Until lately I haven't seen many Azraels attempt the double weakpoint application combos. In the videos Zeth posted in the video thread Pet manages to do stuff like this several times. Would anyone around the west coast like to get online later tonight? I mostly want to get some more MU experience with my narukami, but if anyone needs some experience with Mitsuru or Kanji I can help with that as well.

The corner loop itself didn't drop. You can see that the second hit (zantetsu) is what shouldn't have connected.

I think CH 6B/3C > 5C is one of the greatest buffs he received in CP.

Friday I'll be free for the entire afternoon/evening. Is there any chance we can do some stuff then? It's been months since the last time I had a set with Ruben and I want some good offline practice. Decided to take this game seriously again and I'll only get more obsessive in the coming months. Besides, if p4a comes back to haz's again (you know, maybe) then I want us all to get really good. Ruben, I hope this doesn't sound weird or anything but if you don't mind every now and then, could I come hang out in the afternoons occasionally to play some games? It's probably the only way that I'll ever even try melty. I need to look into this, for.... obvious reasons.

I can certainly handle the arc-revo videos within the next week. Just ignore those when searching for videos beause I'll get that covered eventually. Feel free to ask whenever you need help with the video thread. Sometimes I get bored enough to spend a few hours gathering/compiling videos and it would be a shame if we had trouble finding relavent videos for specific players and whatnot.

I can't mention much because I've only started playing Yu seriously recently, but I think I can still help with some things. -First I wouldn't suggest bursting against Yukiko unless it'll save you the round/match. She just doesn't do enough damage to make it worth it, especially when you can OMB for an easy 4.5K+ off most confirms. -Yukiko can DP j.B(2) safejumps. If you can hit low enough for j.B(1) then it still works, but I think using j.A is the easiest way to go. The same goes for Naoto. -If you're having trouble getting out of the corner but you find opportunities to jump, you can superjump raging lion. It's punishable, but rarely if you get over the opponent. I wouldn't abuse this though and it's not like it's a secret or anything. Worst case scenario Yukiko will be able to "punish" you for a small combo (maybe 1.5, seriously she's weak). At least you are't in the corner at that point. -If she goes for fire unblockables on wakeup I usually prefer to just not tech and take the yellow beat. Getting reset this way sucks. I'm not sure all of that applied to that particular set as it does for the matchup in general. YOLO cross slash is the best! And good punishing her super with it as well. Unfortunate instant kill. Yukiko's probably the only character where that can happen somewhat frequently. It's like a 100 meter unsafe asura. ~~ EDIT: I never realized you were from Chicago. I used to live there and miss the food tremendously. But not all is bad here in AZ, for we finally have our own Portillo's!

I saw several hakemens do that when the game was fairly new but they stopped soon after. Once the midscreen loop was found, everyone just started using that in the corner instead. It's a shame because I would like to argue that the corner loop would do extra damage but unfortunately I cant without ever playing the game myself. My fingers are crossed that some more optimal, better looking combos are found. I was excited to play Haku again in CP, but he looks boring now that he has 1 bnb off any starter. Then again, renka (1) > Kishuu in EX is what you would do pretty much 100% of the time, but at least you could follow several different paths and do a corner only combo, all of which were fun and cool to me.

Eh I thought Angel Beats was ok. The ending was pretty emotional though, which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

I remember hearing a while back from Justin that you had gone to Japan before. That sounds pretty cool as a vacation. Do you go just for fun or is there some business involved? The story for BBCP shouldn't be rushed (well... hopefully). The October release date is almost an entire year after that of a fully functional version of the game. So part of me feels that the story is what is most likely holding that up. I remember hearing at some point that they planned on making a 4th game to wrap up the story, anticipating that there would be too many loose ends to wrap up with BBCP. I can't back that up though because it was a long time ago.

I could see people beginning to block high after a blocked 3C, if that mixup becomes more prevalent. At that point I guess we would start going low. I wonder how much that would get, since we should be able to sentinel dump that crouching confirm.

Ya, it's unlikely that p4a will have a balancing patch without it being part of some DLC or a new game all together (which is even less likely). I'll actually start practicing Mitsuru legitimately again soon. It's not doing me much good to work on my 5 subs at this point. I'd like to have a chance of making it out of pools (slim, but I can dream, right?).

The money wont be a problem. What time do you think you'll be driving back to AZ? Not that I'll ever argue with 'the ride giver' but I'm not sure how I feel about driving late in the night/morning long distances.
