Thanks for the tips Overheat. I think I'll get one soon.

Lol, good catch. I guess I'm already ready for summer break to get here haha. I kind of side with Xi-14, Kappa sounds funny. Edit: Also, how would I go about recording combo videos of my Lambda. Aside from getting say, a Dazzle, is there anything else I would need to stream and make videos?

Seeing tuka's delayed 214A gave me a few ideas for some midscreen combos. Some are practical. 6B(5B) > 3C > Delay 214A > 236C > 5C > 6C > 236D > 214D~C > 2DD > 2147D > 6DD > 2DD > jc > j.DD > j.2DD > jc > j.DD > j.2DD > 632146D—6122 damage, 55 heat j.B > 4B > 2DD > 214A > 2147D > dashing 6A > 6C > 236C > 5C > 6C > 236D > 214D~C > 2DD > jc > j.DD > j.2DD > jc > j.DD > j.2DD > 632146D—5663 damage, 59 heat 2B > 3C > Delay 214A > 236C > 5C > 6C > 236D > 214D~C > 2DD > 2147D > 6DD > 2DD > jc > j.DD > j.2DD > jc > j.DD > j.2DD > 632146D—5460 damage, 54 heat [CH] j.B > dash > 3C > Delay 214A > 236C > 5C > 6C > 236D > 214D~C > 2DD > 2147D > 6DD > 2DD > jc > j.DD > j.2DD > jc > j.DD > j.2DD > 632146D—6027 damage, 54 heat If anyone can get that last combo with j.B starter to work without a CH that would be awesome. I can't seem to make it work otherwise because the 214A delay whiffs. Edit: Some more midscreen goodness. 236B > RC > 5DD > 236C > 5C > 6C > 236D > 214D~C > 2DD > 2147D > 6DD > 2DD > jc > j.DD > j.2DD > jc > j.DD > j.2DD > 632146D—6126 damage, [50] 47 heat [50] [CH] 236B > RC > 236C > 5C > 6C > 236D > 214D~C > 2DD > 2147D > 6DD > 2DD > jc > j.DD > j.2DD > jc > j.DD > j.2DD > 632146D—6413 damage, [50] 43 heat [50]

Here are some practical 5k-6k combos I've come up with. These combos assume your opponent is in the corner. j.B > 3C > 214A > 236C > dash under > 5C > 6C > 236D > 214D~C > 2DD > 2147D > 6DD > 2DD > jc > j.DD > j.2DD > jc > j.DD > j.2DD > 632146D—54 heat, 6027 damage 2B > 3C > 214A > 236C > dash under > 5C > 6C > 236D > 214D~C > 2DD > 2147D > 6DD > 2DD > jc > j.DD > j.2DD > jc > j.DD > j.2DD > 632146D—5460 damage, 54 heat j.B > 4B > 2DD > 2147D > dashing 6A > 6C > 236C > dash under > 5C > 6C > 236D > 214D~C > 2DD > jc > j.DD > j.2DD > jc > j.DD > j.2DD > 632146D—5736 damage, 59 heat 2B > 3C > 236B > 5B > 6A > 2147D > dashing 6A > 6C > 236C > dash under > 5C > 6C > 6DD > 2DD > jc > j.DD > j.2DD > jc > j.DD > j.2DD > 632146D—4653 damage, 55 heat Since Lambda is rather close to the corner for these combos, they won't work on Jin or Noel, so you'll have to change them accordingly. Safest way is just to do 5C > 2C > air stuff after the dash under, nets about 500-1k less damage but still a good combo. I added the gravity-less combo in for continued pressure since at the end of the first two, your gravity meter will be about 4/5th full after sickle storm oki. Refer to the 236B > 5B table for the last combo. Edit: By practical I mean, if the opponent is in the corner and under the influence of sickle storm, those are your 50/50 options for mix-up and the combo paths they lead into. Edit two: Here's an impractical/situational combo. Opponent needs to be in the corner for it to work. Air throw > RC > 3C > 214A > 236C > dash under > 5C > 6C > 236C > 214D~C > 4B[2] > 2DD > jc > j.DD > j.2DD > jc > j.DD > j.2DD > 632146D—6185 damage, [50] 45 heat [50]' For the 4B[2] to hit, delay it a bit so that the 2DD will follow. Edit three: j.B starter can be changed to j.2C starter to net about 200 or so more damage. Not sure if it'll remain practical by doing so. Edit four: Came up with a few 7k combos. I'll let you decide rather they're practical or not (imo I think the first is). 236236D > 214D > 214A > 236C > dash under > 5C > 6C > 236D > 214D~C > 2DD > 2147D > 6DD > 2DD > jc > j.DD > j.2DD > jc > j.DD > j.2DD > 632146D—6986 damage, [50] 39 heat 236236D > 214D~C > 214D > 214A > 236C > dash under > 5C > 6C > 236D > 214D~C > 2DD > 2147D > 6DD > 2DD > jc > j.DD > j.2DD > jc > j.DD > j.2DD > 632146D—7287 damage, [50] 50 heat

Lambda 100% There is no Nu in my heart. Also, it should be noted, we will be getting a third character when part three of the game releases. So what you imagine that to be? Sword Summer III.

I think I set the record for most games kicked out of today. I just wanted to win some games to cheer myself up after getting bodied by Xdest so hard. First time I've ever been perfect matched
-
Me too D: Dunno how many times I dropped Calamity Sword.
-
For some reason, when I play the match-up, I think I shouldn't do anything and just wait for Tao to come in. I dunno why, but I think 5B, 2B, and j.B are the keys to this match up. Oh and 6A, which I never do because Tao is just too fast. I need to get better at this match-up haha. Interestingly enough I've gotten better with Bangs, Valks, and Carls, but I can't make heads or tails when it comes to Tao.
-
Thanks for the games. They were fun. I also cannot believe I managed to defeat Xdest. That's the second time in my BB career. I seriously wish I could play Tao like the way I do Valk, funnel them into one location and snipe :D Having five jumps and forty-two air dashes ruined that plan. GGs Xdest, Arcade, Flaming, and those pair of Tagers I played in CommanderofYomi's room. I'm starting to wonder if Tager's new sledgehammer is worth him doing. I just kinda stood there and punished.

2C when they're almost near the ground. 5C. 4B[2] about a frame or two after 5C ends. Yes, distinguishing 1/60th of a second will make or break this combo. Actually, kidding aside, its fairly easy to execute once you got the rhythm down. 6A > 2C > jc > j.DD > jc > j.2DD > 214D~C > j.2C > 2DD > air stuff, took me awhile to get right. The execution is crazy haha. Pretty fun though. Craziest thing was that I actually did it in an online match. Anyways, if you really dislike the 2C combos after a 236C hit you can do 5C > 214A > 4B[2], nets about the same damage or more. Also, in some cases 2C > 5C > 4B, does less damage than 5C > 2C > air stuff. If it's 4B starter, I'm certain 5C is better for that. Nets about 100 more damage. 236C or something like that, I'd say 2C.

Do it only if you instant block it. Even if he attacks, the 6A will come out and punish him. However, the better Hazama's will notice an instant block and think twice about auto-piloting in.
-
True enough. Though, it is a good way to punish slip ups and mistakes at least.

Yeah, I was in a room doing really well earlier when I had a good connection and I got kicked. It's so strange that the cast does lower damage, especially Noel and Makoto. I'm like... I'm not dead yet? It was funny, I joined this room where this Noel only did 2D, and I could hear the person pressing the buttons over the mic so it was pretty funny. All they needed to do was 6A to defeat it. I think you did well Arcade. Best way to hammer down those combos is to put them into practice. I actually put the sickle oki and TK stuff into practice a few months ago, so I still have a really long ways to go haha.
-
Ah cool. Looks like I'll stick with 236B > 5B then. I'll just have to add the dash in more. I've gotten fairly good with the TKs now, but I need to follow through with those j.B crouching hit confirms.

Here's to hoping people leave this weekend so I can get a stable internet connection. I'm fairly certain I have a ton of flames in my mailbox because I thought my dorm net would pull me through Jay's stream. edit: At least Arcadefire was nice to me :D

The basic CS2 combo of Lambda's in the corner. If you do 214D, I think that's the closest to 6k combo. 2147D RC, probably does it as well. Also, an impractical combo that does 6.3k roughly, would be 214D~C > 214D > 214A > 236C. It's tough to actually do in a game. But if you want a more steady way to get 6k, you can start with 236C > 5C > 6C > 236D > 214D~C > 214D > 2DD > air stuff. In most cases, since you can't do a second 236C you can do a second 214D, though the timing is rather tight. I haven't tested any of the combos I just mentioned, they're basically off the top of my head and I'm guessing they work. Oh, I forgot about Legacy Edge, which can get rather close to 6k. All in all, the combo I have been using are weird 214D tech traps after a second 236C. [CH] 2C also gets roughly 6k in the corner, I need to test it mid screen though. It should be noted, I always end my 4k-5k combos with Calamity because it's easy to do the 236D oki after wards. Most of my combos are Lambda's old combos from CS2 and most do a great deal of damage. I need to test some more since I can't really do her new ones as easily and really seek reliable ones. Oh and that 236B > 5B > 6A, I just browsed through Lambda's challenge mode combos and saw it. It looked rather useful so I considered trying it out later. Though, with 236B > dash > 5A, I'd be afraid of doing 6A instead of dash 5A lol. Does anyone know if 236B > 5B if it's character specific in the corner?

Some nice, useful tips for anyone facing Bang. The best way to win is of course, zoning. Bang is basically a rushdown character without an effective way to get into without nails, however, you can jump in specific ways to avoid them and make him waste nails. You want him wasting nails. Ever fight a Bang without nails before? Yeah, match-up becomes 5.5-4.5 (Lambda's favor) when he doesn't have them. You can bait him a bit if need be. 214D is good for this. Do it. He does drive. You punish in several different ways. Be patient overall if you want to defeat a Bang. If you throw out drives blindly he can easily use that second air dash of his to punish you for it, so be careful of that.

I must be falling behind. The only new combo of Lambda's I bothered to do was 236C > 5C > 214A > 2DD > 4B. I'm not sure if it's worth the effort to learn new combos when the old ones are just as good. I still manage 6k in the corner if I get a good hit in. Though 236B > 5B > 6A > 2147D in the corner is mad awesome. Gotta perfect that one for sure.
-
I need to practice my Lambda. Can't seem to get those legit 4k combos as easily, but conveniently everyone does like, no damage so I survive long enough to figure things out. Though, doing dash under 6A seems much easier to do, such that I kick them up high enough to do j.DD. 2C is also, very fun. It can screw a lot of characters up, such as Plat and her jump cancel with swallow moon. I'll be messing around a bit though to see what other things I can do.
-
Koinonea, if you want some games in with my Lambda in I'd love to play you, this weekend. I think that's the best time for my dorm net is this weekend. I feel bad about those wins I got.
-
Hmm, yeah, I really wish my internet wasn't such a downer then I could get some fun games going. I did manage to get screwed over in Abyss Mode. Lost all my points on level 2000. Hate Valkenhayn computers that always instant block and know exactly where I'm going to go.
-
Abyss Mode Lambda is seriously the most addicting thing ever. 4 jumps. Such fun.
-
Happy V-day Lambda players. Lambda hugs for all :D

It was all a dream...*screen quietly fades in from flashback* Welcome to the Twilight Zone.

Well it would be fun to have some unusual gimmicks against this guy to punish him for doing it all the time. But if you can't punish it. Seems like it'll be as annoying as Carl's version.
