And yet I don't feel too great about her palettes so far. 13 and 15 are OK and that's about it. It seems they removed her CS palette 4 (green clothes + red/orange hair/fur) which I used exclusively, so I am disappoint.

Yeah, I was about to post that, too. I wouldn't say unlimited because her picture and name aren't altered in any way. But then again...she is in OD and that looks like Planet Crusher, but Tager's health is <35%. So...either the Astral requirement changed, or that's some beefed-up ...Particle Flare 1st hit? Cosmic Ray? Her movelist online doesn't have a new super listed. I have no idea... And she has 7 heat...so it can't be Astral since removing 100% Heat and <35% HP requirement is terrible. Edit: It can't be an Astral. Here is the [Google Translated] Astral summary under the system tab on the webpage: "It is absolutely peerless mortal blow away if you hit your opponent with a single blow homely. The following requirements must be met to trigger. -That he is in a state of (victory in the next round of acquisition) match point. • The strength of the opponent is less than or equal to 35%. • The heat gauge is 100%. Character of its own character face icon flashes when the above conditions are met, can be triggered." So...no Burst Requirement anymore, but that picture is now a mystery.

I can only hope that Makoto's OD right now is a cruel joke. I heard people complaining about not being able to do anything good with it, and thought that was weird since it sounded like Makoto-version Blood Kain, but now I see it: it only lasts 2-3 seconds. Like...da fuck? That is NO time to be able to do something worthwhile and makes it basically absolutely useless compared to a burst. Edit: Yes, I do know that OD duration is based on health. And here is a video from Isuna that shows her activate it with <35% health and it lasts about 3 seconds (enough time for 5CC > 5D > 2D > jD > 2B).

As a Makoto player, I find this quite entertaining. A single move isn't going to destroy the gameplay of a character by losing its wall/ground bounce/stick properties, especially since combos are being shortened across the board in CP an dIm sure this is one example. Makoto lost ground bounce on Lightning Arrow and wallbounce on Shooting Star and Break Shot; it could be a lot worse. -
I would normally say that, but so far there hasn't seemed to be too big of a change with Makoto between the 3 loketests. And with the release so close, how comfortable would arcsys be with going "OK, Makoto needs to be fixed, lets overhaul her quickly and push it out" without any more time to test or how comfortable would we be with that? Either way, the last loketest should be really a "Let's make sure we didn't accidentally do something game-breakingly horrible," test and not "let's see if everyone likes this idea." I know that we do have little information and a relatively short amount of time to get in-sync with her CP iteration, but it's sounding like Arcsys has honed in what they want for her and don't have any time to, don't want to change her from how she is. /rant /paranoid

The positive info will be included with Blazblue: Chrono Phantasma 2, wherein Makoto is the most broken character in BB history. We get the pleasure of being competitive, but the pain of being labeled as "tier whores." Until this time, we are expected to sit on our ass and "enjoy" what Mori has decided to give us: a strange sense of worthlessness and excommunication from the rest of the cast as per Makoto's squirrel-heritage.

From where are you getting this info, do we have any chance of photo/video evidence of this and can we figure out if she retained what was her old 4th palatte (Redder/oranger hair, green clothes)?

Well it's official then...they have decided that Makoto requires a move that is absolutely useless in each and every instance.

5B sucks, but is bearable, along with no double jump after AV and 3C > 2B. The Dash boost sucks, but might not be too much of a problem with the faster system overall. Actually being able to follow up Lander Blow is nice because so far all we heard is no followup possible. With Lightning Arrow, do you mean it does make them bounce normally like in CS2 (FUCK YEAH), or is still like Extend (GOD DAMMIT)? I never quite understood what exactly was meant by "bound" as opposed to "rebound," "bounce," etc.

That is exactly NOT what I wanted to hear...especially after there being seemingly so much promise from her OD initially and SUPER especially after her awful Extend iteration.

Ok...this is just about the greatest day ever since the initial reveal. But...is anyone else preparing for some ridiculous, out-of-left-field reveal of another Murakumo with Nu/Mu? -
Does anyone know what's going on with Lightning Arrow or Comet Cannon in either of these loketests? None of the videos we have or any of the translations, many thanks for them by the way, have shown or mentioned either. Lightning Arrow was all but ruined in Extend and I would very much like to see it have some usefulness again. Comet Cannon has always had its niche in Makoto's arsenal, but with no information on it, I'm worried that they made it far worse or even impossible to use in combos.

Full invincibility eliminates the fact that it is ineffective against low hits. Its made to be high-risk compared to other forms of counters but with higher reward, just like everything Makoto has. I would prefer to see combo-ability on it's Level 2 charge without the use of a rapid. As it stands, the only way to get anything is a Level 2/3 + Rapid which is difficult and extremely costly even for such a high reward. Just keeping her close enough to the opponent with a 2 charge to allow at worst a 1.5-1.7k even with 60-70% proration would be great in my opinion. Level 1 charge is useless, level 2 is relatively easy to get with minor payoff, level 3 is difficult and costly but is one of the strongest things she can do. Hell, just making it easier to use at all compared to Extend would be great.

Ok, that's good news so far since it just means we have a new move and aren't losing anything. Major unanswered questions (at least for me): How does Cosmic Ray look/work? How does Lander Blow look/work? Is Lightning Arrow useful again or still useless like in Extend? Any changes to Parry? Can we combo off of back-throw at all? Air throw?

How sure are you that Lander Blow really is Shooting Star, just during Asteroid Vision (even though it always WAS during AV...stupid change then). I was really hoping that, from how the name implies, it might have been a sort of ground-pound or punch a-la Crimson Viper since she had a very noticeable attack in story mode that nearly killed Carl and cratered the ground. If it functioned as a sort of AoE shockwave on either side of her and/or was a new launch possibilty, I thought it would be really cool. But, apparently I cannot guess stuff like that solely off of attack names. Does 214ACCCCC > 2A work? Not letting us combo off of that not only feels, but also looks awkward. We've never been able to get much off it, they're just hating on Makoto... I don't think that Shooting Star was listed under Asteroid Vision on her movelist PDF at all, but without someone specifically telling me 'yes' or 'no,' I can only guess whether or not Shooting Star is useable/cancelable out of Asteroid Vision or no.

Plenty to see: 1) 2D doesn't send enemy as high as before @ 1:56 2) 2D > 6C in the corner @1:57 3) 5D > 6C pickup in the corner @ 2:04 4) Shooting Star wall stick @ 2:06 5) 6C > 214A~C > Shooting Star (maybe Lander Blow?) still works @ 2:54 5) Look at the back-step range on Shooting Star @ 3:32 Sure, we could have seen more, but that's a pretty good start.

Isuna, you are amazing for getting this footage. Noel's changes are looking pretty good (and balanced) right now, but I wish there was less of her (not your fault). If you manage to catch any Makoto footage you will become my favorite person on for the week. -
Those were my same thoughts, then NOPE; no vids or pics allowed. Maybe someone can sneak something or they'll just keep it quiet for the first day or two. Even so, any video is likely to be focused on Amane, Bullet and Azrael. Everyone stopped caring about Makoto after Extend.

Can the backthrow not be followed up at all because of this? What else would work? Either way, having 5D > 2C back, Shooting Star having Corner Bounce/Stick back is great, and the nerfs are't terrible and provide some decent balance while she retains her power. If we can confirm a fix to Lightning Arrow to have it floor bounce again and more info on her 2 new moves, I am starting to get excited for this after the atrocity that was Extend.

I've been thinking of it more like HD in KOFXIII. Costs you something important (burst as opposed to Drive meter), for a temporary powerup that enables more/better combos and/or boosts your characters skills. It's not free like X-Factor nor is it a straight-up power boost but more intricate than that.
