Saturdays are guaranteed not to work for me for the next month. Melty looks like fun, just bare with me sucking for a bit. If you can help me get into it, then I'll have no problem downloading the game and practicing enough to play with you guys. Friday's should be clear for me (probably). I've heard literally nothing about injustice. I only found out that it wasn't an MMO today. I'm willing to mess around with it if someone can bring a copy sometime. Same goes for Tekken I guess.

I played Narukami but that had nothing to do with it. Directional inputs on my stick just don't work half the time anymore. I'd go to set up oki, which in most cases should basically win me the round, and it would be impossible to do the little movements needed to make anything work. It was horrible, looked like I've never used a fight stick before. However, using this new stick (thanks for letting me borrow your converter Luke) feels perfect. You know, where I felt that any problem I had was my own mistake. EDIT: Luke got first. Chie maybe gave him a hand, but he did work with Liz as well. EDIT 2: Ruben, mind if I come hang out in the afternoons once in a while? I'll be taking classes to get my real estate licence and it'll make it very difficult to stop by sometimes when you're hosting for a month or two. Besides, I want you to practice persona more. EDIT 3: I'll even try melty out if you'd like.

Definitely a fun day. I was mega frustrated with my stick acting up in the tournament, but now that I have a new one I'm excited! Good job Luke and Eric. Thanks for giving us a good grand finals. I really have to say that Luke was super on point today, with both Chie and Liz. I used to feel like so long as Haz was willing to keep a few of the non Capcom games around then persona would have no chance of being taken out. But after today my feelings are completely reversed. Only six of us showed up just for persona and if a couple MK guys didn't offer to save out tournament, we wouldn't have had one at all. Seeing Mk and Tekkin so lively in contrast to persona doesn't make me feel too confident for next season. In the end its up to Haz, I guess. Also, there's this. Do you even watch majors? Personally, I would slap Teddie higher up there though. And yes I understand that we aren't Japan or anything, but that doesn't mean we should completely ignore our own tournament results. Then again, while I think Shikki is great, that Chie was exceptionally poor at blocking.

I would go if I was (1) 18 and (2) there was persona for sure. But to be honest, Ruben's sounds like more fun anyway. Glad it wont be Friday because I would be too busy getting a root-canal.

Be sure to let Zeromus help out a bunch. He's put in a ton of time into this character and knows a lot of the matchups (mitsuru) really well. Also, I've been throwing around the idea of picking her up as one of my subs and I'm just curious if she has any links. It would be a major plus for me if she did because fun, optimal combos are what I live for. It seems I need to keep playing new characters if I want to have fun with this outside of casuals. Not that I am trying to be arrogant or anything, but I feel like I can do pretty much 100% of the stuff available for the main characters I play already and I would appreciate being able to get creative with the game again. Basically, from watching a lot of Naotos, I think she looks like she'd be fun.

I don't care too much about the availability of soda or the atmosphere so much, given that I prefer to just take my food home with me if possible. Pepsi products are a major plus, but since I like diet and aspartame tastes like aspartame, I'll always have something to drink. Bellagio Buffet, Gino's East Pizza, Portillos Venezia's, Jimmy + Joe's, Any good buffet Tott's, Most fast food places since I don't give half a shit about what I consume, Costco's berry smoothies, Chicken nuggets anywhere and everywhere .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. Any deli .. .. .. .. .. Jack in the box (get some fucking ketchup dispensers, you cheap motherfuckers)

Curious if we're playing games after or just sending everybody home. Either way, I mostly just want some good food. Also, be prepared for a long wait. This place is kind of a big deal where I come from and there's plenty of other people from the midwest out here.
