit 600 Part 3 of 3 [manmosu] Hakumen vs Taokaka

Will this be something like a Hakumen version of Xie's Beginner Mode? I'd like to help, but I have no HD equipment.

Just a note Blade, in the first post, Takosu is listed twice, once before Tenchi and once after. Also Melon Pan needs a new line before the first match.
-
Thanks for that. Note to Blade, that change affects two other videos, namely ones with sacchiyomu should be kicchomu. My bad.
-
Will do. I shall edit the post with the names. Edit: Post updated as best as I could (=__=) .

[CSE] Hakumen Q & A: New players check here first
IndigoNovember replied to Spark's topic in Archive
I thought it was 1000 now? But yeah, this is going to be some scary stuff to throw out on Instant Block >=3 . -
Ok, so there's actually only 1 person left who still plays AE. He won't remember any meeting times/is too lazy, so he'll just be going through me. So yeah, if you want to play Scott(the last remaining SF player, apparently all of his friends who played it went to Mahvel) sometime, just PM me and I'll go tell him and we'll see if he can make the time.
-
Every now and then there's a video game night at Crown College (I'm in this college) and the most played game is by far MvC3. That's not saying that the players are good though >__> . I also hear a few people talking about Mortal Kombat here and there as well, but I haven't actually seen anybody play it. On a side note I know Fayk lives in SC and plays one of the older Street Fighter games, maybe III? You should PM him.
-
Good to know it was something as simple as that. My knowledge of moon runes isn't nearly good enough to decipher the notes in the video.
-
I'm more of a Blazblue and aspiring Melty Blood player, but I do know of 2 people who play SFIV: AE. We're all UCSC students though, so you'll probably have to meet up on campus. I believe there are some people over at Porter college who also hold SFIV tournaments every now and then, but I can't say for sure since I don't go there much. Anyways, I'll get in touch with the 2 who I know play AE and see if they've got time for some matches. Either that or I'll see if it's alright to send you their cell phone numbers.
-
Thanks for the explanation, clears up some stuff. That's what's gone over in this video right? So you can chain the two together? That's hilarious and cool.

[CSE] Hakumen Q & A: New players check here first

Ack, forgot to mention that I was wondering about the differences between J.b -> J.a and J.a -> J.b midcombo. Nevertheless thanks for the input kotokot. -
[CSE] Hakumen Q & A: New players check here first

I've seen both J.a -> J.b and J.b -> J.a in CSEX. I suppose the difference is that J.b -> J.a still works when the opponent is so far beneath you that J.a -> J.b would whiff, aka J.b's hitbox is bigger than J.a's when considering the vertical aspect of it. Other than that, I know no real reason why we have both. Does anybody have any information at the moment? -
I don't know why you'd recommend IE, but the any of the others should be fine. I use Firefox but that's only because I have a ton of add-ons installed. If you feel you don't need those, you can easily stick with Chrome and save a lot more memory. Can't say much about any other web browser though, only used those two. (EXCERPT [from H.H.'s stream]) 1/5/12 BBCS:EX [gacktstar] Hakumen vs [Kuresu] Tsubaki (EXCERPT [from H.H.'s stream]) 1/5/12 BBCS:EX [H.H.] Mu, [gacktstar] Hakumen vs [Kuresu] Tsubaki 1/2 [gacktstar] Hakumen vs [Kuresu] Tsubaki also at 6:39 (EXCERPT [from H.H.'s stream]) 1/5/12 BBCS:EX [H.H.] Mu, [gacktstar] Hakumen vs [Kuresu] Tsubaki 2/2 [gacktstar] Hakumen vs [Kuresu] Tsubaki If you have any leftover votes, I'd beg you to vote for H.H. since he's not only a good Mu player but the only Mu player that can possibly get into the GODSGARDEN tournament. But this is the Hakumen board so I can't really do that ( ´Д`) .

[CSE] Hakumen Q & A: New players check here first

You can use that as an alternative to the knees trick to get a better general idea of the timing. But yes, you should just practice more until you can get the timing without much trouble. I'd tell you to go through both this thread and the General Discussion thread, but since you don't have the time... You should be able to go in without regards to magatama, Hakumen's options are indeed limited without any Magatama but they are not nonexistent. As for general approach, you have plenty of options: Hop, Air Dash, Super Jump, Kishuu, Gurren, etc. Just try them out and see which ones you feel most comfortable with using. They all have their utility so none are not worth using. -
Double post for alerting others of new videos. Not sure how many people care, but I managed to pick up Gundam EXTREME VS during my trip to Taiwan. So if anybody wants to play that and is in Santa Cruz, send me a pm. I only bought the Blue Destiny DLC and have no plans on buying any other currently announced DLC mobile suits. This might change as they announce more, at least I hope we get more >__> .
