^^That may be true, but I'm kinda tired of the protagonists losing all of the time and would actually prefer if they got some bit of leeway on the bad guys. A good conflict is a back and forth battle.

Looking back, Bloodscythe does have a slow ass animation, but I think unless you spam it to hell and back your opponent won't catch you too often.

It would seem Bloodscythe is a very divisive move. From what I've been reading, it's either regarded as a shitty move for Ragna given all of his nerfs, or something decent despite them. ...I....I'm gonna wait and see.
