  1. Presents, enjoy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oqCpOFT_p2Y&list=UU5b8J30pPnY1fYrTVuSHJqA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1aU09zM9ecg&list=UU5b8J30pPnY1fYrTVuSHJqA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dA8pwL1Sq_4&list=UU5b8J30pPnY1fYrTVuSHJqA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ri9loBx-sIE&list=UU5b8J30pPnY1fYrTVuSHJqA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=evMxFEKpPzo&list=UU5b8J30pPnY1fYrTVuSHJqA
  2. Sol only needs 50% to get guaranteed IK on opponents in Hellfire state. Video coming soon.
  3. Air VV 1 hit RC gives free BB, maybe Fafnir as well, need to test more. Hoping for some oldschool TK VV RC shenanigans.
  4. Nope, no RC needed. Timing is weird though, I have yet to get it consistently.
  5. I'm gonna share some IK combos eventually, the ability to just record straight from PS4 is awesome, even if the quality is not that great. It's gonna be so easy to share tech once this game hits.
  6. I think YRC, more than any other move, is what makes Xrd Sol so much stronger. Kudakero is definitely a welcome addition to his repertoire, but even that move is vastly better because of the new RC system. The sheer number of possibilities, the way the slowdown makes his offense so much more difficult to get out of, all of that adds up to making him way stronger.
  7. For me at least, I last played Sol seriously in Slash. AC was when I transitioned to HOS, and ACR I very briefly dabbled in Sol. Overall, I think Xrd Sol is probably one of the best versions of the character. AC and ACR versions are too focused on combo potential to the detriment of the actual ability of the character to compete. With the new RC system, Sol benefits tremendously. The ability to deal fantastic damage from any hit, combined with the oppressive lockdown capabilities and simple-yet-effective mixup makes him a force to be reckoned with.
  8. GV maxes out at 9 hits now. For me, I seemed to have more luck on the second rep if I didn't dash jump. Not sure why.
  9. That new combo video shows 2D RC combos that come really close. I think the difficulty of landing BE midscreen is what's holding back damage right now. We'll see.
  10. The 5C hitbox change probably also means 5B-5C will catch jump/backdash again. Shades of Extend. Prepare for the "too much damage" complaints.
  11. Practicing on the demo certainly illuminates why the 1 rep DL -> Fafnir route is so popular. Dustloops are hard in this game.
  12. I mean that there's stuff I normally do, which might have been safer/better than what I was doing, but I was too focused/nervous to use it. Things like using lvl1 BHB AC FRC pressure to keep my Charge high, for example. But yeah, people are really not used to that character. Most players around here don't 6P my jump pressure very often because they tend to get CH for trying. Using HOS 6P as a traditional 6P doesn't work, it just doesn't have the same properties (BTW you should SV Riot Stamps). Lvl 3 RI and BHB require some special care, but are very useful. Just gotta fit them into your gameplan.
  13. Thanks guys. The 6P versus BZB was a total fluke, I made some kind of input error that happened to work out in my favor. 6P upper body invul FTW. The match vs Iceman was the worst one of the whole tournament. I have zero Eddie experience and even though I had beat him in the first match of the tournament, I was under a lot more pressure to perform when we fought again. Everyone else I played against happened to be from NC, which was extremely lucky for me as I was used to most of their playstyles (with the exception of AJ/Jin, who I don't get to play on any sort of regular basis). Overall it was an exhilarating experience, but looking back at my matches, I'm not satisfied. There are things I literally just forgot I had access to while I was playing.
  14. http://www.twitch.tv/teamsp00ky/b/577418234 Here's the archived video for anyone who missed it live. Top 8 TFC GG.
  15. I'm really feelin' like this is shades of CS1 now. I can only imagine what kind of optimized damage we'll be getting, given how much we're getting on day 1.
  16. Does anyone remember what typical damage off of raw Gauntlet Hades was in CP 1.0 and 1.1? Because these recent vids in 2.0 are showing easy 3.5k plus off of GH for no meter, from pretty much anywhere.
  17. That's the other big thing I'm looking forward to, getting to see the game in person in glorious 1080p.
  18. Versus is probably not included because, again, people in Japan can just go to the arcade if they want to play other people, and ASW probably wants to avoid cutting into arcade profits as much as possible. Plus you can use Versus as a ghetto Training mode by simply hitting Start on a controller and voila, free training dummy. Having Arcade and Tutorial with the two main characters makes sense if you're just trying to get the attention of players who might look over the game otherwise. Use Tutorial to learn the basics, play against a basic computer opponent in Arcade to get a feel for the game, and hey, if you like it, buy the full game in a month. Kinda lame, but hey, better than nothing, I guess.
  19. Yeah depending on options, he may actually get a big chunk of damage. The trailer shows we get at least 3k, betting you can get more.
  20. The demo is probably targeted at PS+ users who may not have considered purchasing the game otherwise. No sense in including a lot of bells and whistles that would attract more competitive players, as the arcade version already has a training mode. But yeah, FG demos are rare these days.
  21. The 6A change affects 6B as well, since now you can do 6B-6A without feeling like you're going all-in on a gamble. The interesting thing about small changes like this is that while it doesn't really change his style, it can have a huge influence on the effectiveness in certain situations. 5B actually gets buffed bigtime by these changes because now Ragna doesn't have to take as much risk to call people out for moving around recklessly in his 5B and dash 5B range. I've been fiending for 6A gatlings to be returned because of this alone, looks like someone at Arc was listening.
  22. ^pretty much how I feel. With Arcade being Beginner difficulty, it's basically a training dummy anyway, so Dustloop training here we come!
