  1. If only Noel could toss her beret to absorb some of the swords. That aside, OB your best bet, and super jumps. Noel's fast so just watch out for Lambda doing 6A as you're falling and try not to mash while airborne.
  2. Argent is a fun Arakune to play against. Haven't played against him in awhile. It's been awhile since I've ventured onto the XBL BB airspace. I might come check you guys out again! I wonder if I can still do combos. When in doubt. spam 6D!
  3. I haven't seen enough strong Amane, Bullet, Azrael, or Izayoi to decided rather Nu has a strong advantage either way. To me it feels like she's really good against all of them. But it's good to know what her advantages and disadvantages are. Considering that Growler Field for Azrael does minimal damage (500) I'm not inclined to believe it will be something he uses to escape pressure. The risk is too great. I might be wrong on this, but the absorb is considered "guard point" according to the wiki, doesn't that mean Nu is capable of canceling her drive into 22A? I've done something similar against Bang's a number of times. Also, does anyone know if Azrael can RC or combo off Growler Field? Amane, I don't see a lot of him. Has the chip situation been changed? Such as, eating the drill on knockdown versus barrier/normal blocking? To me the match up seems very momentumy. If I had a category to place it, I suppose kind of like Mu or something. Dunno. He feels sluggish to me. Not a fan of awkward movement. So I can see Nu having an easier time with that type of movement as opposed to Mu. I need to see some good Bullets. She's really rare now. Has everyone left her or something? She seemed kind of cool. Like a hop dash Tager. She moves too slow though. I mean, the game starts exactly like it does for Tager, we can do anything we want (if I'm not mistaken) and get away with it. Most match ups are guessing games on how to safely get to zoning. So this match up seems easy to me. That Heat-up thing seems good if she does manage momentum though, making her tough to get away from. That will make the match up interesting. At least more interesting than Tager and Hakumen at least. I'll probably be mostly disturbed by how awkward her neutral pose is. No info on Izayoi. I have nothing on this considering I have yet to see a match of the two. I may give a rain check on this one. Cool stuff I know. None of it has any concrete evidence, statistical backing, or credible background. Purely my thoughts on the new characters. If you want my thoughts on the newer characters, I'm fairly certain Terumi's drive will counter everything Nu does. Just a hunch.
  4. Ehh at least we know how to get to the prize. Kind of like Mu's crouchplate. All we need is a magnet and we can claim the prize. Anime is making it easier every day.
  5. I think I'm more interested in Kagura than Terumi. I wonder if they will have character specific stages. It could happen considering they're console exclusive.
  6. I played Mitsuru. She was easy enough. If Kagura is a charge-type I would be interested. Though I'm a bit turned off that he doesn't wield a rapier. Blazblue needs some rapier love.
  7. Actually there are three Noels
  8. That cloak Terumi wears reminds me of something. I just don't know what.
  9. Lambda can. She has a good backdash. Not every backdash is created equal.
  10. Nothing better than her new DD. She taunts you while endless swords stabs the opponent. I anticipate her getting exceptionally giddy if said person was Ragna.
  11. Protos (Gentarou) vs tiku (Tager) I know the Nu did get on the offense a number of times, but I thought she'd get a warning at least. But yeah, I don't think I've ever seen someone get Negative Penalty as of yet. Maybe I'm just seeing things. It's been awhile since I've played Extend after all.
  12. Random question but did they increase Nu's Negative resistance? I just watched a vid of her versus Tager and she didn't get a warning despite running so much.
  13. I suppose Face Lift cancels isn't something you want to consistently do during block strings then. It seems pretty effective from the Nu videos I've seen, like to continue pressure if the opponent is afraid to mash a button or DP. I'll try to utilize it though. But from the looks of it, Face Lift cancels are slightly faster than TK feints so it will probably see more use. Plus, not gonna lie, it looks so cool. Another burn was 236B having -7 on frame advantage. I can't believe it's worse than 236C. It's a good way to tell us to never use it outside of combos. Now that 2A is 7F start-up, will that improve our defensive options now that we lost Calamity? Truthfully, I seldom used 2A under pressure, but may consider it now. I will actually have to refine my mix-up considering that the wheel has less frame advantage. The start-up is slightly better than Extend, though I doubt that matters much, much better recovery as well. 54F vs 62F. I'm actually liking this version somewhat. As you can plainly see, I'm quite excited about all of this
  14. Looks like not much has changed with her normals, that's good. Though 5C confuses me a bit compared to the wiki. Does 5C[2-8] exist as a separate thing? I'm guessing that there are no differences in frame data between Luna and Dia drives aside from damage and projectile level. I feel better knowing that Luna Spike Chaser is indeed faster than Dia. Face Lift 31F recovery, pretty scary stuff. Can every normal/special cancel into it? Does the mook mention any new gatlings/cancels? Good job though Toan, I like how you laid it out, very easy on the eyes
  15. Lol, well apparently it's a running gag between me and ninjaelephant. But I tricked him, since I actually know how to use Aigis sorta GGs all I played today. FE-PLAYER, the mitsu i will never defeat. Kyou, the most random mitsu i've ever played. Psyken, the most derp fights ever. Dastardly, good yukiko. Arbitraryasian, the random character picker. Ozzy, the jumpy chie. GGs all. Let's again sometime.
  16. It's actually slightly faster than Ragna's overhead. At least they gave us something. Unless they made Ragna's overhead even faster
  17. Why is Tager not a Gundam yet? He needs to be more unlimited.
  18. What I have seen cannot be unseen!
  19. There are 8-man rooms where the host allows everyone to be 0 bars. So much red it should be illegal. And then, the best part, they complain about lag when I'm the only 3 bar in the room
  20. I wanna play some games
  21. Just to spite you. Jin
  22. You guys are forgetting some of the old school starting round methods for Lambda/Nu. There was 5C. That beat out like everything, unless they like jumped or blocked or something crazy. Then there was 4B, that was one of those super fly meta think things where you think that they think you will rush them at the start, but instead you do 4B because the best way to stop someone from running forward is a low attack. Then there's the nouveau riche starter, TK crescent. A mid-ranged overhead at the start? I didn't even know she had an overhead. And of course a personal favorite of mine 6D. This has particular use because people think Lambda will only ever IAD backdash under every circumstance ever. No man. Only bad Lambda's do that. That's why you gotta meta think. 6D. Owned. Next up is the absolute troll mind game that works on every Hakumen player ever. It's the most legit opener of openers because guess what, no one ever expects it. 214D. Or as I like to call it "why is Hakumen doing 5D at the start derp." Can you think of a more fail moment than that? Of course you can. Dash up 214A. Or as I like to call it "why is that Hakumen still doing 5D at the start herpderp." I hope you've gained some insight on the many ways a Lambda/Nu player can begin a round in BB. I hope you enjoyed the read.
  23. Persona Arena is much faster than BB so it doesn't feel as long. No worries. And you have FE to keep you company. Only gets bad with bad connections. That's when you start crying.
  24. That's what I've been doing lately. Eight-man p4u lobbies for the win. Though interestingly enough, by comparison, they're roughly the same amount of time.
