  1. I'm pretty sure you can tack on a SJ.B before the first SJ.2A for a bit more damage / spacing correction. Edit: If you add on the SJ.B you won't be able to do the 6A at the end before the 5C > 3C. SJ.B version does [6260/2.4] , 6A version does [6262/2.6] . As for the SJ.B > J.2A > J.2C > 6A > 5C > 2C combos, last time I tried them, they did less damage and returned less meter than the old corner combo with a J.B tacked on in front and a 6A tacked on in back. See this post. Do note that this combo only works if you have a really good starter like 5C . I wasn't able to get it to work with much else besides 5C, Renka, and Gurren.
  2. If it's the one I'm thinking of, it showed 3 options: (1) Throw > Gurren > Hop 5A > 5B > J.B > J.2A > AD J.2A > J.C [2506/] (1) Throw > Gurren > Hop 2A > 5A > J.B > J.2A > AD J.2A > J.C [2421/] (1) Throw > Gurren > Hop 2B > 5A > J.B > J.2A > AD J.2A > J.C [2461/] of which only the second one was universal. Yeah, gotta get around to checking that out too...
  3. Hmm, you're talking about these threads right? I'll take a look.
  4. 5B might work, but I can't get the link to work for me ( I have bad execution though, so who knows ┐('~`;)┌ ). The main problem is that Noel ends up so low after the hop. On a side note though, the 2A > 5A version works on everyone, it's just tighter. I actually haven't had too much problem with people having odd hitboxes besides this instance. Mainly it's just changing timings I've found. I will point it out whenever I find stuff though.
  5. The normal throw combo does not work on Noel since the 5A whiffs. This is the best you can do on Noel: (1) Throw > Gurren > Hop 2A > 5A > J.B > J.2A > AD J.2A > J.C [2421/1.3] . The back throw combo also needs to be modified for Noel and Rachel, namely that you need to delay the Gurren slightly. Doing so also makes it harder to get the 2C in, so you might want to switch it to a 5B or 5A .
  6. Good stuff guys, I'll go add the combos to the combo section of the wiki as well. Currently still sifting through my own combos @_@ .
  7. Anybody know if the Blue Revolution footage will be released in some manner? The livestream wasn't a complete recording of every match (they mainly showed one cabinet and then switched to another one when the matches were finished on that cabinet) and the free viewing ended before Top 8, so I only saw up to that point. In the free livestream there was A92, Kikyu, Firumu (film), Blacky, and Takosu.
  8. Phew, finally done with finals and my game (got voted 1 of 3 best games of our class by the heads of our game design department), time to get back to updating the combos in the wiki. What did I miss in my 2 - 3 week break?
  9. If you are talking about his IAD J.2C crossup then there's some silliness to be had. First of all, you can block it low. Therefore you can use 2D on it. ... (ノ `Д´)ノ ~┻━┻ WHAT IS THIS! Getting back to your question, I'm pretty sure you'd have to wait and 6D towards the direction that is behind you because 6D does not have very many active catch frames, so you'd probably just get counter hit if you did it forwards. Same applies to 2D. If you feel like you can react in time to do 6D forwards when Carl is IADing above you, you can probably just throw out 5D and have that catch. It worked in the testing that I tried, though who knows if I was doing the crossup IAD J.2C right ( ´_ゝ`) . If you were talking about something else, sorry, that is the extent of my Carl knowledge.
  10. I think you can only do corner loop if you don't do a lot of stuff before the J.B > J.A or J.A > J.B . Note how in the first combo, you do 2C > J.B > J.2A before the J.B > J.A whereas in the second combo all you do is Gurren.
  11. This might be the new BNB: (1) CH 3C > 2B > Gurren > HOP 2C > J.B > J.2A > AD J.A > J.B > 2C > SJ.2A > AD J.2A > J.C [3217/2.1] You might need to delay the 2C a bit. Works on all characters. I'd like some help for testing out the J.B > J.A version. Probably doesn't allow for any follow up in the corner Actually kinda surprised nobody thought it up yet =__= .
  12. Many thanks for the followup and advice, dioxideUniversa. I didn't notice the differences between heights. I also totally forgot about the 669 jump @__@ .
  13. The reward isn't so much the damage but the extra corner carry. I will agree that holding off on doing those until you've mastered all the intricacies is a good idea though. ------------------ Thanks for the help guys. So I'm getting J.A > J.B > 2C down now, but I'm still having trouble with J.B > J.A > 2C. Namely, the opponent is teching in-between J.A and 2C. Any tips on how long to delay the J.A? If I try to delay the J.A any longer than I currently am, I just end up landing... Do I have to delay something else longer in order to get it to work?
  14. So I'm having quite a bit of trouble with the whole J.B -> J.A -> 2C and J.A -> J.B -> 2C links mid combo, any chance I could get somebody to test if this combo works on everyone? General advice on how to do either link would be appreciated too. I'm obviously not delaying something enough since I can't do the combos, I just don't know what to delay @__@ . (1) Back Throw > Gurren > IAD J.B > J.A > 2C > J.2A > AD J.2A > J.C [2617/1.4] -------------- Also saw this combo the other day, anybody care to give it a try? I think it used J.B > J.A, though I don't remeber... (1) CH 3C > 2B > Gurren > J.B > J.2A > AD J.B > J.A > 2C > J.2A > AD J.2A > J.C [2953/1.9] I think the trick is to do the first J.B at the apex of the jump.

  16. This is just me, but it kinda felt like Spark was someone who can run the player matchup really well, whereas WallJumpMan can run the character matchup really well. If Spark got enough experience against a person he could easily win, whereas WallJumpMan didn't necessarily need to rely on that to win. These are just my thoughts though. Good job to WallJumpMan for doing well at the qualifiers. Best of luck in Japan. Hope your pictures with maids at a maid cafe turn out well (^∇^) . As for the combos, they'll be slowly added since it is currently getting near the end of the quarter at university for me and so I have to go work full throttle on my quarter long project, a game made in XNA. Just giving people a heads up as to why my progress is a bit slow. After that though, I'll have plenty of time to add stuff.
  17. Will do, though on my end it'll only be combos. I'd like someone who has more experience to take the role of general strategy and such. shtkn, are you looking for anything else besides those two sections?
  18. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TnOol6dKY5c&feature=g-all-u&context=G2670f8cFAAAAAAAADAA You forgot this one. That should be all of them though. ----- So I did some testing of the new combo that Blacky did. Here's how it compares to other variations of our corner combo that I know of. All combos were done with Level 2 charge of 6c: Corner Loop: [starter] -> 2c -> SJ.2a -> J.2c -> 2c -> SJ.2a -> DELAY J.2a -> AD J.2a -> J.5c -> 5c -> 3c -Omit 3c for oki -One repetition of Corner Loop is "2c -> SJ.2a -> J.2c" -More than one repetition can be written as "Corner Loop (2)", for example -Any time a combo uses more than one rep or proration does not permit it, omit "DELAY J.2a" -Each J.2c should be delayed to ensure the rest of the combo works. -In the odd cases where you think your J.2c in a Corner Loop (1 or 2) will not combo, you should use this combo instead: [starter] -> 2c -> J.2a -> AD J.2a -> J.5c -> SJ.2a -> DELAY J.2a -> AD J.2a -> J.5c -> 5c -> 3c If doing Corner Loop (2), then Starter = Starter + 1 repetition of Corner Loop. Original CSII Corner Combo: (3) 5c -> Renka(1) -> Kishuu -> [6c] -> HOP Corner Loop(2) [6258/2.4] CSII Corner Combo with 6a added before the Corner Loop, Corner Loop also modified to have a SJ.5b before the first J.2a: (3) 5c -> Renka(1) -> Kishuu -> [6c] -> 6a -> Corner Loop(2) [6237/3.0] CSII Corner Combo with 6a -> 5c -> 3c added to the end of the Corner Loop, Corner Loop also modified to have a SJ.5b before the first J.2a (actually does more damage if you don't include the J.5b but you get 0.5 less magatama and the extra damage is tiny): (3) 5c -> Renka(1) -> Kishuu -> [6c] -> Corner Loop(2) [6295/3.0] A modified version of Blacky's combo that substitutes in the Corner Loop halfway in: (3) 5c -> Renka(1) -> Kishuu -> [6c] -> 2c -> SJ.5b -> J.2a -> J.2c -> 2c -> J.2a -> J.2c -> 2c -> SJ.2a -> AD J.2a -> J.5c -> 6a -> 5c -> 3c [6295/2.7] Blacky's Combo (it's actually kinda hard to do due to the hitbox of the 6a (do the J.2c too early and the 6a can't connect because the opponent is too high) as well as the following 5c (do 6a too early and the 5c can't connect because the opponent is too high), it could just be me being bad since I'm not playing on pad anymore ┐('~`;)┌ ): (3) 5c -> Renka(1) -> Kishuu -> [6c] -> 2c -> SJ.5b -> J.2a -> J.2c -> 6a -> 5c -> 2c -> J.5b -> J.2a -> J.2a -> AD J.2a -> J.5c -> 5c -> 3c [6253/2.8] Not Blacky's Combo, but another one from somewhere else (probably recent Hakumen videos), only works with good starters like 5c, Renka, etc: (3) 5c -> Renka(1) -> Kishuu -> [6c] -> 2c -> SJ.5b -> J.2a -> J.2c -> 5c -> 2c -> SJ.5b -> J.2a -> J.2c -> 2c -> SJ.2a -> J.2a -> AD J.2a -> J.5c -> 6a -> 5c -> 3c [6562/3.5] Here's a version of the previous combo that kinda works with more starters, really hard to land actually +__+;; . (3) [starter] -> Renka(1) -> Kishuu -> [6c] -> 2c -> SJ.5b -> J.2a -> J.2c -> 5c -> 2c -> SJ.2a -> J.2c -> 2c -> J.2a -> AD J.2a -> J.5c -> 6a -> 5c -> 3c [low damage-5307 (5b starter) /3] Here's a version of the previous combo that actually works with more starters, not really better than just using the old CSII Corner Loop. (3) [starter] -> Renka(1) -> Kishuu -> [6c] -> 2c -> SJ.5b -> J.2a -> J.2c -> 5c -> 2c -> J.5b -> J.2a -> AD J.2a -> J.5c -> 6a -> 5c -> 3c [4800~ (5b starter) /3] I'm still working with that last combo, doesn't seem to work off of much =__= .

  20. I'm not really sure what they mean by beginner combos, but I'll go throw together something for the wiki and the combo thread. Sources will include combo videos and Dustloop user posts.

  24. Most, if not all are. I think the only block of videos that might be worrying is the one from this post. But even then, there aren't any incompetent players like that one time. The rest should showcase decent Hakumen play. Edit: I actually saw your post after I finished the post below, Blade. Sorry if stuff sounds a bit odd as a result. So Blazblue Revolution Qualifiers are showing up now. There are quite a lot of Hakumens too at this particular qualifier. Most seem to have just picked him up in Extend though... I'll be posting the one(s) (it turned out to just be one ._. ) I think are worth watching. 2/12/12 BBCS:EX G-Stage BB Rev Qualifiers? 25. Regarding the differences between J.a -> J.b and J.b -> J.a, from the combo thread. Also, should we even bother with a combo thread anymore? Should we not just throw all the combos up on the wiki?
