  1. Noticed this combo from the video is not in the list: 5BD (CH) > 214214D , sj.236D (50%@3363) I use it a lot, it's very practical and swag as hell. (Edited due to me not realizing you don't need to OMC it, oops)
  2. Was messing around, this combo seems somewhat practical: AA 5C > 236B > 236B > 236D > OMB > dash 5C > 236B > 236B > 214C/D > 236236D (50%/Burst@5423) AA 5C > 236B > 236B > 236D > OMB > dash 5C > 236B > 236B > 236C (0%/Burst@4298) Technically possible off an AA 2B > 5C, but the spacing has to be too perfect.
  3. Wow, what a dipshit. It's hard to believe he has any influence in the community at all.
  4. Are you sure about this? I'm fairly certain that jD and j6D are the exact same move. Put them side-by-side in training mode and you'll notice there's no difference in height or distance.
  5. Don't know about frame data, but it's fast enough that you can do 5Cxx44 > 236A and punish them if they're mashing A. That's probably the most practical way to catch them in a fatal counter.
  6. Anonymous spreadsheet that has Shadow Labrys 5/5 with Yukiko, Kanji 7/3 against Chie. Yeah, seems legit.
  7. Just do the combo normally: jBB > 236AB > 236B > etc. If you do the AB Rampage at the right time, it will get cancelled, and you can go straight into Skull Cracker. Interestingly, this does not work with mjBB because the recovery frames from the minijump overlap with the startup on the AB Rampage, which causes Power Charge to come out instead for some reason.
  8. I view the matchup as a battle to either: a.) Break her persona and win. b.) Get into awakening and meteor, and win. I don't have enough experience to give real advice beyond that, but from what I've seen, breaking the persona should be the focus. 5C and j.2D seem to beat out Thanatos a lot, since Thanatos has very few active frames.
  9. Ending with D Dragon Kick has other problems though, like letting the opponent tech towards and putting you in the corner with almost no frame advantage.
  10. Don't know if it's been mentioned before, but the 5B > 2B starter is interchangeable with mj.B(B). This means you can do stuff like: mj.B(B) > 236A > 236A > 236236A > S66 5C > 236B > 236B > 236D or in the corner: mj.B(B) > 236A > 236A , 5C , 5B , 236B > 236B , 5C > 5AB I figured out that it's difficult to hitconfirm and that's probably why you see top Chie players use 236AB at the beginning instead, because that makes the Rampage safe.
  11. True, though honestly I think the main reason you never see anyone use that particular combo is because you can get so much more damage by just going all the way with it. Anything with a link after the 2nd Rampage won't work.
  12. I do it off of 2A all the time, it's even written that way in the combo thread: 2A > 5B > 5C > 236A > 236A > 5B > 5C > 236B > 236B > 5B > 5C > 214C > 236236D jB also works in place of 2A.
  13. To be clear, I think you mean triple Rampage combos. The A-Rampage into B-Rampage combos work off of pretty much anything. Triple Rampage I think requires a 5B (or 5C?) starter. Also oh yeah, autocombo isn't bad at all. The biggest reason to autocombo is because burst is so incredible for Chie...blue burst makes it easy to push them into the corner, and gold burst can be comboed into for moar meteors. It's pretty rare that I land a raw 5A, but if I do I often autocombo into EX Dragon Kick. It leaves you with much better recovery than the C kick, though sometimes I'll use the C kick if I need meter.
  14. Just tried it, it appears to be jBB > 236AB > 236B > 5C > 236B > 236B > 5C > 5AB. 25% meter. You have to do the 236AB before she hits the ground. Not sure how practical this is, since you can get ~4400 damage off of 50% meter from that jB, but it's pretty swag.
  15. In my very limited experience, I think Liz and Akihiko are pretty good matchups. Mitsuru seems to be a difficult matchup. But the game's matchups are pretty balanced due to all the characters having a lot of the same tools; I don't think you're ever going to see any 7/3's in this game no matter what they do to it.
  16. SBO vids posted yet? If not: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A5-GVCZJ6uI http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rh1nPedOL3Y
  17. In training mode, is there any way to get the CPU to do one specific move repeatedly? It's very tiring (not to mention inaccurate) to record myself mashing repeatedly.
  18. I tried using a few different layouts, but I ended up going with the default because that's where the 2-button inputs feel the most natural to me. In some layouts I had throw or air turn as diagonals, and it was bleh.
  19. Are you using the A+C a lot? It's really good against Aigis; if she spaces wrong, you can punish her spread pattern and her gatling gun. When she goes orgia though, I honestly have no idea wtf is going on, so I just block shit and hope not to get set on fire. I can't get through the missiles at all.
  20. I guess the ones who've been annoying me the most have been Yu and Mitsuru, so you're right, I should learn to bait the DP more and stop being so mashy.
  21. So right now vs netplay scrubs, there's basically no such thing as oki because they mash recovery at all times. I understand the risks involved and why this is a Bad Idea; most of the time I just kind of continue my pressure, but I guess, being new to this genre I don't really understand the vulnerable frames of the instant recovery. What is the best way for me to blow this up?
  22. One trick you can do is to use 2C instead of 5C. The combo is functionally exactly the same, however, adding the input gives you a natural delay and it lets you roll easily into the 236B (which needs to be delayed as well). This improved my success rate a lot, but mileage may vary. Basically the way I end up doing it is: 5B > 2(pause) > C > (pause) > 36B
  23. Sorry for asking stupid questions, but when you say to delay 5B > 5C, do you mean the 5C needs to be delayed and not chained? I'm getting it sometimes now, but I honestly can't tell which part I'm too early on.
  24. For all of her corner combos where you do 236A > 236A > 5B > 5C > 236B > 236B, I'm getting a tiny recoverable gap between the first and second 236B. Done it ~300 times, even watched the video, the gap is always there. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
  25. Thanks a ton. Was having trouble figuring out some of the combos in this video. Back to the lab!
