Never been hiking before but I'm up for arcana for sure lol. I guess KBBQ is worth hiking though.

Terumi may lack overheads but if he can do a rising jumping move as an instant overhead and confirm it with OD>air-soutenjin into further stuff he may have some nice setups for it. He also would have an excess amount of RCs to use so maybe something like Valks risingJC>RC>JC>land combo stuff.

Actually, there's a video somewhere out there of hakumen comboing about 8 Shippuu shockwaves at full screen range into eachother by doing mugen and OD so you're not wrong at all lol. OD Shippuu's shockwave staggers on standing hit. His magatama basically evens out, the OD gain cancels out the mugen loss so he stays at whatever magatama count he was at when he did mugen, then once OD wears off he still is in mugen until they run out. This effectively means about 20 seconds or so of mugen for him, though he has to be at like 10% health for this much OD. Right, Ragna's OD is good, the guy who I was answering asked specifically about "combo potential" though, no side-gains such as life gain or zoning buffs or higher pressure stuff were relevant, things like Tager getting a free spark bolt or Rachel having infinite wind to mix you up with or Arakune getting instacurse with any D are very good too, I was just not considering them in the answer I gave since they don't apply to combo potential.

There's actually more uses than that out there. Some people will burn OD right off to get the benefit of it (such as instant lvl 3 Drill for Amane, free meter or charges for those with stock and Hakumen, etc). Also, Ragna's OD has the function of allowing him to do 4.3k from a 5B meterless due to BK 2D being dash cancellable, it basically acts like a free RC, even when he has full life and does it as an OD cancel. I've seen multiple occasions where very good JP players would do 5B 5C OD 5C 2D-dash into real damage as soon as the round begun. OD is most often used to seal the kill yeah but some chars like Ragna and Litchi will often just take the extra 2k it adds to their basic confirms which otherwise would do not much damage at all over it.

Like I said, my randking was more of an "ultimate damage ceiling" kind of ranking, I think I explained after it that there's many other factors to consider and that it's too soon to tell. (because nobody here actually has the game yet and match videos aren't good enough for that kind of an analysis)

Hakumen >Tsubaki > Mu > Amane > Bang or something like that. Amane needs a ton of meter for it but he can do 10k easily while Bang has the potential for a 4.6k reset following his 5-6k combo. Hakumen just does it off of grabs for nothing and Tsubaki can just ignore SMP and if she has her install available she too does like 9k off of basic starters. The way OD is used now, it's more about how well you can confirm into it with a good and easy to land starter rather than examining how much damage you can do on a training dummy by initiating a combo after having activated OD. Also, how much OD you need to get the damage matters too. With full life Bang doesn't get much but Ragna and Litchi both can go into great combos out of easy to land moves like 5B. Examining full-duration-OD combos is fun but I think an overall analysis should take into account combos from varied OD durations rather than just the ultimate ones and that's kinda too soon to tell atm.

I uhh....never played it once! As fun as fighting broken chars with broken chars may be, in the end I just enjoy fighting people more. It's why I don't use unlimited chars in rooms where my foes do. I just don't enjoy the game as much when it becomes a broken mess. I like the balance. I've had people yell at me to use unlimited chars on rare occasions though, and in those times I just used Rachel and it was just...gruesome. Tempest Dahlia alone does so much damage and guard primer damage and george is out for ever. It's not even funny lol.

I think a US release date and how the Terumi DLC plan for that will pan out would be something to reveal. Also some more video of gameplay with the console only chars. Oh and on the prior discussion. Dunno, I like all BB music. All astral music and instrumentals and everything else. I especially like the vocal versions of some other things, my absolute favorite of those being Stardust Memories sound by Kanako Kondou. I don't get what people dislike so about this or that song. Just cause you like one better (and yes, Iconoclast for me will always be the "BB song" for me) it doesn't mean you have to crap all over the rest. It's fine to like everything in an unironic fashion.

Last night was a blast. Now I have all those paper towels to help me clean house in BB.

I only played a bit of that 3D KOF game (I was the Mai therein the end) and the baki the grappler sequel since I spent most of my time in arcana so I'm actually looking forward to our next meetup whenever that is so I can get to play more awesome kusoge. :D

I generally do netplay a ton but I actually lack the game...though after our gathering I was sorta kinda contemplating buying it since the new version won't be out for like a year it not more and I'd wanna practice at home. I was under the impression that it would be coming out much sooner than that for some reason lol. I'll let ya know what I decide to do. You can go ahead and add me on psn either way.
