With my Lambda action figure, I defeat Bang, Valk, Goku, Mario, Light, Litchi, Tao, Carl, Hazama, and Aegis, all the time. You'd be amazed how good she is when internet isn't involved.

Those match-up threads are looking a little lonely. Needs more swords.
-
Those swords counter her swords so hard it's ridiculous. When I decide to do a non-sword move I get countered by more swords. Eight swords is obviously better than one sword, however those eight swords fail against a really big sword. And when you can't get enough swords there's always twenty-two swords waiting in the corner. But that is also countered by twenty-two equally as potent swords. Goddamnit. I want more swords. Why does her twenty-two swords defeat my, equally as potent, twenty-two swords? That is when I realized... I haven't used my ponytail sword. That sword will literally break the game. Give me that sword. Turns out, that ponytail sword is countered by even more swords. tl;dr I want more swords.

Lambda is a pretty annoying match up. Just throwing it out there. Lambda is annoying because she effectively counters herself so well its... well... annoying! :D

Lambda Combo Video My first combo video. Posted it in the Lambda forums but figured I should post it here as well :D
-
Combo Video Finally completed the combo video I set out to do. Not perfect by any regard but it got done. Beave, your combo is somewhere in the middle of the video. Thanks all for watching. edit: I think I will do some more video references for combos that don't have one in this thread. If you have a combo you want in the video that doesn't have a reference, let me know and I'll do my best to make a video for it.
-
I'll try to make a video of it for you when I get the time :D
-
Hmm yeah, that combo you used swd has 2 4Bs, 2 6Cs, and 2 236Cs, it'd probably drop at the second 236C. Trying to figure out where to squeeze that last bit of heat I needed for the calamity ender was tough because I couldn't 4B or 236C, so I went with 6C. Luckily it worked. On the topic about punishing DPs, I usually just do 2B. It recovers fast enough so that you can block the DP as it's coming out, it also has higher P1 than 3C so it's a better starter overall if you want to punish someone.
-
Bro hug dude! Bro hug! On a serious note, it took me awhile to actually do it because I couldn't figure out how to get the Calamity Ender. Legacy Edge is Lambda's only 100 P1 that doesn't have repeat so I'm thinking this might be one of her highest combos. I'd love to see a 10k like in CS2 :D edit: calamity ender was the problem because Legacy Edge's 360F cooldown kills heat generation D:

Here's what I did during my free time.

We have a video thread for pro Lambdas and the like, so where should I post videos of my own, which are casual at best, that I don't want critiqued? Do we need to create a thread for the Lambda Community or just throw them in with the Pro players?
-
Alright. I will do a small combo exhibition video, for the combos I made earlier in the combo thread, and an okizeme tutorial. Some intermediate stuff. Here's to hoping I don't embarrass myself.
-
Oh I see. Thanks for the advice. I was honestly using 236C > 2366D as a test to see if I can do it. Did not know it wouldn't work like that.
-
Are there other ways of doing it because I only saw it that way.
-
I kind of thought that 236C > 2366D was mostly for show in CVs and not actually useful in gameplay. Suffice it to say, I have yet to get it to connect. I literally did 236C > RC > and 2366D and it connected. Then I did it without the RC in the same position and it always blue beats. This game is seriously trolling me. Though I can see its usefulness for corner carry mid-combo, but it just refuses to actually connect for me.

I want a cookie.

My 88 PSR is looking quite impressive then. I'm happy I got lv20. Now my P$ have no use.
-
I will try to get some videos up some for references to my combos if there aren't any videos for them.
-
Oh so it's fine if I make a tutorial video as well? I'll get started when the pvr gets here. Hopefully I can figure some things out. I already have an idea so we shall see how it pans out.

Instant air back dashes; is, in most cases, faster than air back dashing. I think of it like a triangle. An air back dash is jumping up and then moving backward, whereas an instant air dash is doing both at the same time. The line is longer, but it covers both points faster. Learning how to do it is pretty key to Lambda's mobility, and also the reason you get hatemail at 3 in the morning because that's what Lambdas do. And if people are pissed off about it, obviously that means instant air back dashing is overpowered :D
-
I'm guessing you mean air back dashing. I don't get grabbed in the midst of doing it, so I think, if you're getting grabbed while doing it, you're doing an air back dash instead of an instant air back dash. If that's the case, just repeatedly do it in training mode until you get the feel of doing it. If you're talking about spacing and mobility, you have options aside from air back dash, but Lambda relies a lot on reflexes for those types of situations. If someone runs forward, you can run over them or through them, but its all in how you react to it in the frames given to you. If you're afraid that your mobility is lacking, you can easily just control their mobility, since most games involving Lambda are rather slow, which is where she wants to be. If you're moving a lot, it increases the odds of you making a mistake. In most cases, if speed is what you need, you'll have to increase your reaction speed and reflexes. Not sure if that answers your question haha.

I'm not sure how this works but I've ordered a pvr and I plan to do a few combo exhibitions and a okizeme tutorial, maybe some other things as well. Is that fine or is someone else handling the tutorial?
-
I still have my original PS2. Hasn't failed me in 12 years! :D

Hex, you just made my day. Forget Xi-14. Kappa-10 all the way! Edit: Not sure if Overheat is still around, which Hauppauge recording device do you recommend? Also, will I need a separate device to stream video?
