[XBL/PSN] Ft5 Sets Season 1.1 - "To the Next Level"
grove03 replied to yes06kin's topic in P4A Online Play
i'll be down to spectate matches and help other narukami players if they choose to participate. -
you can just hold the buttons for his stance moves. like, 5D~A you can just hold both D and A and to continue combos, you can use just continue holding the next inputs to come out. like for ex: 5D~A FC> 6D~A>2D~A can be done by just 5[DA] FC> 6[DA]>2[DA]>etc and so you that in order to get other combinations easier, you can just double press and hold it since bbcp has that mechanic that allows the buttons to be repeated for 5 additional frames?? (not exactly sure how many additional frames) similar to p4u. edit: and for air stances, you can input the direction and D before pushing both. aka input j.[2/5/6DC] and then input the direction you want him to go to
-
Well i've been using a converter for almost a year now in order to play on most p4u tournaments. It really isnt THAT bad to play on, execution-wise, the only hassle is coming across another opponent using the same converter because most of the time, ppl using 2 of the same converters will cause the ps3 to stop reading all inputs.

ah, ok it was in the pastebin that omex posted, but it says "rumor has it" and it wasn't updated onto the first post, well its not a rumor lol
-
Can't believe no one caught something in the old P4C vids. Apparently narukami's ex air lion causes knockdown as well as oppose to making the opponent airborne. Aka no longer can we do ex air lion right before we land and link 5a off of it, which also makes tk ex lion no longer viable for combos. Also, thanks to IAD j.AC, narukami's OMB combo damage is preserved! (ofc if proration remains the same for each move)
-
I don't see the point in responding to year old messages. And to make my post relevant, this MU is pretty bad for Liz. All narukami has to do is just sweep>5D and keep her in. She doesnt really have any good reversals outside of her awakening super, but even then its still risky to reversal with that. only pain to deal with is maybe her j.b? if you dont know how to approach. Other than that, its just a struggle for poor liz
-
Pretty cool, seeing as some of those don't use 214b, which we won't have the bounce in P4C. However, the first combo with 5C starter from the corner, IIRC, you don't need to do IAD delayed j.AC, you can get the same damage with just dashing etc>omc>214b>dash up 5b>j.c>etc Another thing you should look into is off air throw starter! (would check it out myself but no console near me)
-
Another useful comeback combo you can use against anyone (This combo could probably get more damage w/o extra resources????) Also, this combo is awakening only, doesn't require CH, and uses the IADj.AC that happens to be the new cool thing! And it can be done anywhere along the screen as long as you don't let them reach the corner, works wonders starting from the corner tho 5C>214D>OMB>cross-up CS(you can choose which side you want)>2B>5C>IADj.A>j.C>j.214B>5B>j.C>j.214B>2B>j.C>j.214A>CS (roughly 8.5k/100m) And off 2a starter, I forget the exact combo, but you can reach 5.6k-5.8k for 100m using the similar combos etc>omb>cross-up>CS>IADj.AC>etc EDIT: Actually, off ANY starter, even yolo-slide!, opting for etc>omb>crossup CS>IADj.AC>etc>CS will sky rocket the damage, and you get to choose which side you want to end up on for crossup-CS!
-
Also, there's more anti-naoto things to do against her to make your opponent's life even more miserable! (not sure if most ppl knew this, i know some naoto players don't) Naoto can no longer B+D your full screen C-zio (if you still do it against her) AND take a persona card away from you! If you happen to do full screen C-Zio you can do 1 of 3 options! 1) Use 214C to dodge the shot from full screen 2) Use 214D or 214CD to punish Naoto full screen (D-version will only hit them once), you can add in extra meter or a OMB if you can kill 3) React to Naoto's B+D shot with C-Ziodyne for a free punish ( if you choose to immediately do C-Ziodyne or D-ziodyne, Naoto can delay the shot to trade with your super)(This is also possible from maybe midscreen range? depends on how well you can react to the shot) Now go on to kill more Naotos! (warning: she can still use her bullets to shoot through your C-Zio)

Well I had this for a while, so why not share it already, but i dont remember 100% how much you can get off of it using other normals since school has started. Apparently Narukami has a Chie-specifc-OMB combo. Max damage you can get off 5C starter, doesnt have to be CH : 5C>214D>OMB>5D>214A>5B>5DD>214B>run up 5B>j.C>j.214B>2B>j.C>j.214A>5AA>5C>sj.bb>j.B+D>C-ziodyne (roughly 7.3k, almost 7.4k off CH, 50m) Althought, it's very rare you'll be able to hit Chie with 5C starter, you can use the knowledge that etc>omb>5D>214A>5b>5DD>214B>etc works on chie and can cause full screen carry form corner to corner. I haven't checked other starters such as yolo-slides, j.b, j.a, 5a, 5b/2b, which you'll probably net somewhere between 5k-6k but i have checked up on 2a (which you can use during your oki mixups for a kill!) with 2A starter (don't remember if you can add in a 5b before 5C and dash up 5C, and this can work anywhere on the screen!): 2A>2B>5C>214D>OMB>5D>214A>5B>5DD>214B>dash up 5C>j.bb>j.bb>j.B+D>C-ziodyne you'll roughly get 4.8k(i think, if not theres a way to get 4.8k), pretty good damage off a shitty starter!

.... you guys are mean

Nah, in this vid: http://kurushii.tv/Downloads/P4C/Videos/1stLocationTest/NYOAVwOR-ik.mp4 around the 0:52 second mark, yukari vs narukami, you see yukari is cornered and narukami combos into 5C>2C>214B, even though it was a yellow beat, 214B just knocked them back down And yes Fistmaster, OMB - 5D - sweep - 214A - 5DD - still works, however it will be more optimal in corner as oppose to midscreen. If anything, hopefully me or Vrraiden will figure something out for midscreen OMB damage assuming everything on hit remains intact minus B-lion
-
236C is actually pretty good for OMB combos. if you can catch the opponent in the air with Zio (such as 5C CH>236C>omb>5D) you can get pretty good damage off of it due to its low proration. you could also use it to cancel sweep against some characters to make your pressure safe so that both players can just return to neutral. Which btw, you will need better neutral in p4c since alot of his jump-cancels were taken away on block. Also we'll need to know how long it takes for 236[D] to allow narukami to move, if it's long, pretty sure alot of characters can hit him out of it. you'll probably find use of it off DP CH>236[D]. Also maybe he could get a weak oki off sweep>236[D]?? All this is depending on when narukami can begin moving off charged 236D
-
OK!! Well for some reason my lobby kept attracting EVERYONE!! (which is fine, but i wanted to stop like 2 hours ago) so ggs to everyone who joined my lobby, that was up for about 6 hours!
-
THANKS OMEX!!! <3
-
It seems like this narukami is going to have ALOT more oki options, its just that there's no more brain-dead easy oki anymore. Also, losing 214D>omc>214b to continue a combo is not that bad. In fact, its pretty useless once you get to the corner cause you can just replace 214b with j.c>j.214b to continue damage. And that reminds me, the corner game for this character is looking too strong. Still awaiting to see footage of narukami. There happens to be some already for junpei, liz, aki, and yukiko.
-
heard sweep>5D is gone, will have to resort to other oki methods to make up for this nerf, IF ITS TRUE!! but don't worry, we still have corner oki with 2C>backdash>5D, we can also choose to use meter for mid-screen oki such as: sweep>omc>5D, and we have safejumps pending if none of those were touched.
-
You can still choose to safe jump yosuke, teddie, and kanji. if you choose to bait the reversal, its free damage. You are losing your pressure by opting NOT to safe-jump them. The risk/reward is still in your favor because if they are right, both players usually just go back to playing the neutral game. If they guess wrong, depending on where you are, you get massive damage because those are free 5C CHs, free 2C FCs, or a free knockdown
-
i can probably play tomorrow. See ya at Summer Jam!
-
oh SHII-, guess im back on til school starts. Thanks Omni-H!

I think it has a tournament? but main thing to look for is that LK and SKD are going so it's an opportunity not to miss out. (Even though I'm not going) And it's in Baltimore, Maryland this weekend

wait a minute, you're not going to Otakon are you??
