So is Persona 2 canon to Persona 3/4? I see a lot of people saying Persona 2 characters should be playable, but I thought the universes were different.

[P4AU] Mitsuru/Shadow Mitsuru info - Loketest Discussion
AchedSphinx replied to LegendaryRath's topic in Archive
I wonder how useful that new move she has will be. A notation isn't even listed for it yet. -
Well this certainly is surprising. I can't wait until this game releases.
-
Does that even happen? I've played plenty of Liz ragequitters, such as LynxKuroneko, but I don't think I've ever seen a Mitsuru ragequit against Liz. She practically wins the moment the round starts.

If anyone is interested in playing a Mitsuru let me know.

[CP] News & Gameplay Discussion (Old)

I want a boxart dedicated to nothing but belts. Belts. Belts. Belts. Man those belts. Some belts have belts on their belts. It's beltacular. It's like, the belt isn't just holding up their pants ( or whatever random garment they're wearing) it's holding up...their souls! Beltception. -
[CP] News & Gameplay Discussion (Old)

So essentially, in the 64-man lobbies, you walk around as your chibi person and find an open cabinet to play? Is there any way to regulate the skill level of the person you're playing against? -
I should probably update my location soon. I'm not in the area anymore. Would have been fun though! Anyways, GGs everyone. My Mitsuru seems to be getting better. Watching LK at Evo has hyped me up! Though I'm still nowhere near his level. But I've gotten better at those unexpected air-to-ground hit confirms and 2B set-ups. I still have the bad habit of using 5A to anti-air as opposed to 2B and I still need to work on my pressure. All in good time I suppose.

A Liz main learning Mitsuru will soon understand why the match up is so horrible and then suddenly the Liz main becomes a Mitsuru main. I'm just joking. You shouldn't find any trouble with Mitsuru. Her moveset is user-friendly, but people aren't fond of playing charge characters so it will take some time to get used to it. The thing you will have most trouble with are her confirms. Knowing her combos is great, but confirming into them is much better.

I find it impressive that I never play anyone from DL whenever I'm online and I have over 3k matches played.
-
Well, the combos weren't actually optimal. There were a number of places he could have increased the damage a bit, but it was a cool video nonetheless. Matches swd's style. I hope to actually see him pull them off in a conventional match though

[P4A] Mitsuru Kirijo Combo Thread (Updated 9/20/2012)
AchedSphinx replied to Jourdal's topic in Archive
Just tested it, does 4572 damage. Somehow I forgot about that combo and used a weaker version instead, I just couldn't remember how to do it. To get 4800, you might have hit the just frame with it. edit: or if they're close to the corner, you might be able to get droit A added after the droit B. edit 2: okay with droit A added it does 4782 damage. Great damage for a midscreen punish that requires no meter. I'll probably use this combo from now on since I was using some complicated combo for my midscreen 5C punishes. -
[P4A] Mitsuru Kirijo Combo Thread (Updated 9/20/2012)

Well, here's some 5C counter combos. [Corner] 5C [15] > [6B] > 2AB > droit B > 2A > 2B > 2D > j.B > j.C > bufula C > [6B] > 2AB > droit B nets 5162 damage, must be in corner 5C [15] > [6B] > 2AB > droit A > OMB > [6B] > 2AB > droit B > 2A > 2B > bufula C > [6B] > 2AB > droit B > droit A nets 5859 damage, same as the one above. 5C [15] > [6B] > 2AB > OMB > [6B] > 2AB > droit B > 2A > 2B > 2D > j.B > j.C > bufula C > 2AB > droit B > droit A nets 6021 (does 7765 if you double bufudyne), same as above, removed the droit A, seems to do more damage. [Midscreen] 5C [15] > 5DD > [4B] > 2AB > bufula C > [6B] > 2AB > coup B nets 4145 damage 5C [12] > 6B > 2AB > coup A > OMC > 2B > 2D > [6B] > 2AB > bufula C > [6B] > 2AB > coup B > coup A nets 5068 must be crouching 5C [12] > 6B > 2AB > OMC > 2B > 2D > [6B] > 2AB > bufula C > [6B] > 2AB > coup B > coup A nets 4938, basically a much easier version than the one above. 5C [12] > 6B > 2AB > coup A > OMB > [6B] > 2B > 2D > [6B] > 2AB > bufula C > [6B] > 2AB > coup B > coup A nets 5526, same as the version before, few tweaks is all, delay the OMB a bit after coup A I might do a video compilation of this or something. edit: clarified it a bit. -
[P4A] Mitsuru Kirijo Combo Thread (Updated 9/20/2012)
AchedSphinx replied to Jourdal's topic in Archive
I suppose I could try those combos out. I like to be flashy when the opportunity presents itself. Also, I normally do my air throw combos with 6B, but netplay can make it drop more than it really should. For an optimal OMB from 2AB, I think you're going to need to do 2AB > coup A > OMB to get the most damage out of it. -
GGs Magical Girl Nel and FE4-PLAYER. I had lots of fun and learned that I can become too predictable. I need to play this game more, since I'm currently auto-piloting my Mitsuru these days.

In my opinion, risk vs reward wise, Nu is at an advantage compared to Lambda when it comes to zoning. Since her wheel is pretty safe when she's at full range, and it hits low, but she won't get a lot of damage from it. Match-up wise versus Mak/Tsub, I'd say those two will still have a lot of difficulty getting in. It might be worse for them, or more annoying, because she can spam gravity a lot more, and stuff bad IADs with ease. Basically, she'll just be really annoying to fight against if you're not someone like Hazama or Tao. I actually need to review some of the combos she has now because there are quite a few now. It will be fun relearning Nu/Lambda. Though, I may make her my sub in CP if that new fellow turns out to be a charge character. Mitsuru's style is pretty fun.
-
I would be interested in seeing this. Haven't seen Protos in that many mirror matches. Well, yes, she was but her zoning is better now. She can use gravity seed more and has the old wheel back, so no need to use Blade at all.
-
You should check out some of the Protos videos in the video thread. He sticks mostly to Dia and tends to rely heavily on zoning and winning neutral. So most of his matches are long since he plays defensively, but he's the top Nu right now so it must be a winning strategy. That aside, Nu vs Hakumen looks pretty much the same now, but probably worse for Nu I suppose. Considering that Hakumen can get 5k damage out of nowhere (okay, he used like six megetama or something) if Nu messes up she'll probably just be dead. So expect really long drawn out games if you're playing against Hakumen. If you want to win, you have to zone, I don't think rushing is effective at all in this match-up. Though I did see Luna mode being used effectively by Protos, he was able to chip Hakumen down a lot with wheel oki, so I don't think Hakumen can easily counter that like he does in Extend. A lot of gravity was used. And I mean a lot. As long as you keep Hakumen from actually getting the momentum, Nu can win quite convincingly.
-
I like watching Protos play. Currently my favorite atm.

Good games to the people who I have played recently. I don't play enough, but it's good to play Mitsuru every once and awhile.

I miss Overheat and his video analysis
