  8. I know that it was fun, it was the 1st game were i participated actively on tournaments for it, but that doesn't mean that the game didn't have its share of faults.

  13. Let me rephrase it Balance of risk reward ratio, not balance of characters That is why you have moves like the 360 grabs, that have better properties than grabs with 41236 as their moves. It also happens that some of those frc windows are present on certain points of the move where they don't have to much room to give, since giving more on one way or another changes the output of the frc.
  14. The problem with this is that you are only making easier the moves with their frc window late in the move. Any move that happens to have their frc window on their 1st frames, lets say on the 1st 3, are still "hard" to perform compared to one that has it on the last ones, so now you have moves that have frc windows of 20 frames while others still have few frames.

If your had really read my posts, you will see that i have nothing against make the game more accessible, i also posted about many other different ways that can be viable on how to approach how to make them "easier" or make a new mechanic that works similarly to the frc's. I only act "disrespectful" to those who come here posting dumb shit like frc's are bad design or shit like that, specially if they barely have a real understanding on how they work. But hey, this is the new DL where even showing some sort of disdain to dumb shit is not tolerated unless you happen to be a mod, so whatever.
  16. Larger windows can fuck the outcome, i made an example some posts ago on how having a wider window is not an optimal solution. The thing that works mostly against the FRC in terms of making them more easy to perform is mostly the nature of the mechanic, the moves and frames where they are assigned and the intended use for them. And the alternatives have drawbacks since they don't work exactly as the frc. The more optimal way to make them easy without changing much of them would be make the game slower, but i am pretty sure that no many people would like the idea
  17. There are flaws on every possible solution actually, like you said the FB solution actually takes away some options of the moves that have their frc point late in the move. The buffer one forces that the frc happens on the 1st frame of the frc point (if the move has more than 1 frame of frc point of course), so if it happens that the move grants different outcomes depending of the frame where you cancel, you don't have access to the others :/ One thing that i think that ASW should add is some sort of visual cue that can serve as a guide to see when the frc point happens, as long is not too distracting but is clear enough it can help the players imo.

It has been already discussed why they are the way they are, why they are "hard" and that many would be ok if they turn them into force breaks, but not remove the concept since it adds a lot of what makes GG, GG, not to mention a lot of depth. Also, again, fuck this mentality where everything needs to be easy, it sickens me that everyone feels that they should be able to do everything without putting any effort, nothing against making things more accessible though, but sick that nothing can be "HAAAAAARD" because everyone cries like babies. Also add a huge eewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww to this story talk. Edit, it also annoys me when people talk about mechanics that they don't understand and lack the knowledge of the context behind them.

Because combos + airdashes + animu = GG hurr durr Seriously speaking, like other people pointed don't trust everything that is posted on the front page of SRK, outside a really few, the majority of people who write for it barely knows about fg's. Saying that, since Zinac plays GG, i wouldn't be surprised that he takes some little inspiration from GG, but nothing more than that, i am pretty sure that he wants to make the game within his own vision.
