  10. two pages late: i can bring my recording equipment to UCC if it is desired. after the fact I will probably start bringing it to beatups since my only basic reason for not doing so is i'm too lazy to figure out how to take it apart/carry it efficiently

  18. 6C and Tsubaki were rarely used midscreen for their corner carry aside from the high-execution midscreen Tsubaki combo. 6C was not able to be followed up outside the corner and did not give oki. CS1 didn't have slide, come to think of it.
  19. Wasn't it reported that projectiles hitting parries could be blocked? j.C wall stick seems neat, interested in seeing what sorts of combo paths that opens up. While I do not personally have as big a beef with their balance direction, the main issue between versions seems to be that every single time they display that they have no idea what they want to do with the game's mechanics, always whipping out brand new ones and suggesting drastic changes to how characters work. They do not always work differently, but as you've stated, there's enough being jerked around that it is a significant turnoff for some. BB strikes me as the type of game that does not know what it wants to be. And I'm actually the opposite with Crush Trigger; it sounds nice in concept, but I'm really skeptical about it being good in practice, especially for Haku.

  22. Pretty much this. Though I had a reaction towards them changing j.2a for the same reasons as everyone else (a frowny one), it doesn't mean he's not going to have new combo paths that may be just as good or better, pending on how you are looking at it. Making him more midscreen-centric does not mean he will not have corner combos necessarily. This sort of thing comes up every loktest. They changed Tager's collider combos (finally) in CSE; this isn't really different, except Hakumen is only on the fringe of getting a major combo overhaul until CP, it seems. Either way, new combos are fun. Hopefully they aren't terribad. I don't particularly understand putting extra start up on 6d--what is 5d for? Either way, removing the ability to frame 1 high attacks damages his defense, as he would have nothing but Yukikaze to stop meaty overheads on wakeup.
  23. Buffer the 214 214 for Mugen while charging 6C, hit B after 6c hits don't mash other than that it's just trial and error / remembering what order of specials it wants. the timing for mugen -> renka (1) must simply be learned
  24. I had also assumed it to be the catch was special cancellable. Either way, it'd be situational at best since it's his overdrive, as the opponent may become overly cautious of parries once triggering it a la Mugen. I feel like being able to special cancel it only after the attack would be pretty useless as his overdrive. If it were a general change it would be more believable, but this is something you are likely only going to have access to once per match.
