  1. Sonic Adventure 2 anyone? The only 3D Sonic game worth playing...
  2. I wasn't necessarily just talking about that gatling. Nobody respects 6B and its shitty advantage. Ah yeah, you'd have to delay it. I wasn't actually calling you out when I said that. XD I was thinking of some other people I play against a whole lot. It's a 4 frame gap, so yeah... it's a good frame trap that I use a lot. I actually only discovered the 2D cancel on big hitboxes relatively recently. It's pretty awesome though.
  3. I lol'd.
  4. Yeah, apparently so. I mean, it was minimal enough that I could do microdash 6C > 2D with Jin just fine, but I was having trouble doing sekkajin > j.2C > j.C > j.D and occasionally my microdash 5Bs after 6B would mess up.
  5. It remembers colors too, so it's not all that bad. It doesn't have a rematch button, but it comes very close to being completely unintrusive.
  6. I'm not sure if it's the joystick equipment or if there's some display lag, but it's definitely harder to play on that Arcade machine than my home setup (Sanwa stick parts and Evo monitor) Also, I think something was wrong with Chaos code. I couldn't get a two player vs game going...
  7. I'm at round 1 if anyone else is in the area and wants to play BlazBlue.
  8. You could probably play against Kuru, H4NZ0, Gaurdian, and a couple others online. They have good connections.
  9. Right, as Hakumen that's what you should do. But using the 3C gatling will work wonders against the mashy assholes who disrespect 6B every time. Unfortunately, it probably won't work well against characters who block and DP or just DP (like Ragna) or Hakumen, but it's good to realize there's another option.
  10. Yeah, I'm excited to play on an Arcade. I've been waiting for the chance to do so. I'ma print out some directions and head down there now.
  11. I might have to check this out tomorrow... Or maybe today. Anyone wanna meet up there later? I'm currently waiting for my car to finish having it's oil changed, but after that I might head over.
  12. Everyone good expects 6B, for the most part.
  13. Shit, so did I and I went through all his gatlings calculating frametraps. Adding to permanent memory now.
  14. Yeah, when I moved everything over, I tried to make it as clear as possible which combo was which, and I kept the HTML formatting (tweaking it a tiny bit) to make it easier. If someone isn't familiar with HTML, it would probably be harder, but it sure as hell looks nicer that way.
  15. *too lazy to sign up for twitter* *enough energy to run Jin forums and Plat combo thread*
  16. I generally keep one or two things to myself for a while if I find them. Especially if it's a dirty reset or something gimmicky of the sort. I haven't come across too much of the sort though.
  17. I could swear I read that it could be canceled at the peak of the hop. I'm gonna look that up now. Edit: yeah, it can.
  18. I actually like finding shit on my own too, but every time I found something cool with Jin there was already it or something better listed in the combo thread.
  19. Or the guise of "I fuckin' moved motherfuckers"
  20. I've had many a time where I'm like "How the fuck does this connect?" and visual aides would have been really helpful when I was starting out. Personal lab time is always good, but you gotta remember there are those who have never played FGs before... that's especially going to happen with this game.
  21. BlazBlue and KoF are definitely the closest. As long as I keep the original editing files, I can insert or delete combos as needed to the tutorial. It's rather simple. And while yes, the most optimal combos probably won't come out for a while, not getting started with this in the very beginning means it never happening. Like the Jin tutorial. :P That's borderline useless at this point... many people are dropping BB entirely, and I waited so long for it that most of the shit that will be covered in it I went off and learned on my own. Pretty much this.
  22. All you have to do is record them all in a video, and create time links to the corresponding combos. Update it occasionally. Not that bad, and easier to manage if done from the start.
  23. That's actually exactly what I was thinking, but it brings up the point that optimal combos really need to have video clips with them. I'll probably take the time to do that once the game comes out.
