Welcome Beatroll. It gets pretty weird here every now and then (all of the time) but don't worry. We only do it for fun and we're full of good intentions (probably). I'm not sure where you live or anything but if you feel like hanging out, playing games, eating good food (Venezia's pizza), or other things, Ruben (Chumaralupa) hosts at his place frequently on Fridays/Saturdays. Just ask and he'll give you some information so you can come meet everyone. I'm the last new guy and I chose to stay, so I hope you choose to as well. And I'm just curious, so excuse me if the post gets lengthy. You mentioned that you came here because of games. Which do you play? Guilty? Blazblue? PERSONA!?!? Anything and everything ends up at Rubens at some time or another, even Melty Blood. So whatever you spend your time on, we can accommodate. My name is Ryan by the way. I'm not planning on trashing cards. I just probably wont be using the majority of them for a while. ~ I've been messing with my two main decks and think they're actually getting pretty decent. It's not like they're what you guys would call good, but I can see it coming together. All I really want now is a few extra copies of certain cards and I think I'll be content with them. ~ And I probably wont be spending too much money on this. If I do, it'll be only once in a while. For my birthday my brother bought me one of those 36 pack boxes for return to ravnika, which we split. It was fun opening so many packs but I will say that I'm a little disappointed with most of the cards. Got some good stuff mixed in, of course. But I probably will only ever use 20 or so of the cards realistically. And I think I have a good grip on how my current decks work right now, and they could actually be pretty usable if I got my hands on just a few more copies of certain cards. I never thought I'd get into another card game but oh well. So long as I don't plan to spend much, I don't see a problem with it. Also, I spent most of the day playing with Bryce, where we just took turns using my various shitty decks. He likes the game wayyyyy more than I thought he would, to the point where he's going to buy cards. Maybe it'll give him something to do if he comes over to Ruben's once in a while. There's a few small things that I need cleared up as well, so I think we'd both benefit from it.

I have several black cards that I could see working very well with a white token deck. The main problem is just that I don't have nearly enough of them yet for it to be worth throwing in.

Is it possible to make a deck based around tokens? It's one of the main things that make sense with the cards I currently have.

It's a blessing that my budget is so small, else this Magic thing could become a serious problem.

I agree that the damage is better, but sometimes I have trouble consistently landing the 5B/6B after the OMB (or even after a regular CH air throw in the corner). Doing B-coup has so many active frames that it's nearly impossible to miss. So whichever is easier for any person, is what they should do when either combo would kill. P.S. I miss posting in this forum. Memories and nostalgia...

GGs to everyone at Haz's today. It was fun hanging out with Kevin and Eric for so long, even if I get weird every now and then. Hopefully I get another chance to play Justin, I kinda blew it today. Really glad I could play so many matches with Marvin. Even though I have more experience in the matchup, I learned a ton of stuff and got to practice certain aspects of it that would be nearly impossible online. And... it looks like I'll never be working Saturdays after noon-1pm. So if anyone wants to do anything, Just let me know.

I'll stop by tonight, and someone please begin teaching magic to me. I got a deck builder set earlier today and I'm actually a little bit interested.

I can probably stream some days if you want, but I can't guarantee a consistent schedule on wednesdays or the best-connection/stream-quality (although it should be fine, so long as I'm not the one actually playing). Also, I would still leave the process for deciding who plays entirely in your hands. Just let me know, and I'll get the stream and skype set up. My cable provider is working in my neighborhood right now, so internet shouldn't be a big problem within a few weeks. P.S. Synthesis plays Yukiko and is in AZ (West Coast). P.S.S. Does my FT10 with Omex count? Just wondering if I can still do another one if given the chance.

I can probably/maybe stop by Friday. The FT10 actually happened yesterday because of a bunch of random things that interfered. It was too laggy to finish the whole set, but I was up like 9-2 when we stopped. It was honestly so bad that we both agreed it shouldn't count. It was certainly fun though. Marvin told me on FB that he'll be at Haz's on Saturday, which probably means we can expect several people to play persona with (if anyone shows up). I'll see if Kevin still wants to go, and if he does then I'll be there. As a side note (that doesn't matter), I ended up getting master rank because of ranked matches after my FT10. I wouldn't have even gotten on then if we did the whole thing, so I guess it wasn't really a bad thing.

Ahhhh, that could work. I'm just unsure of my connection quality just playing sometimes, so I'm afraid to throw streaming in there too. Could Thursday evening work? EDIT: nevermind. I'm working thursday evening. I guess I'd be willing to go after TSK on Wednesday, but in that case I would need to test the connection with Omex first.

That Yukiko was really good. I remember getting the impression that the Liz in winners was pretty good, but not the one in losers. Honestly, some of the people there seemed unimpressive, like the mitsuru in top 8 losers.

I'm guessing Eric won? Don't stop putting in that p4a work. I need a strong teammate to carry me through teams at evo.

Marvin made top 16 in p4a at UFGT and also in sfxt. Both are in losers, but in p4a it's just because bananaken was in his pool. If I'm home during the stream tomorrow, I'll post it up here. And unfortunately his pool wasn't streamed. Starting to feel better with the help of my new best friend, Vikatan.

Is Saturday evening an option next week? I feel like that's when I'm most likely not to be working.
