Ok seems like some ppl like the idea. How about everyone who is interested in this idea type down what times you're usually available and your personal day of preference out of Wednesday Friday Saturday and Sunday. ill see if i can orchestrate something up for this online of those days or if its possible to host multiple times maybe 2 times on separate days for more convenience. but still post if your interested and availability along with day(s) you could be open for that was listed. EDIT: Also once we have some ppl down ill send an invite to you online on the days we host the event.

Ok ima just throw this out there because the valk community did this recently and it interested me. how does the idea of noel players come together on some specified days to host a room and discuss/show off/exchange noel tech info and tips online sound? Kinda like a conference call and discuss and help each other out in a room with stuff regarding noel but in a group fashion. all tech ideas can be saved via replay save and can perhaps have a few matches to watch and see how each other handle matches and playstyle etc. Anyone interested? if not oh well i tried _-_

they cant burst after the first MF but the problem is that doing MF into landing Fenrir doesn't work on everyone as it whiffs on certain characters due to hitboxes being short after complete knockdown from MF. its gonna be a character specific thing but nontheless i would love to know how much MF did in the unfinished 5k combo from the patch. if someone seen it and saw the damage number after MF hit then we could possibly estimate its new damage somehow. i would like to imagine it being 2k raw or 1800 atleast.

i dont care as much anymore... _-_ also haters gonna hate regardless so its either win and be hated or lose and still be hated with salt poured into your lap as a consolation prize. Make a choice and be done with the harsh reality of noel players. hate to be blunt about it but fussing about it does nothing and has been proven over the years in the bb community its kinda a set in stone thing.
-
Well thats just the way of life in the bb community. Almost everyone who is not associated with using noel pretty much hates her for various reasons even some that are a bit outlandish. For example they hate her for the following reasons but not limited to: I hate noel because of her D drives her drives are a one button combo i cant punish her drives even on whiff which is some bullshit. who whiffs moves and can get away with it?? really now? she is too easy mode she does too much damage for free she pisses out too much heat (or did in the past) stupid haida loop her combos are boring and she practically stands in place and does a combo for you unlike other characters where you have to move the character yourself long ass litchi like combos into retarded damage over a simple mistake in neutral or in the corner and was punished for doing what you're supposed to do for momentum she too fast...fast normals run etc..(even though this in itself is questionable as hell if you critically think about it compared to other characters) too much invincibility i hate 4D with a passion screw her 2D jumping over my shit (prior to CP) i hate netplay assault through her counter assault (prior to CP) is too good its a free jail break + momentum shift off 50 heat especially in the corner unlike everyone else she goes through my shit like a damn ghost from Casper all noels mash drives they cant block for shit they been dodgin basic fundamentals since day 1 noels are mashy as hell she gets to press all the buttons in the world but when i try to do that i get punished with invincibility into 4 -7k all noels are free her personality is annoying she cries too much i hate her voice i hate her stupid beret hat, take that shit off she dresses like a slut i hate her just because of the mirror match This is basically all the stuff Ive heard over the years since CS1. personally i think ppl established a personal vendetta against noel so hard to the point its a mental law in bb that losing to noel is not an option. Even perhaps more annoying than losing to the high tier characters like valk or tao to them in some cases. they make it seem like noel in general is "suppose" to always lose to everyone regardless of how they put it "supposedly good" the noel player is unless you're popular like SKD and happen to use her in the past. Noels normally don't amount to any respect in the community just because of the the way the character was designed. In the end we only have other noels to commute and talk to so that's who we stay around on here. They know the struggles of our waifu...lol

its a safe jump actually. the j.C > landing j.D cancel into d.6B is the setup. what happens is if the opponent tries to dp the j.C will whiff but 6D comes out to then punish the dp attempt with invincibility. if the opponent blocks instead then j.C will be blocked and then the j.D will be canceled on landing frames and will skip into d.6B for a fast 16 frame overhead as a follow up. that's noels safe jump setup basically. so on paper it will look like this by the eye: j.C > d.6B

i think he misread it as assault through when it was counter assault buff..

Try saying that to the rest of the community and see how they'll agree....if ever.

well to be honest hakumen and kagura (i think) meet those 2 criteria more so than noel. other characters can too but hakumen was initially build to be that way in bb. sure noel can sometimes hit some high damage but she isnt a character who is suppose to be playing patiently if she isnt forced to. she kinda wants to get in fast and kill you before letting the opponent change the pace of the match to their favor its not her forte sort of speak unless she is forced to play that way like against the tao match-up. i dont recall a CP guide for noel on how to play her i guess because everyone believes she is autopilot easy to play.

it be nice to have a college teacher sponser an A student to go to EVO and if he makes top 16 the student will be given a 20,000 dollar grant for college

Ill attempt to explain. 2A does have a better range and frame advantage however it isn't as good in pressure as much as it use to be in EX and in CP now using it in pressure is a bit undesirable as its recovery somewhat gets in the way to capitalize on its use in pressure since now it has a bit of pushback on block making its usual follow up 5A harder to close the gap to punish mashing in a sense of frame trapping the opponent. a simple mistake of execution can easily get you hit out of attempt of something like 5A > 5A > 2A > slight pause into micro dash 5A. this was alot more viable in EX since 2A was +1 and at the same time EX defense pushback wasn't as big as it is in CP where now you can do almost 3 hits in general and your character is almost out of range to have more optimal options for pressure and legit frame traps. Wat use to be safe is now either gonna trade or you may get hit out of it now due to the lack of frame advantage it use to have or it just puts you out of range to reset your pressure with 5A to cover your tracks as a frame trap. 2A has less options than 5A to go into for pressure after its block and somewhat forces you to committing to either a string into mix up, a long string into 2C but puts you out of range to be able to get back in for more pressure, or to make the pressure shorter and end into 2C for +1 and attempt to use either 5A or 2A to reset pressure based on the range you're in from that point but depending on how far you are from the opponent after 2C your 2A will get a trade rather than a clean CH. noels best follow option at the end of pressure strings to reset it is pretty much 5A not 2A since it has the frames to CH the opponent for mashing a button other than a dp. there are certain instances where 2A can be used to reset pressure but its not as good as 5A. some pressure strings still work but others are now iffy and requires you to execute it alot faster to prevent it from trading with your opponent. For example you can try 5A > 2A > 5A. this will work and will CH your opponent given they hit a button between the 2A and the next 5A but say you wanna micro dash the next 5A to keep your range in place instead of putting yourself out of range by standing in the same place doing the 2nd 5A your chances of getting a trade or getting CH out of it are now a bit more prominent in CP than it use to be in EX. now add in something like 5A > 5A > 2A > 5A you're most likely are gonna trade or get mashed out when you try to reset with 5A and 2A is a even more guarantee of this to happen. overall her pressure in CP is not as good as it use to be in EX or other iterations of bb because of the reduced frame advantage and the defensive pushback on block in CP also passively nerfed noels ability to pressure and frame trap ppl effectively as she use to in the past.

That's all you can do to attempt to make it safe as possible. Bloom trigger, Chamber Shot, and Assault Through are all unsafe on Instant block regardless so its basically pick your poison at that point lol. the only safe option is to rapid cancel which ever option you go for otherwise you'll get hit. to clarity dualseekers suggestions muzzle flitter isnt a "safe" option but rather just a mix up option and is the unsafest option. d.5B >d.5C > BT isnt as safe either it can still be punished the same way also if you end with d.5B >BT your opponent can actually punish noel freely with a 12 frame startup move or faster before BT even comes out so i wouldnt recommend it at all honestly. the only reason it may work is because your opponent was trying to barrier guard you the entire time that increased the pushback on block making it unintentionally safer.

the 2C route into 5C does a little more damage than the 5B > 5C route but its not much in most given scenarios. in some cases against certain characters the 2C wont hit twice all the time in some combos outside of a throw combo in the corner. itll only hit one time and will cause you to drop the combo if you're not prepared to cancel it early into 5C before they tech. if youre worried about dropping a combo that involves those choices to follow up then use the 2B option its basically combo drop safe and its universal. 2C just helps with a few extra points of damage roughly under 200 to 300 but its not necessary just preference imo.

yep pretty much

This is actually kinda old. its been in bb since CS2 for noels case. only thing about it sometimes they don't tech when you do the 2a part to cross under and it still blue beats them before they tech which by then they may air tech away from you. back then 2a was jump cancellable so you could do a pseudo tech trap off that on the 2a if it tagged them but in CP its no longer jump cancelable so...yeah..

I agree with Luna on having more options on block after a 5B. For me specifically I personally like to always throw in a micro-dashing 5A in those scenarios that way I have several options afterwards just in case. Sure it may nerf a little damage but I like it because its extra insurance for me. Gotta love dat 5A
-
Well I've been micro dashing since CS1 trying to learn haida loop back then and pressure so its burnt into my execution. Practice is key. I mastered micro dashing in less than 2 to 3 days. But that's not to say that's a standard to hold yourself to. People have different learning curves and for some individuals learning a concept make take longer than others. For example I may be good at doing micro dashing and executions than maybe DemonWindBomb but he may be better at spacing and blocking (its a terrible example imo but you get the idea). The key word here is "practice" everyone has to conform to it at some point in any fighter games. You'll get there man you'll see

I agree with Luna on the concept build of noel regarding CP. I personally felt like EX noel could do virtually everything better than CP noel with the exception of how chamber shot turned every hit confirm or random ones into combos, her new oki and faster drives, and lastly how her drives can go through counter assaults , dps, distortions, etc. But that only became possible in CP ONLY because they nerfed the attributes of attacks in the game in general that normally would otherwise still beat her drives like in the past. Example would be hakumen's 5C which beat both 4D and 2D and 6D. Didn't matter what drive you pulled out. Your ass was grass the second he decided to hit 5C on your wake up all you could do was block or mash out fenrir. So on that note that was an unintentional buff to her drives to have that effect now in CP or at least that's the impression I get. I highly doubt Mori would literally take the time to nerf more than half the casts attack attributes just to justify her drives to be a "better" reversal option on purpose for design reasons.

true. wish it would be like that again. lately I decided to just sit back a bit and let the rest of ppl on here help out and do their thing. I still help but as of late its been online helping others. I like to see other ppl give their input and help on here besides me you and delta. brings a kind of warmth to my pad and heart whenever I pop on bb and when I look on here lol

CSEX -> CP -> CS2 -> CS1 -> CT. EX noel was the most fun to me followed by CP but only for competitive reasons. Damn I miss my old noel from EX those where the days but I have to admit I miss the old dark days of CS1 on the salty grind of facing GOD tier bang and daisharin broken litchi and bogus retarted ragna. the struggle was real then lol

same here but in Georgia. more specifically in Atlanta it gets lonely down here except when final round comes up. _-_

[CP] Noel Vermillion - Combo Thread (Work In Progress)
Litherain-XIII replied to LunaKage's topic in Archive
No problem. -
well to be honest the dash cancel made it extremely easy for noel to hit 3C at max ranges nearly all the time without ever droping them into 3 ~5k in EX. outside of nerfing it for that reason the fact that it helped contribute to the EX haida loop gives an incentive to nerf it to kill the loop off along with the SMP property on all our bullets. otherwise I don't see a realistic reason beyond those 2 ive mentioned
-
actually on the subject of d.2D crossing up there is only 1 situation in which this had occurred in a crouching combo and it resets. Not positive about it being useful outside of RC after its follow up but see for yourself. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gop9ILDhirw&list=UUyV9c57z3v5Ot5d4PklDxeA&feature=player_detailpage#t=677
