Lambda, you're so cute. I kind of wonder if Lambda can shoot laser beams out of that visor of hers. Might be a hidden talent. Along with ponytail blades and the riddle as to how she would manage to sit down.

I think for the most part it was the fact that I would block for an insanely long time and then follow up with one of Lambda's patented 4k combos. Lambda does some ridiculously good damage, the problem is actually getting that damage. But when you do, it's very fulfilling. I still miss 86 P1 on 4B. That ability gave me so much damage. It still does now, but yeah, memories man. I will try to get on Friday. We shall see. I play on a bunch of various alts now though. Because I can't afford to keep AchedSphinx active. I'll let you know when I get a new alt since the one I have now is running out of time.

Kind of my thoughts, but centered on Makoto. Like, she spent upwards of 10 in game seconds to do a combo that roughly netted 3k. Then I roll out of the corner, got a 5C counter hit (not even sure how that happens with Lambda) and created a 6k combo that took roughly 5 seconds to do. I felt bad. -
I wish I could understand what he said. At least CaButler was consistent and made sense. CaButler, you're the only one for me.

Beave, I will show you the video in which it happened when I get time to upload some games. You'll probably think I'm broken too. My life would be so much easier if I instant blocked. As of late, I seem to be doing much better than I used to be. I play so incredibly slow it's crazy. Playing Lambda like a zoner only is rather fun at times, but you do need to go in close sadly. I need to do sickle storm more. Everytime I do it midscreen I have no idea what to follow it up with other than 4B[2], but if they know I do that a lot they'll block high. The way I've seen it done was Lambda jumps high, does jc and 214DC to fall and do 2B > 3C into gravity. That's literally the most technical exchange of abilities I've ever seen haha. But yeah, I'm getting there. You still in California Beave? I'll be off of dorm net this weekend so I will have a good connection finally. What I should do is rent a room in the library and bring my T.V and xbox and play there. Library internet is insanely good lol.

Hello fellow Lambda'ers, I had an interesting moment today. I was playing this Tao player and he said Lambda was broken. I was literally taken aback. I mean, do all Tao players think Lambda is broken? Seriously some crazy times on the American East servers. He said this while I was blocking for twenty seconds. Not literally, but it was a really long time D:

I had an interesting time online today. Played against an unlimited Rachel, while I picked Lambda, and somehow or another I astralled the guy. Funny part about it, he did a random cat chair and I ran in and did the astral. The moment Lambda initiated the hug, he disbanded the room (this actually happened during a team battle at that). I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. Also ggs to Leonil and friends. That Carnage had me scared. Though I guess you were banking on the fact I would do 214D~C since you were fullscreen away.

I tested it and had to do 2366D to get it to work on Ragna.

Probably about the same, maybe more. The one I did was 6021 damage, so replacing with 6C might net a bit more damage. You could also replace the 2DD with 214D. It's a basic combo so you can replace how you feel comfortable with :D

Oh I see. Wow, I did not know that. I was just amazed that the damage increased so much haha. But that makes sense. Thanks for the answer. edit: Hmm, I have another question now though. If it goes based off the P2 after the guard crush, can you do 214A since it has a P2 of 99 and follow it up with 236C? The frame data for 214A confuses me a bit, but it says it has 44F of hitstun, which means you should be able to connect 236C with it right?

For a bunch of 6k+ practical combos. If you want to try counters as well. Hope that helps! :D That aside, I have a question in general. Does anyone know how much damage guard crush adds? I'm fairly certain it increases damage in combos but I'm not sure by how much. I'm assuming it's maybe 110 P1, just a guess.

Plenty. Her higher ones are in the corner and can be from j.B or 2B starters into gravity. Basically, gravity makes 5k-6k combos happen for Lambda. Here's a basic corner combo that does about 6k. (corner) j.B > 3C > 214A > 236C > dash under > 5C > 6C > 236D > 214D~C > 2DD > TK > 6DD > 2DD > air stuff. midscreen: FC 214A > 236C > 236D > stuff = 7k. @Beave, I wouldn't say it's optimal, well it is, but getting a FC 214A is tough though. The person would need to do a move that has poor recovery or do a predicable grab. You could even do 236A > 214A to bait a grab. Either way, once you do a FC 214A following up with 236C > 236D seems optimal, you just have to do a lot of dashing moves to get the combo upwards of 7k. Check out Over's CV, he does a number of 6k-7k damaging FC combos. @Overheat, is that why you were doing 1 5C hit and went into 6C in your CVs? Referring to your general rules that is.

The combo I did in that 9133 vid would probably be roughly 7.5k-8k without the gold bursts. (close to corner) 214A FC > DBL Burst > 236C > 4B[2 hits] > Calamity > 5C > 6C > 236D > 214D~C > 214D > 2DD > TK crescent > 5C > 6C > 5DD > 2DD > air calamity ender. I don't have the heat gain for that combo off the top of my head, but it's at least 50 heat. And yeah, not optimal either, but I like having fun with combos. Also, Overheat, your notation is 214A FC > 236C > 236D, does that mean you don't need to do 236DD if it's a FC 214A? It's just a confirmation of my question from the Q&A is all :P Seeing as how many times Lambda can use 214D in a combo, I have a feeling that will get a repeat prorate soon D:

Ah, thanks for the rapid fire responses. My reasoning for using it was because it would lead to a 6K+ meterless combo midscreen as far as punishes go and figured you could do the same with 5C, but you'd have to do that 236DD for the wheel to connect so I thought 214A would be better. The only problem I saw with gravity was the range. I just really wanted to know if it worked consistently on everybody then it I would make it my goto punish since gravity will more than likely be up by the combo's end. I felt that FC gravity > 236C > 236D was different so I wanted to know if it was universal.

I always have an affinity for the robot girls, so I'll be sticking with Aigis for this one. She doesn't really play like a zoner, maybe mid-range like Lambda, seems pretty fun. Though I wonder if they'll add any console exclusives. If they do, Aigis' sister would be an interesting choice.

I have a question. Lambda's 214A/B/C, it has a 13 frame start-up. It also have throw invul. But, wouldn't it make a better punish than the majority of Lambda's abilities. Specifically, when I was doing the FC counter vid, I did a 214A fatal, 236C, 236D. Of all the abilities Lambda can use to punish a bad move, I want to know if gravity would be the best, midscreen or fullscreen. I checked for the recovery on things like Inferno Divider, and it will become a fatal if she punishes with 214A, of course this would only work for things with bad recovery, mostly DPs. Question: FC gravity > 236C > 236D. I've read the chart Emjay provided, I was just curious does 236C > 236D always connect on characters, or is it still the same as in the chart. I'm curious because gravity slows ascension which makes me wonder really. My extend disc went boom so I can't really test to see for myself.

Makes me wonder why they decided to remove 5C cross over. Of all the moves they should have left from CT Nu, I think it should be that one. Every patch I wish with all my heart that they bring it back. But I digress. I agree with you though. 5C mash is a pretty bad way to go about things since you'll be left pretty open. Do that less and you'll see lots of improvement. -

Makes me wonder if 5A would have done it then. Hard to say, it could have whiffed, but he was dashing so 5A probably would have caught him. If dashing 2B beat 2A, makes me wonder what he ended his pressure with.

If only. Though, you could have maybe baited him into doing 236C, and killed him with a normal. But I dunno. In those situations, if a person has one primer they expect a 236C so I spam 214D~C. Much safer. Is this a critique? If so, it should be in the critique thread.
