What are those cards good for, Collecting? And well... ya, Relius couldn't have really gotten worse. He's still a badass, though. My buddy and I were talking about how cool he was and we could only find one problem with that. It's the fact that he fathered Carl. Fuck Carl.

All the characters I had an interest in, except Relius. I mainly stuck with Haku and Tager at the end of of Extend. I pretty much sucked at the game, so I'm down to play anyone at this point. I originally mained Bang, but I moved away from him because of Tager mostly. I'd be willing to give him another shot, I suppose.

Not sure who I'll play yet, but I'll definitely try out some Haku, Tager, Relius, and Izayoi. Fuck Carl.

Ya, I tried not to comment on characters that it seemed people were playing for the first time. I did notice that Hakumen always had lots of meter, but I wasn't sure if it was because people weren't effectively using it. Hopefully they get some combo videos and better matches uploaded soon. And themes of course, I want some new music to get me pumped. All I listen to now is from Disgaea, megaman, various animes, and some stuff that is awesome but would make me sound gay.

Has anyone else been watching all the day one footage of CP? My characters seemed to get nerfed, HARD. I'm really trying not to base first impressions off who won certain matches, but still... I can tell that this is a whole different game. Understandably, I can be entirely wrong about what I'm seeing. Hazama looks top tier to say the least. It seems that most characters' average damage was lowered, but his seems to be pretty much the same. Relius looks better, but it's too early to see how someone like him really is. He certainly has improvements though, between damage and a faster 6A. Platinum looks "better"... Her corner damage is buffed a little, but I barely understand this character so... oh well I could barely find footage of a Tager that didn't just get his ass kicked. Overall his damage seemed horrible reduced, but people might not have figured out his magnetism yet. I hope he get's better with time. Hakumen seems decent but nerfed, very much so. I found tons of footage of really good players with him but his damage and combo ability seems pretty crappy now. He always needs at least 2-3 orbs for anything, even less than 2k damage. The best I saw was about 4500 with a good starter and nearly all of his magatama. I think he's another character that people will find new stuff with over time. I didn't find much footage of new characters that wasn't with people that obviously weren't trying to figure them out. Bullet seems decent, though. Sometimes she pulls off some crazy damage, but I don't know anything about her mechanics. Just some thoughts for now. I'm pretty hyped for this game.

In MH you go on quests to various locations, usually with intent of killing a monster like a dragon, wyvern, giant super saiyan monkey, ect. Upon victory, which can very well take 50 minutes, you get to carve it for a chance of getting rare items necessary for creating better armor, weapons, and various equipment. There's no "leveling up". Typically, your equipment and available options for traps improve throughout the game, allowing you take on harder tasks. It's fun, but I can see why some people might not like it. I doubt I'll ever import the new versions because of the language barrier. It's not a fighting game after all. I doubt I would even be able to tell what my quests were. On second thought, I might consider it if they have other options for languages. I would need to see a video or something first. One more thing... My friend got +R off japanese PSN and I have no clue how. I should talk to him about it. I figure, if I'll learn guilty gear at all, it should be a relevant one.

I doubt I'll do any shopping at all, unless I can get a good deal on a monitor.

I'd be down for games Friday (most likely). I know they were working on new monster hunters for both the ps3 and vita but unfortunately, we'll never play them because Sony wants all of their US games to have trophy support. What a stupid reason to deprive me of one of my favorite franchises... I mean, all they would have to do is translate the damn thing.

I'm probably a bigger monster hunter fan than anyone else on this thread, but I will NEVER buy a Nintendo console just for that. Besides, the 3DS gives me a massive headache. I'm not saying you're dumb if you have a 3DS, I'm just saying that if you have a 3DS you're probably a few plums short of a fruit pie (Thanksgiving coming up). Are there any vita games I should be aware of? I want to get Wipeout and a few others once they get to be like 20 bucks, but I'm not sure at the moment.

From looking through the loketest info on the arakune forum, it looks like the meter drains normally AND he loses some for every bug he uses. Different bugs drain more or less between 10 - 30-ish percent. I welcome any nerf that makes this matchup easier.

The next time we get together somewhere, can we pop in some BlazBlue for a while? I've been having tons of fun lately, sucking with Hakumen. It would be nice to suck offline as well. Kanji's challenge 30 was a real bitch. Even after playing him for months, it still took me over 30 minutes. Getting that fully charged 2C is harder than you would think. Later I made my own combo that's much easier (for me at least) but still needs that 2C starter.

I finally had the time to work with my computer and the new motherboard. Everything works fine as far as I can tell. It sucks that I had to do a fresh install of windows on my SSD but I decided to format my HDD as well. All it had was like 800GBs of random footage from my hauppauge and Fraps. Has anyone heard anything about the announcer voices yet? I'm curious how it will sound this time around and also what options we'll have to change it. I would love some male announcers. I would have happily laid down $20 for a voice like Tager's (or maybe bang or ragna).
