Depends mostly on the distance, but loosely speaking, I can't imagine it being very likely. The hitbox on 4C isn't particularly "safe", as your "hittable box" also extends quite a bit, so if anything, you are more likely to get counter hit than the other way around. I wouldn't recommend fishing for AA hits with 4C.

i actually haven't gone through the first post before, so just a few comments: Sharon is also written in kanji as 赭龍 change "Satu" to "Satuu/Satou" since he really is "Satou", but because of the funny way he writes the う as small ぅ, match commentators read his name either way. (in the kanji "acronym" list) 聖 is read "sei"; 鍵 is read "kagi". add 火九 (Kakyuu) and ふぃるむ / フィルム (read "film" in either way) to the list of Hakumen players 銃 means "gun", not "bullet". in the VS player names, is 修 really "Shuu"? It can also be read as "Osamu" when it's to be used as a male given name, just fyi. (If you're sure, then don't mind this comment.) isn't ふご read as "fugo"? the katakana for Q-Bee should be キュービィ. (Right now, it says "random" for some reason.) As for the versus city article, a handful of definitions are wrong: the correct definition of "abare" is in the first post of this thread, which I translated from a Japanese FG wiki. Actually, if you could, I'd like to refine the explanation a bit by adding this: "The difference between 'abare' and 'buppanashi' is basically the risk factor involved: 'abare' is usually associated with attacks that have relatively low risk, whereas 'buppanashi' is usually for high risk attacks, especially specials and supers." "sukashi" is wrong, I think he looked up "sukashi" in WWWJDIC and took meaning #2 lol. doesn't make sense. Here's the definition from the Japanese FG Terminology dictionary wiki: http://www.kakuge.com/wiki/body.php?word=%E3%82%B9%E3%82%AB%E3%82%B7 So originally, "sukashi" meant whiffing due to insufficient reach (overlapping with the term 空振り "karaburi", "whiff/whiffing"), but at some point the meaning was changed to refer to "empty" in the sense of "empty jump(-ins)". The rest of the article describes the idea/merits of empty jump-ins, but this is what "sukashi" means. "tame bunwari" is an incorrect reading, it should be "tame bunkatsu"; the meaning is otherwise correct. 下段 (gedan) and 中段 (chuudan) also mean "low" and "high" in the sense of how they must be guarded. of course, this usually overlaps with the attack height, but not always, so i thought i'd point that out. although 移動 means "move", in a broad sense, the definition given there is totally wrong. I think whoever wrote the article misread the word 稼働 "kadou", which means "operation". (So when a new game is installed in a machine and ready for use, there might be a sign in the arcade saying 稼働中, meaning "in operation".) again, although 開始 does mean "to begin" (actually it's a noun just by itself, so "activation"), the definition is totally wrong and he was probably referring to 稼働開始 lol. 割り込む (warikomu) just means to interrupt any attack string, whether you use safe or unsafe attacks to do it. It definitely overlaps with "abare", as some Japanese definitions of "abare" will use "warikomu" to describe what occurs during "abare", but "abare" has the additional connotation of "riskiness" associated to it, whereas "warikomu" is simply describing the action. the entry on v-13's swords is a refer to SHMUPs as "shooters", hence シューティング ("shooting", in Japanese) . the katakana is incorrect, there. there is no such word as 酸かる ("whiff", 3rd-last entry). The Japanese word for whiffing is either karaburi, or just "suka"/"sukashi", written スカ・スカシ. Based on that, feel free to use my corrections and incorporate the terminology described in the Versus City article.

glad to help. by the way, both of Hakumen's forward and back dash can be jump-cancelled, and just for clarity / in case you're wondering, this isn't something new to CS2.

yeah i was looking at the frame data after Klein posted that and realized that it just barely links. never thought of that before. incidentally, Klein: the frame data is "unofficially" available on the website: just go to the current Hakumen frame data page, then edit the URL of the folder to "cs2". You can then see the various P1 and P2 values (if that's what you were primarily asking about) in the tables. -------------------------------- on an unrelated note, i was just watching the latest casuals from A-cho, and it reminded of something i wanted to mention (in case it wasn't already mentioned/known): on a few characters, if you hit them with a 6D, you can just do a regular jump forward and combo into a falling j.2C; however, some characters' hitboxes (when they're lying down) are too far away for a j.2C to connect, and superjumping into a falling j.2C may take too much time, so you have to do a jump-cancelled dash into a falling j.2C: 6D -> 66 JC -> falling j.2C and then it'll combo. for a clear demonstration, watch Kakyuu's Hakumen against Yumekami's Platinum: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kMGRby5QbKs at 17:55 and 18:04.

no disadvantage, but you don't really have much advantage, either. don't use j.D anymore, learn to counter with 5D and 6D.

wow, talk about timing. so i've been playing through ME2 again, and came across/was reminded of one of my favourite lines in the game, when you talk with the Krogan Mechanic on Tuchanka: Shephard: I've never seen a krogan mechanic before. Mechanic: What, you think we kidnap quarians and make them do the "hard work"? ... Not anymore, we don't.

lolol, ouch. maybe it's surprising to hear, but around where i live, things really haven't changed a whole lot. i mentioned before that my graduation ceremony, as well as my entrance ceremony, got cancelled, but a few days ago, TEPCO announced that they weren't planning any more scheduled blackouts, so school is back on schedule. most of the trains around here are almost back to normal (in terms of capacity and frequency), too. oh right, so classes started here on Monday (April is the beginning of the school year), but there are only 3 classes this term that PhD students can register for credit, and none of them are related to my interests/research, so i'm not gonna take any classes but i'll do seminars with my "kouhai" (from my supervisor's group of students) instead. one of the other geometry professors and i have been doing a Java-based "geometry visualization" seminar for the past year or so, and we're thinking of continuing that. my supervisor also wants me to turn my master's thesis into a research paper by applying the ideas to some different case studies, so that's basically how things are on my end, in terms of school. study hard, and good luck on your exams Peter! where are you at with school, by the way?

are you serious, did he actually say that? because that would be hilarious XD so what's up guys, what's everyone doing these days? you guys were posting like mad about MvC3 not too long ago, and then things seem to have quietened down over there. how are school/work schedules? gabe, did you end up figuring out how to implement that component of the equation? i'm just curious to hear how that turned out.

Tougeki is in Tokyo, but i guess you meant the qualifier tournament, right? by the way, wouldn't it be easier to take a flight to Sapporo, in north Japan, and find arcades there? or is it faster/cheaper to go to China?

i'd rather just get the shirt, it's really hard to find ASW/GG t-shirts. the closest thing i have is my SBO t-shirt from 2 years ago.

from 5C, if you want to wallbounce with Guren, you have to first pick them up off their feet, but this can only be done by using Renka or Zantetsu. normal hit 3C is a dead-end, in terms of combos; the 3C has to be a CH for you to link to something else.

one of the white Hakumen players is Kakyuu (his name is written in kanji as 火九); the other white Hakumen is "mill".

there's nothing in her notes that says they're dash-cancellable. it should be 623C.

just btw, nothing cancels into 3C, and 3C cancels into nothing. did you mean to write 2B?
