Were you serious? I assumed you were handy with computers, considering all of the monitors you had handy. I want to make sure I'm not misinterpreting anything. I'm just at a loss right now. I've done everything that I am comfortable doing myself. Just tried my rig out using my brother's PSU and I still can't get it to do anything. You guys trying to help over dustloop is appreciated, but I'm at the point where I think someone needs to help me out in person.

Waiting for deals on parts is great, but if you need to build a computer and aren't just upgrading, it can be a very VERY bad idea. You wont even be able to check if anything works unless you have most of parts. Finding out that something defective after the return period can really suck. I suppose it depends on the return policies for the store/website. What can I say? I'm paranoid, impatient, or maybe both.

For that time I remember most of the prices. i7-2600k was $300 the 6870s were $180 each the SSD was about $140 the HDD was probably $80, back when HDDs were dirt cheap my case was $150 (cooler master HAF 932, really easy to work with) PSU was about 100 $40 for 2 disk drives (my dad thought it was important to have 2. I've hardly ever used 1) $50 for ram $30 for the heatsink/fan I bought a fan and mount to cool between the GPUs (I was paranoid) for probably $20-30 not sure if I'm missing anything

First off, I think I'll keep calling you Nom, just for giggles. I hope I didn't give you guys the wrong idea about the computer. It's a desktop that I built about a year and a half ago with a good portion of my summer job's pay. It's my baby, definitely NOT a piece of shit. I was just a little bit frustrated yesterday, some personal stuff happened too. Nothing happens at all when I try to power it on. I've tested the power strip/outlet, the cable, and all of the connections inside the case already. There's a few things that it could be, but I'm about 99% sure that it's the power supply, given what I already know. That being said, I'm not going to head to Frys and get a new one until I'm 100% sure that it's the problem. I have a few other computers around the house that I built for family members, so I have a lot to work with. I suppose I could just try the power supply in one of those computers and if it wont turn on, I'll know that I need a new PSU. Just to be safe I should probably hook up my video cards to it too. I know this doesn't matter too much but since I love talkin about my awesome computer (you know... up until yesterday) here's the specs. i7-2600K (I think it's @3300 at the moment. I've never really felt any need to overclock it) 8Gb DDR3 1600 RAM two AMD Radeon 6870s 64Gb SSD (just so it boots in like 5 seconds) 1TB hard drive (for everything that isn't needed for booting) I think that's everything that matters. I don't think anyone cares about the monitor or anything else like that. I suppose if anyone's curious, the PSU is an Antec 750W 80 plus Bronze. It's surprising that it could be having a problem now but, given that I have a problem at all, it's the most likely issue. I'll let you guys know how this whole thing goes. I'm preying that I don't need a new motherboard. That would be an enormous pain in the ass.

Ray, you didn't miss much. It was fun and I enjoyed playing casuals with Eric, Nom (hope that's spelled correctly), and John. But the turnout was pretty small. Gabe got 1st (arrrrrggghh!!!!!!), I got 2nd, and someone playing Akihoko and Teddy fraudulently stole 3rd from Eric. GGs to all. My computer wont turn on or even make it to the BIOS... It sucks. Don't expect me to be on here much, unless my bro is kind enough to let me use his computer for a couple days/weeks. It's so frustrating! The damn thing was working when I left for UAT. $1800 piece of shit.

God dammit. I'm so salty right now. Why does Kanji have to suck so god-damn much? If I hear anyone say he needs a nerf again, I'll start murdering local pets. Well... Maybe not. EDIT: I'll start by flushing a goldfish and work my way up from there. EDIT2: I'm not actually sure if goldfish die when you flush them. What if they just live out their days in the sewers. What if there is a species of goldfish that thrive down there? Maybe I should just crush an ant instead.

I feel like casuals and tournaments have ruined fighting games for me. It's not fun to go online and beat up random people anymore. If it's easy, it's boring. That should be obvious, I suppose. Besides ranked matches and playing with friends, it's not worth getting online anymore. For a kid without a car, that's sad. I guess it's time to play some call of duty or, god forbid, Marvel.
