well tbh its not a great idea to use drives for block strings because all higher lvl players punish it very quickly with no hesitation really. its a free hit confirm for your opponent technically. Unless your opponent is respecting you too much during this situation then ok maybe. but otherwise try not to use it as such. youre better off using your normal to create safer and better pressure/mix ups and can hitconfirm off those more successfully imo. -

Learning the haida loop is not necessary in EX but as a self proclaim ambassador for the EX haida loop id say its definitely a useful skill to learn as it helps in areas that are a bit grey for noel imo. But tbh, the haida loop looks like its finally dead for real in CP so learning it currently isn't much of a priority so learn under your own leisure I suppose. 5c is pretty ass overall and honestly it was only kinda decent in CS1 when it was a bit faster. if they increased the range on it it wouldn't be as bad. iirc back in CS2 they attempted to make it jump cancelable on block in the loketest phases but decided to take it out at the last minute... -

why not just make his drive called some sword art where he throws his sword like some boomerang or different long ranged attacks like stinger from DMC but for bloodedge. make him have a number count or drive bar ontop his heat bar that's max out to 5. make him have 236D and 214D and 623D inputs to use more powerful versions of those attacks that take up a bar and have a charge function with those inputs holding D which will just take up more drive counts that make it unblockable or different properties based on how long you charge it. idk just throw some shit in there and call it a day. _-_ -

Ok a few things I noticed in the matches is that you have a hard time trying to transition your hit confirms into combos. Gotta practice on learning to turn your hit confirms into combos faster especially when you get a 3C because you keep dropping it. when you get cornered to start blocking you keep hitting drives instead when you should just block for a few seconds. drives cant save you forever especially if your opponent keeps baiting it otherwise you'll keep giving them free hit confirms and you'll lose faster than necessary. throwing out air distortions is ok every once in a while but don't do it too often as you will end up wasting meter on a DD that's whiffing or being blocked easily and get punished for it (luckily your opponents were not adamant on punishing it so you got away with it several times). Also in the last video you hit an air distortion on the first round and you had another 50 heat you should have won that round by doing Fenrir (ground distortion) after you landed on the ground from doing Thor it would have killed him. try practicing that as well in training mode. do Thor and when you land from doing Thor do Fenrir. this is a basic double distortion combination for noel but is very useful if it would help seal a round for you if its going to kill them otherwise save the heat. another thing is running up trying to do j.4D its not really a great idea you can get hit out of it fairly easily as well. try to limit the idea of doing that unless your opponent is in the corner then it serves as a decent cross up. running up and doing 2D in the last video wasn't a good idea either try not to do that anymore too its pretty free to virtually all characters and you'll get either dp out of it afterwards or punished in general. practices your combos and learning how to turn random hit confirms into combos because that's pretty important. -

her heat gain in EX was rather retarded if you did the combos right you technically got 30 ~ 70 heat per combo but it varies from the hit comfirm. -

and everyone else has CTs in the game too....cost 25 heat so I don't see why he so special to gain that much heat as if he REALLY needs the EX moves outside of 214D to make certain combos connect together. Otherwise its not justifiable imo. for all I care his other EX moves is just icing on the cake of basic necessities to win a round in general. -

it doesn't makes sense to me tbh. I mean if we were going by how many hits in a combo to garner more heat then ok ill understand how hazama is getting it because he's atleast hitting you like 30 - 40 times per combo assuming its the ridiculous loop he does. but then again noel does that too maxing out 20 - 40 hits per combo but you don't see her getting anywhere near that heat they're banking in. this also applies to other characters like valk, litchi, nu-13, etc. -

does it strike anyone weird that noel gets significantly less heat in CP as opposed to ppl like hazama and jin? evenryone else virtually got hit in the heat department but those 2 still shit out heat it kinda bothers me. on average im seeing noel only getting around 17 - 24. I wonder if there's a way to increase that.
