  1. Back from Taiwan. Had quite a lot of fun meeting family and family friends as well as seeing what gave Taiwan it's original name of Formosa or "beautiful island". Also picked up Gundam EXTREME VS. Moving on. Here are some recent videos: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kOSRgqhBd38 [osukaru] Hakumen vs Carl and [osukaru] Hakumen vs Litchi @ 5:58 (why you no zanshin your way through all of Koku Shimuso?) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YMZbaOVHphU#t=10m05s [blacky] Hakumen vs Arakune http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ERMOswJjoyg [blacky] Hakumen vs Valkenhayn (mainly just Hakumen losing to Valkenhayn) Good to see some Chin videos, thanks Schneider.
  2. If somebody is air dashing in while attacking, you might be able to get away with it since Kishuu does have head attribute invincibility. That and they're air dashing towards you and you're dashing towards them, so if you time it right you might be able to cross under them. You probably shouldn't try it if they're doing a deep jump in though, I get the feeling it might be less likely to work in that case. Also I'm not sure you'd want to cross under them and then go to 5c. Might be better just to cross under them and go back to neutral, feels safer. Then again if you're on top of your game, you might be able to do some crazy situation reversal.
  3. Your best bet would probably be 6b since you can cancel 6a into 6b and 6b grounds just like 5c. If you use 6b you don't have to recover from the 6a and then start up 5c, both of which take a while, I don't even want to think how long it'd take to do both (=__=;; ) .
  4. Finally got that new Xillia PS3, so pretty. Anyways, PSN ID: Indigo_November (─▽─) no surprises there. (no don't try to make the face, I don't think PSN supports the "▽" character, I wish it did though (*´Д`) ) I'm in Santa Cruz, California by the way. Probably won't be playing much until Extend comes out. And when it does, it'll probably be a tie between that and Melty Blood: Actress Again Current Code, as well as Persona 4: Ultimate in Mayonaka Arena when it comes out. So I'll be on and off. I used to play Mu-12 back in CS, but haven't touched her since then due to intense Hakumen combo training in CSII. I'll probably try picking her up again in Extend. Also learning how to use a Hitbox...
  5. I remembered! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xV3IIDPjUGM#t=06m52s Hakumen [blacky] vs Lamda-11 Edit: I'm out to Taiwan for two weeks, so don't count on any updates from me (>__<) .
  6. There definitely are a lot of new Hakumen's who appeared only because of the high tier change. You can tell it pretty easily when watching them as they play differently from FT and PRFArmy. They tend to be a lot more offensive since they haven't really explored all of his options yet (my guess at least). As for notable new Hakumen's? I've seen a few, but I'd wait a bit longer to see if they really decide to stick with Hakumen before making note of them. I'll throw out aba for now, but you never know (he could even have been playing before and I just missed him ┐('~`;)┌ ). Anyways, FT and PRFArmy are still there. They're not the best, but they're pretty good.
  7. I keep on forgetting this thread exists >__> . The names labeled with (?) are ones which I attempted to make romaji from the video, they were not labeled in the description. The ones left blank are ones that I can't make out due to bad video quality. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0yCO4WZaGIA&feature=BFa&list=UL5CfRzY4NzHA&lf=mfu_in_order [rarikin (?)] Hakumen vs Platinum http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xlvUcqZq0-0&feature=plcp&context=C2c6e7UDOEgsToPDskKnZBqj-QLHJoIFkJ-XQk9M Hakumen [hikyuu] vs Litchi, Platinum, Bang, Noel, and Jin http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W1n1L7OePPc&feature=plcp&context=C23f6eUDOEgsToPDskIm2w6ZWXYwcFCjM5yeQBMU Hakumen [takosu] vs Mu-12 [serizawa] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k-IMt9NjSGw&feature=BFa&list=ULb6RsBqDP54s&lf=mfu_in_order Hakumen [Kicchomu] vs Carl http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mfJJY4GOE_Y&feature=BFa&list=UL6Qe8GKb0msE&lf=mfu_in_order Hakumen [manmosu (?)] vs Noel, Hazama, and Tager http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XpIF9zRGAt0&feature=BFa&list=ULmfJJY4GOE_Y&lf=mfu_in_order Hakumen [Kicchomu] vs Rachel http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=awkuU0d2Tzc&feature=BFa&list=ULXpIF9zRGAt0&lf=mfu_in_order Hakumen [Kicchomu] vs Lamda http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fYVL5vSTkr0&feature=BFa&list=ULjgr_niFlP9Y&lf=mfu_in_order Hakumen [FT] vs Platinum and Carl http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cLNy5kqHa-4&feature=plcp&context=C2b89fUDOEgsToPDskI7iJN1sQnLSUbR4Q-DQHRM Hakumen vs Bang http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V6KTxYVfqcY&feature=plcp&context=C2d7f2UDOEgsToPDskKlcl6Pzousx-Quqfcf686p Hakumen vs Bang http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GepCB-n2s3g&feature=plcp&context=C2c05cUDOEgsToPDskIGS57TeGGfot_lnXViv3u_ Hakumen [FT] vs Tsubaki and Litchi http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ptk7n7XouuA&feature=plcp&context=C2c869UDOEgsToPDskIJ5dRu_HiKcPgj_pjEeC2H Hakumen [FT] vs Hakumen and Lamda http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tep3t9cDJVc&feature=plcp&context=C25f67UDOEgsToPDskLoAES_57NYhPCSPnskmts2 Hakumen [FT] vs Tsubaki http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nvl0HwsufsI&feature=plcp&context=C217f7UDOEgsToPDskIf2hgq0pK6opRRpt4qPs1g Hakumen [RI-IN] vs Hazama http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jn2SxWGzUPQ&feature=plcp&context=C298c7UDOEgsToPDskKBRknlwy834cVIkA3mHnbL Hakumen [RI-IN] vs Mu http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pf0tBt8FRow&feature=plcp&context=C24afcUDOEgsToPDskJGptKpjeE27LT2LTo91tXx Hakumen [gozaru] vs Taokaka http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3TRsO_gwfSY&feature=plcp&context=C21cf0UDOEgsToPDskKiujeh7lJAcygidG-0mtBA Hakumen [aba] vs Litchi and Valkenhayn http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5EpcNTifw0k&feature=plcp&context=C2c804UDOEgsToPDskKC1RWHEXf1-pP3VC19enYY Hakumen [aba] vs Makoto and Hakumen vs Tsubaki http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ChUMUuwa9HI&feature=plcp&context=C24d49UDOEgsToPDskIP6E_j10EbKb9W01LDNoM7 Hakumen [ECO] vs Tager and Lamda http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LAuHUtiMOl8&feature=plcp&context=C2e2eeUDOEgsToPDskIIFRkwyfVmUUz4__76yrwZ Hakumen [aba] vs Platinum http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1f-jTJrXzes&feature=plcp&context=C23433UDOEgsToPDskIWhiZf9CiKs8Y2NuSvt6HH Hakumen [Choko] vs Valkenhayn, Jin, and Carl http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bURNLLHoFRw&feature=plcp&context=C2ccfcUDOEgsToPDskL5Dl5cDndH_hB-iFuFBQgS Hakumen vs Tsubaki and Noel http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WnBmiPMuOJo&feature=plcp&context=C256c0UDOEgsToPDskKluD0QjyU0avJM8Bhi6M7f Hakumen vs Rachel http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gVCLf4TvA1U&feature=plcp&context=C2e3d0UDOEgsToPDskI4zViT_pQ_rtT7KUbYLGsW Hakumen vs Tager http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s2SgBkt2KBw&feature=plcp&context=C25496UDOEgsToPDskL4izUsRlYvJAJGlgwzuvmZ Hakumen vs Noel Edit: Bah, that's enough for now. Most are from pktazn1213's channel, but that's only because most of the videos with FT are there. I'll post more videos when they pop up, if I remember this thread exists.
  8. You can say that again. I was certainly sad when I heard he had dropped in the tier list in CSII because that meant they had taken away some of his options or something, but I stuck with him because he just fit me better than the other characters. I saw my friend switch around a lot due to tier lists. With every revision he was always sad because he had to switch from one character to the other due to all the changes.
  9. I thought he was only A tier in Extend, just like CS. Kinda funny how he keeps on going from low to high and back again.
  10. If you're talking about BlazBlue Revolution, then it'll be Extend. Since the finals happen on 2/25/12 as well as the wording of "Extend Console Version", I'm going to assume the America release will be out by then, so we'll have had some time to practice beforehand.
  11. And then I go back to... wait, Hakumen's my main ( __ __) *headdesk /sarcasm
  12. After watching Spark fight Dsmoove12, it kinda looks like you should spend your time blocking low and reacting to overheads when Noel isn't doing her Chain Revolver. You'll also dodge her command throw this way. But when she is doing her Chain Revolver, you should switch to blocking high and reacting to her low. That way you don't have to deal with 2d crossing up (unless it puts you in a better position) and her overhead 6b is faster than her low 6d. I wonder if 2d still crosses you up if you're crouching in the corner... That would be annoying to deal with.
  13. Dsmoove12 vs Secret Boss (aka Spark) at NorthWest Majors: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6_7lcqPNvQE&feature=feedu
  14. Just saw Dsmoove12's fight against the Secret Boss on the BBVlog. Epic fight Spark. That is all that needs to say, pure Epic.
  15. You'll also have 1 more magatama to work with. But it is nice to know that I can mess around with my opponent, usually, at least once a match ( ゚▽゚)/ .
  16. Wait, I'm pretty sure Kishuu is still head attribute invincible.
  17. You can use the 5c -> 2c link with a Hotaru starter, but it doesn't end up being doing more damage or getting more meter when compared to just Hotaru -> land 6c -> HOP Corner Loop (2) . It's only really used in the situations Moblin specified. Are you sure you're not thinking of Throw -> 2c -> Renka(1) -> Corner Loop (1) ? Where the second hit of Renka whiffs on certain characters and the whole thing whiffs on others. I don't believe you can get the opponent high enough that the second hit of Renka would whiff, unless you did something like 2c...
  18. Have you tried ryokoalways's advice? But yeah, there are no visual indicators of which one is coming until it actually arrives, so you'll just need to read your opponent / make good guesses.
  19. This post and this post should sum up all the changes we know at the moment.
  20. Ha ha ha, same here \(^∀^)メ(^∀^)ノ . Blazblue is my first real fighting game as well, looking to expand to Melty Blood when it comes out on PC though. Here's something that I've noticed, if you don't spam/mindlessly use J.5b you can use it quite a lot when you're jumping. Rising J.5b and staggered falling J.5b (J.5b at peak height that will hit -> delayed/deep J.5b) seem to work quite well. I get the feeling that people are more scared of J.5b than J.2c, when you're just jumping, because it's faster than J.2c . Also, hopping isn't too bad, just don't do too many consecutive hops or else you'll get punished. Probably hopping once every now and then to close the distance is fine, when you're both at neutral that is. A good way to make someone respect your hops is to hop twice, but cancel the second hop into Hotaru. As with all things though, don't do it too often lest you become predictable (PREDICTABO ... m(_ _)m sorry, had to). Kishuu also isn't too bad of a movement option, it's quite fast and dodges some stuff (will dodge more stuff in Extend).
  21. Here's a few ideas, take it with a grain of salt since I haven't played in a while. AD J.2c is really telegraphed, so make sure you don't use it too often else you'll be eating a lot of anti-airs to the face. Try using it at max range when your opponent is doing stuff besides waiting to anti-air you. AD J.5b isn't as telegraphed and is faster, so you'll probably land those more often than AD J.2c. You can also do deep jump-in J.5b. Just jump up and come down and do J.5b right before you land. That way you can see if they try and anti-air you, in which case you barrier block instead of J.5b. From my experience I feel like you shouldn't do too many AD moves since I just end up getting anti-aired a lot, that could just be me though ┐('~`;)┌ .
  22. I actually got 2 copies of the game since Bestbuy decided not to send me my Collector's Edition at first and let me keep the first copy as an apology after they sent my Collector's Edition. Man that was amusing. That's pretty much the best thing to do. Certainly beats the combo that I made up in ease of execution (what really counts in my opinion).
  23. How about until somebody makes a video showcasing the combo, you just back up after you throw? If you do that Platinum doesn't cross you up. You can do oki from there.
  24. Hmm, I seem to remember some players doing a combo where you'd Kishuu after a Renka but the Renka would still wallbounce. I'll go look around some more. Your explanation sounds quite valid though.
  25. Here's what I found: (4) Back Throw -> RC -> Corner Loop (2) [4218/1.0] (4) Back Throw -> RC -> 6c -> Corner Loop (2) [4717/1.5] -In order to get 2 repetitions of the Corner Loop, you'll need to walk forward a little after you do the 6c. (7) Back Throw -> RC -> 5c -> Renka(1) -> Kishuu -> 6c -> Corner Loop (2) [6432/1.7] Hmm, it doesn't seem to be too much better than doing the normal back throw combos unless you're really willing to invest in it. Then again, that's just my opinion. Also I didn't test on everybody and I'm not sure if you can get a level 2 charge 6c in there or not. My execution is pretty bad at the moment, been playing too much Dark Souls (_ _ ) . If you don't like the walk back, you can do this. I originally didn't think of walking back at all. Certainly might have made some things different/easier >__> . Looks like I'll need to change the combo guide too.
