  2. Hmm, very interesting combo. Would not have thought up of that.
  3. D'oh (__ __) *headdesk . Edited. Thanks for the catch.
  4. Hmm, not a bad idea. Example with added notation for testing purposes: (3) [starter] > Renka(1) > Kishuu > [6C] > 2C > SJ.B > J.2A >.. J.2C > 2C > SJ.2A >.. J.2C > 2C > SJ.2A >. AD J.2A >. J.C > 6A > 5C > 3C [3528 - 6295 / 2.7] (3) [starter] > Renka(1) > Kishuu > Hop 2C >. J.B >. J.2A >. AD. J.A > J.B > 2C > SJ.2A > AD J.2A > J.C [2669 - 4444 / 1.5] Hmm, since explanation will have to be in place for those who haven't done the combos yet, I'm not sure of the necessity of adding in where to delay in the combo. Maybe for returning players I guess? Though I don't see why they couldn't just read the notes again. Thoughts anyone? Do note that doing a loop of the corner combo with a Renka(1) > Kishuu combo only works with 5C, Gurren, and Renka. At least those are the only starters that work for me. But yeah, good stuff.
  5. No, I'm pretty sure Kishuu > Enma, without any delay in between the two, beats it out if you do it at the same time that she starts Mami Circular. If you wait any later though, then things start becoming less favorable with mostly trades occurring and eventually, if you start it very late, you get beat out. What about, instead of trying to read what your opponent is going to do, react to Mami Circular with a Zanshin? It sounds like you have the reaction time to start up Kishuu > Enma when Mami Circular comes out, so it shouldn't be that much of a stretch for you to re-train yourself to do 6D or 5D.
  6. Minigrinch is indeed talking about Heart Car or Mami Circular if we go by the offical name. I haven't faced many Platinum's, but besides Blade's very good counter, can't you just block it and punish? Only thing to remember is that Platinum will be in the air for a while during the recovery of Mami Circular. It sounds like you're doing Kishuu Enma too late. How about just walking forward and blocking when you see Mami Circular coming?
  7. I recommend you learn both J.A > J.B and J.B > J.A , since while J.A > J.B is easier to pull off when doing random hit confirms, J.B > J.A is required for some combos to work. Some tips for doing [starter] > Renka(1) > Kishuu > 2C > J.B > J.2A > AD J.B > J.A > 2C > SJ.2A > AD J.2A > J.C: Some tips for doing [starter] > Renka(1) > Kishuu > 2C > J.B > J.2A > AD J.A > J.B > 2C > SJ.2A > AD J.2A > J.C: You should do the same as listed above except: Ideally you want your opponent as low as possible before you do the J.A. Delay your Air Dash until your opponent has fallen for a bit. Depending on your height relative to your opponent's height (you want to be above your opponent), you might even want to delay the J.A. Do J.A > J.B with little to no gap Hope this helps.
  8. Even with the second loop, it does less... (3) 5C > Renka(1) > Gurren > IAD J.B > J.A > 2C > SJ.2A > AD J.2A > J.2C > SJ.2A > J.2A > AD J.2A > J.C > 6A > 5C > 3C [4781 / 2.3] vs (3) 5C > Renka(1) > Kishuu > Hop 2C > J.B > J.2A > AD J.B > J.A > 2C > SJ.2A > J.2A > AD J.2A > J.C > 6A > 5C > 3C [4851 / 2] Edit: Or not... (3) 5C > Renka(1) > Gurren > IAD J.B > J.A > 5C > 2C > SJ.B > J.2A > J.2C > 2C > SJ.2A > AD J.2A > J.C > 6A > 5C > 3C [5164 / 2.3] 2A starter yields [3494] vs (3) 5C > Renka(1) > Kishuu > Hop 2C > J.B > J.2A > AD J.B > J.A > 5C > 2C > J.B > J.2A > J.2A > AD J.2A > J.C > 6A > 5C > 3C [5132 / 2.4] 2A starter yields [3469] Note: these combos may not be optimal depending on starter or in general but they work from midscreen on Ragna. For what it's worth they're decent...
  9. Actually Renka(1) > Kishuu always does more or comparable damage. So you should probably just stick with Renka(1) > Kishuu combos.
  10. Delay the J.2C a lot as well as be really close when you do the initial 5C . I think doing 5B might be easier since it doesn't push your opponent as far away.
  11. Alright, we'll go with Kakyuu then.
  12. Hmm, if we go by romaji, it should be Hikyuu...
  13. First off 火九 = Hikyuu, who plays a lot at a-cho. Hikyuu for all times besides 37:10 which is probably hikage Hikyuu I can't really make out the announcer's words, sorry... I can't make out the kanji, sorry... I can't really make out the announcer's words, sorry...
  14. You should do a SJ.B before the initial J.2A . It helps with spacing. If you're too high up to land and then do 6C, you can do a very low J.B > 6C . You meant level 3, right?
  15. Are we perhaps framing the magatama regained differently? Gurren takes away 1 magatama so you'd have 4 magatama after the Gurren which means you'd gain 2 magatama by the end to end up with 6 magatama. If you were talking about total overall gained, then it would be 1 magatama, but by using that method a lot of stuff would end up being like -1.3 magatama...
  16. The combo xlolxlolx posted is the best we have for 1 magatama midscreen CH 3C . Are you sure the magatama gain is different between 0 to 1 and 1 to 8? It doesn't appear different to me.... Now that I know that combo exists I'll definitely go for it more often. Probably the only real reason to go for the 1 magatama combo is if you are too far away for the 5A to catch after the 2B (max range 3C) .
  17. Is this in reference to the back air throw combo? In that case, unless you do SJ.B > J.2A > AD J.B > J.2A > J.C , you won't really get a damage increase of more than 50. There's also the issue of Hop 2C not working on every character. Looking at you Noel, Mu-12, Lamda-11, Valkenhayn, and anyone else I forgot. Hmm, I haven't noticed much difference between J.B > J.A or J.A > J.B when getting the 5C to connect ┐('~`;)┌ ... Yeah, I can definitely see J.B > J.A not working too well for cases where your opponent ends up really high. It does work by the way for the combo you posted, it's just infinitely easier to do J.A > J.B . Indeed, I believe it should just be up to the player's preference in the end, though I do think being able to do either one would be very beneficial.
  18. Not really, there's no special timing like there is for J.A in J.B > J.A . Instead for J.A > J.B , you just do a delay before the air dash then hit J.A > J.B with no delay in-between the two, then J.B's hitstun will let you land and do 2C. You can do J.A > J.B quite high up when compared to J.B > J.A .
  19. Gotta get that 20 more damage man. /sarcasm In all seriousness though, there are a few combos that only work (as in universally) with J.B > J.A like: (1) Back Throw > Gurren > IAD J.B > J.A > 2C > J.2A > AD J.2A > J.C [2617 / 1.4]
  20. Would Gundam Extreme VS be 1 vs 1 or 2 vs 2? I seem to remember something about Extreme VS not having LAN multiplayer.
  21. Hmm, that shouldn't be the case since in my attempts I've always been right next to the opponent doing a Hop Tsubaki. Probably just my bad execution then. The main problem I was having was just the J.2C > 2C link, anything after that doesn't really matter. Definitely sounds like my bad execution. Thanks for the info guys.
  22. Other things you should do: Wait for your opponent to be completely grounded before you do 2C (this is why some people do a hop after the Kishuu, to better utilize the time when your opponent is falling). Delay not only the initial J.B but also the following J.2A. Air Dash immediately after the J.2A. Delay the J.B after the Air Dash until your opponent is at their lowest before they can tech. Delay the J.A after the J.B until you are just about to land. Ideally you want to land to cancel the recovery of J.A so you can go immediately to 2C or any other following move. Hope this helps.
  23. Just to double check, but was it confirmed that this combo was universal? (3) Tsubaki > IAD J.2C > 2C > SJ.B > J.2A > AD J.B > J.2A > J.C [4177 / 0.9] I seem to remember it was, but I just wanted to be sure since I can't get it to work on a few characters. I don't trust my execution though...
  24. Getting back into the swing of things. There's been too much Persona 4: the Ultimate in Mayonaka Arena lately, so Hakumen videos are a bit scarce.
