It's useful for combo mechanics but nothing further. You can learn the same things more efficiently using optimal combo threads.
-
Hahahahaha. Quoting these.
-
Yeah jumping out is how I deal with it too, because fuck taking chances with that shit.

That's actually exactly what causes me to start doing things I know about but don't ever put into practice. It takes everything not working for me to try something new. Probably not, but if the unblockable isn't exactly timed right you can block the low for the first hit, and then stand up for the rest of the moves and block the high.

Well at least the wiki was right. You had me worried that I mistranscribed it.

I envy you. I've been playing BB (seriously) for 8 months, and it's my first competitive fighting game. You're much, much better than I. Feux won the first major he ever went to, and he's primarily a netplayer IIRC.

http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?12998-CSE-The-Jin-Gameplay-Mechanics-Thread-(Under-Construction) and http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?12882-CSE-Sekkajin-x-N-The-Jin-Combo-Thread-(Updated-5-23-Complete-Thread-Overhaul) The challenge mode combos aren't really going to help that much except for giving you a general idea of what combos into what. You definitely want to learn optimal combos. I know that thread seems huge, but the combos are very similar to each other and the more you practice the more you'll notice that there are only small differences. As far as pressure, the Mechanics thread is definitely a great read. The idea behind Jin is hit/throw mixup combined with resets with a few gimmicks sprinkled in. You want to frametrap the opponent with Jin's gatlings and go for throws or ambiguous crossover mixup once you've conditioned them to respect you. Be careful about people using DPs after 6B. You can go for high/low 50-50 resets any time the opponent has landed on the ground during a combo and you can throw in a 5B.

Looking forward to that too, but let's be honest: GG has a much smaller appeal. The IP is old and a new entry isn't going to rebound the turnout numbers THAT much.

It seems the closer to the release of P4U we get, the more this section dies.

When you get back at school, you need to test your connection with me. Your school connection was better than Kurushii's connection, and I got a smooth 2-bar with him when I played him from here in Cali. We might be able to still play matches.

Ahhhhh, yeah that's probably it. Wonder if I should submit a report to the bug tracker from chromium.
-
There's nothing html or css-wise that should cause that... I think it's an issue with Chrome.

I hadn't seen people doing throwbait punishes, crossunders, and sideswap combos with Relius. But I'm just the one that put the video together. Guardian is the one who did the shit and picked what he wanted in it. I really think it's meant to show people what he can do, not necessarily show new shit.

You should watch Gaurdian: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W9sq9pZCdRM

Quote for fucking truth.

Yeah... no more Jin crossup problems. ~_~

Sorry Jourdal, but I'ma have to give 0 fucks and use the same palette as you. If they add a sweet purple palette like Jin though... I'll be all over it. The images look really small sometimes... but otherwise it's fine. I'm sad that probably nobody will use the wiki except me. It's easier to navigate though...

Yeah that's j.B. Ice mirror is Bufula. I'm surprised how well that works. The next time I sit down with the game I'm going to try that, especially since Bufula makes for pretty good oki.

Well, when I played there we couldn't change the button settings. Even still, I have a policy of keeping the button layout the arcade uses in case I play on a real machine. That doesn't stop anyone else from picking the better BlazBlue layout, although with the button combinations it might prove even more cumbersome. But if you're already changing the button layout, you might as well use macros too.

Yeah that's why I said Stream/Recording. I mean, theoretically I could stream using my unlimited 4G but the quality might not be fantastic. At the same time, I know the limitations of recording stream footage, so it would be far better to have a second capture running to capture HD footage rather than saving the encoded video that's being streamed. I've toted my setup around quite a bit and only need a tiny bit of room for box/keyboard/monitor/mouse. A 2'x3' area would be enough. In the future, I'm also going to build a more portable streaming PC. I want to build a micro form-factor tournament friendly PC, without having to resort to an external capture card.

Uhhh I went to Evo, so yeah, I have played P4A. https://twitter.com/Jyosua/status/221758135365419008/photo/1 Oh, well the burst still worked with all 4 buttons, but I'll keep that in mind. It's still awkward though.
-
Hahaha. Apparently you haven't done your research. The official Arcade layout for P4A is this: AC BD I have no fucking clue why they didn't stick with the BlazBlue layouts.

San Diego's thread of meetups every Friday Night at SD Saltmines
Jyosua replied to shtkn's topic in West Coast
So I think I'm too tired to make the drive to San Diego after work tomorrow. I'm worn out between Evo and work. Need a break. Maybe next week. -
I found that on stick the button layout is still awkward. The buttons are so crammed together that it actually makes it hard to press all 4 at the same time, and 3 is similarly awkward but not as bad. It's also easy to press the wrong 2 buttons
