Welcome to the forums, but this is the wrong place to post these questions. The proper thread is here: http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?6495-Help!-The-quot-I-m-a-n00b-seeking-advice-quot-thread That said, if your 214C is blocked, rapid. If you didn't have 50 heat though, you're fucked. For midscreen, first practice: 5B>5C>Sekkajin>66C (this is a microdash before the 6C)>2D>6B>sekkajin>6C>214C Then practice these corner combos: 5B>5C>623B>6C>dash>5C>6C>623C>5B>5C>2C>sj.D>land>5B>2B>5C>3C>214A>214A 5B>5C>623B>6C>dash>5C>6C>623C>5B>5C>2C>sj.D>land>5B>2B>5C>3C>214C 5B>5C>623B>6C>dash>5C>6C>623C>5A>5C>2C>623C After that, move onto more advanced midscreen combos: 2B>5B>5C>Sekkajin>dashing j.2C>j.C>j.D>6C>214C 2B>5B>5C>Sekkajin>66C>2D>j.2C>j.C>5B>2B>5C>3C>214C 2A>5B>5C>Sekkajin>dashing j.2C>j.C>j.D>6C>214C etc. After those, go back to corner combos and practice the harder ones in this thread. After this point, you should just keep trying to pick up more and more combos until you learn the majority of them. Don't get lost on just practicing combos though... pressure, spacing, and okizeme are very important, as is defense.

I wasn't sure how long it took for his drives to become active, but now that I looked at the frame data, yeah, that wouldn't work. Well shit.

I actually meant 1A+B... The 2A/barrier block "OS"

[CSE-CP] Jin Players List and Availability Information
Jyosua replied to Chris Chaos's topic in Jin Kisaragi
Oh thanks, I forgot about updating that here. XD -
Mystic was pretty fun to play against. I'll miss our netplay matches.
-
Man, nobody in the Florida thread near the panhandle? Or did you all just forget about my post?
-
I used to hate mirrors, but now they make me lol because of how god damn silly they are. I just saw that crossup. There was definitely a microdash before the 5C. I can't believe I never thought of microdashing 5C...
-
Hey, if you do 2A+B on his wakeup can he counter it? If not, you could use it to see if he uses TK Hotaru and avoid him countering a real meaty.
-
Actually, include Lambda in my list of non-hates. She's not all that bad anymore, so as long as I'm not dumb, I have a chance. I'd much rather fight Lambda than Mu any day of the week. I used to hate him because I tried to frame trap him... I took many a 720 to the face for it. Hundreds of matches later, I realized how abusable his hitbox is. Or you got Magnetized. But I realized recently that Touga beats spark bolt. Then I felt dumb.

The only reason MvC3 did that was because most of Capcom's characters are either Japanese or were originally voiced in Japan and sound better in their respective languages, with a few exceptions. It's a good idea, but it's not something I'd expect a game based on a JRPG to do. Here's hoping for better online play.

I hate everyone except tsubaki, hakumen, tager (I used to though), makoto, relius, and rachel. Oh and Jin.
-
Opening a room again. Same name as usual, streamed.
-
Yeah, I was replying to your post. XD You had a Japanese PS3? D: Lucky.

I will be near/in Fort Walton Beach the 6th-10th. I won't get in until late on the 6th and will leave early on the 10th, but if someone wants to bring P4A to my Hotel room sometime on the 7th-9th and play Casuals with me, that would be awesome. I'm flying back to Florida for some training at Eglin.
-
I might be up for stopping by on a Friday night or something. Are you also going to Super Arcade on Saturday?
-
Waiting until the opponent moves to let go will always lose you the RPS game, as you've already ensured their move will come out first due to the 10 frames it takes for the followup to hit. You're supposed to yomi your opponent's button timing. Tsubaki's best option is to Jump. microdashing for a poke or jab on Jin isn't all that safe either. Jump only has a startup of 4, so even if the Jin doesn't charge at all, worst case scenario is you barrier block in the air, but even then you should theoretically dodge it assuming everything is timed perfectly.

Oh, I'm going. Giving CMSORA a ride there too. Expect to see me at every one of Xiei's Ranbats, and every Cali major provided I have monies. Fuck that. I will never give up my screen name. I am determined to make myself known in every game.
-
Sorry dude... I would love to play you but I just can't stand sporadic lag spikes. We're gonna have to play IRL some day. GGs to the people who joined my room. My salty ass is going to bed now.

I'ma open a WEST TOAST (Yum...) stream, open room. Room name is TwitchTV/Jyosua
-
Yeah, that's pretty much my thoughts too. It also works well as an opener on certain other characters too, but it depends on the opponent's habits. Ah, those must've been what he was talking about. The release is 10 frames. If you release immediately, Tsubaki will definitely get hit by the followup. That should theoretically condition the opponent (Tsubaki) into thinking of other options, which then opens up the possibility to hold it longer. Isn't 214D a 22 frame startup?
-
True, but I hit people with that shit all the time. People like pressing buttons at match start, and the later invulnerability helps you snag a counterhit out of it quite easily. I'm fairly certain that you are correct about this, as I have heard this too. IIRC, TheGreatReptar mentioned this to me. I generally give 0 fucks about Tsubaki’s DP, because a well-timed 6B can not only dodge her hitbox, but also hit her in return. Another note about this: most Tsubaki players like to cancel into a dive when they see you going for the air grab. Depending on the startup, you may or may not get fucked by this. Yeah this actually highly depends on spacing and who wins the RPS game. Whether or not to hold is debatable because the whole point of Jin’s followup is a guessing game of when to press/release buttons. However, DP D can beat this if the spacing is correct. A good Tsubaki will not allow this to happen though, so pay attention to your opponent’s attentiveness to spacing.

Arakune, then Litchi.
-
It could be that, or it could be the stick. I'll have to give it another go before I can really narrow down what was different. As far as super arcade, I'm definitely going.
-
A lot of Jin's frametraps are about 3 or 4 frames though, and can also be punished on IB. The idea with Jin is to frame trap the shit out of them without using the same crap all the time. Yeah the removal of 2C > 5C really pissed me off. If 2D is blocked I generally safe jump.
-
That shit was hard. Good. But hard as balls.
