  1. can you give an original link for Cursed Dance? i don't think i've heard of that one. I also resized it to 320x240 (cuz that's iPod resolution, right?) -- hope you don't mind, DandyStepper.
  2. easy does it, no need to get grumpy. i don't get it because i don't understand why you didn't go for option 3). Why not split it into two parts: part 1, where SH_ plays as Baiken; part 2, where SH_ plays as Eddie? That's all I'm saying. Yeah, I know, it's just the first tiny little bit, so I wasn't making a big complaint, but I didn't understand why option 3 wasn't chosen.

  4. It's a hit property that only exists for Sidewinder, Grand Viper, and Fafnir. The quantitative properties (i.e. CL SW damage formula, and CL untechable time) are listed in the frame data: http://www.dustloop.com/data/ac/select.html => Sol (check the "Comments" column under SW, GV and Fafnir, and also the footnote to the damage column for SW)

  6. hm i think you made a mistake in your second combo, hs doesn't gatling to 2d. if you're close enough to your opponent when you hit them initially, it's possible to combo to tatami and then (usually) sj.psd. i.e. run in -> 2k,s,2d xx tatami -> sj.psd works. however, if you're not that close, it's very likely that you'll need to FRC your tatami to follow-up. and this is especially true if you use a move like 5H before your tatami -- 5H does more pushback than 2D does, so unless you're only doing 5H xx tatami as your ground combo, you will HAVE to FRC to follow-up (i.e. if you do 2K-c.S-5H xx tatami, you'll have to FRC). btw, there isn't much reason to end your air combo with Youzansen (j.623S) unless your opponent is about to die and you don't have tension to do j.S-D FRC ad.j.S-D. as for the best combo at midscreen with 25% tension, it depends on what you're starting out with. ground string xx tatami? CH tatami? CH Baku? Sakura FRC? CH Youshijin? Kabari -> Tetsuzansen?

I managed to find the entry in the ggxx.jugem.jp archives, and it says: 「風にお願い (Briefly Trance Version)」 # DJMAXの曲の改変版だそうな So the song name is "Kaze ni Onegai (Briefly Trance Version)", and I think the little comment is saying that it's a remix of a DJ MAX song. (DJ MAX is a rhythm game for PSP I think.)
  8. well, i think by definition, a link is when one move combos to another but the first move fully recovered. (so compared to a gatling/special cancel, the first move didn't cancel to the second move.) so, to combo them, you let the first one recover, then do the second one fast enough that you get the BEAT counter going. The timing depends on which ones you're talking about. But just so you know, some of them actually ARE gatlings. if you look in the player's guide on this site (check the link in the announcements section at the top of the Foundation board) and read some of the comments in Slayer's movelists, you'll see that it says that some moves have gatling windows at specified times. in any case, it'll take some practice before you get the timing down consistently for his gatlings and links.
  9. you're having a browser issue. if you use IE, you can just left-click on the link and you should get a download prompt. if you don't use IE, that may still work, but if not, either try right-clicking, or copy-pasting the URL in the address bar.

"godou hands" sounds like a japanese translation of "godot" haha. aaron what the fuck are you doing in the background, seriously. i don't wanna hear you babbling about "DIS ANUS" while i'm watching GG :8/: actually what game were the rest of you guys playing in the background? sometimes i thought i heard other GG characters, sometimes there was this lady's voice saying stuff.

  19. iirc this was brought up in the frame data thread (and i don't know why you didn't just post in there, btw >:o ). start-up # = frame # that the move becomes active. active # = frame interval for which the move is active. recovery # = frame interval for which the move recovers. so, if that's correct, then maybe that clears things up for you? and yeah, it's kind of a silly convention, but i heard it had something to do with writing frame data the way they used to do for older games, or something. (i'm sure POscrub knows better.)

The combos were pretty cool, but I don't really know Jam combos very well so what do I know :v
  23. the link for the "core install", below the link to the VLC player homepage, is incorrect. you've got "..." in the middle of the URL anyways, now that i've watched the vid, i've gotta say GREAT JOB once again! the only "bad" things that come to mind (and they're not really that bad) are: (i) the romaji text during the second-last song was a bit weird -- maybe try to use clashes/offsets as filler material instead? (ii) in the last song, you rolled the combo makers credits all of a sudden -- it seemed a bit random, maybe save it for later? personal call, though. (iii) i have no idea why i'm listed in the credits but thanks lol. love how most of the baiken combos were dust combos lolol. sure says something about her in AC, eh.
