  2. Annoying playstyles? None that I can think of immediately. When people make me have to be patient or adapt, that's just part of them making me a better player. As long as it's within what the game allows you to do it's all fair play really. The only nuisance is not having an answer at all, and owing that this game is somewhat competently balanced and has a good human element to it, that can be changed most of the time with research, clever playing, an' a lil' more effort. If there were a ton of actual impossible situations that could be used in serial succession to take a single player's influence out of the game completely I suppose I'd hate the style that uses those. As long as there's a way to victory I'm content. Under that view, I suppose the most annoying playstyle is the one where people do the same thing time and time again refuse to adapt, instead opting to blame their opponent or the game for their failure with the expectation that doing so would fix anything.

  7. Cloning new bodies for existing souls is a service Relius is well known for (see Hazama and Kazuma.) I'd bet money that's what Saya was/is for Saya T.

  10. Ah I see the problem, challenge 14 has her comboing into 2C from 6A, not 3C. Well the answer to the 6C>j.C>6A thing is pretty simple. It's a microdash 6A. Microdashing is the smallest possible dash you can do, and it's usually done like this: Step one: press 6 once before you can move, which in this case will be while you're falling and using j.C. Step two: on the first frame you are able to move, which will be right as you land, press 6 again. Step three: press the intended button, which in this case is 6A. Feel free to hold the 6 from the second step and press A. I've tested it myself just now and this should give you the desired result if done correctly. As for mission 13, you just need to j.236C as soon as possible. She becomes able to do it somewhere in the middle of 6C's animation. just as soon as it comes out you'll want to cancel it into j.C though.
  11. So what's the exact inputs combo you're going for? I know 6A doesn't have a gatling into 3C. The answer to the 6C>j.C>6A part is simply doing j.C as late and close to the ground as you can. I've seen people make up for 6C hitting an airborne opponent by using j.236C after 6C to stall in the air and change their altitude manually.
  12. Wow I'm a mess, posted in the wrong topic. :p But anyway, with the arcade systems being patched there's gonna be new arcade routes/stories... I wonder how that'll translate to console arcade mode..?
  13. An' if y'all think e-peens are the the worst repercussion this plan has to offer, none of you are considering the egos already in play. I'd like to believe such a system could work, however I don't think such a thing would operate without anything short of... anarchy. If such a thing were implemented haphazardly, I predict that the backlash would probably be legendary. I think the idea of it has some elements of fun and usefulness. I enjoy the notion of a workable ranking system that would spur friendly competition and perhaps usher in further discourse within the community. Due to the climate of our FGC as I understand it, I think achieving those ends by introducing a system like this would require a great measure of careful thought and focused public discussion. Everyone should begin by asking themselves "How could such a system be engineered to be helpful?" and "What hazards could arise from this that could be avoided?" within the context of our greater FGC.
  14. Well I didn't exactly save them, but being the week one and prior tier lists that they were, I'm 99% certain they were flawed. There was also a blurb about how critical the changes to j.B and 5C were, but I think this was before some other changes came to light as well. I'd be much more interested to know what the people here think about best cat in CF, since I'm seriously considering switching mains to her and I can hardly find any dialogue on her elsewhere. Also I'm sure many of you have seen by now but everyone's favorite Jourdal has posted a Tao combo vid on his channel~!
  15. In all probability, if I'm going to change characters it's gonna be Tao. I'll definitely play Relius if not as a main as a sub, but this new Tao has me exited. Nine and Izanami might be fun too, I'll definitely have to try them.
  16. Dazardz said most of what I wanted to say. At neutral double jumps are usually there to mix-up the timing of your jump in to dodge anti-airs or other potential dangers, or else extend its reach on a retreating opponent. Airdashes are for a couple things, but the obvious use is to get to the opponent quick whist in an airborne state. It could be that you're already in the air and you need to punish their recovery, or that you predict they'll try to jump and you want badly to airgrab them, ether way an airdash is usually the quickest option to that end. Airdashes are also used by many characters to do cross-ups in these games. In BB at the very least airdashes usually are commitment, once they begin the player can't block for a good chunk of frames, unless they play Tao Arakune Izayoi or Bang who can use additional air options to negate said commitment (Additionally some characters can use moves to halt or modify their airdash.) While it's a little slower, dashing then jumping is a safer option for air approach that will go just as far because the momentum from the dash is kept. You also maintain the additional jump/airdash to use however you need.
  17. Tao allegedly got a HP buff to 10K. Is there a reason a lot of people are placing Tao low on CF tier lists? She looks uniformly better to me.
  18. Since there's been no consensus on what notations should be used for spells (to my knowledge) I thought I might make one last proposal. Let's just use [XYZ] where X is water Y is Wind and Z is fire. The only time X is ever seems to be used anywhere else is in situations where a character has something like 214A 214B 214C and 214D and they're different versions of the same move and you want to abbreviate mention of all of them into one command. Not onlly does Nine not have these types of specials but [XXX] has no command next to it so it can't really be mistaken that way. If it sweetens the deal for any fellow megaman fans, X is blue and Z is Red in this situation. It shouldn't be that hard to memorize really.
  19. 1: Rel was a unicorn last time too starting out too. I think RYO is playing both Litchi and Relius right now so we'd do well to keep tabs on all of the Relius players we can. 2: We prolly shoud get someone on that. I mean the games even playable in the states in select places so it kinda makes sense that we move out of the loke discussion phase. We should prolly post a synopsis of known changes in the new thread as well as the damage and proration data we are aware of thanks to Tori. 3:What irks me most is that I haven't seen any solid tech or combos yet for CF, but maybe I just need to be patient.
  20. Honestly I don't really understand it well myself. In the video he drove her to 0 IG using a bunch of 214As. Though she was still functional, she started recovering gray bar instead of blue or pink. Then, soon after, when she was hit out of a move she died. It's quite odd. I think it's a nerf to OD?? But I can't really tell the exact implications of this change... I mean since she's still active what would happen if you desummoned her when she's recovering gray health? Can you do that even?

This is really weird and probably bad: https://youtu.be/xKnD9pXv2QQ?t=58m50s It looks like if Ignis is completely spent in OD she'll start recovering gray and die the instant she's hit out of a move or Relius is hit at all. This is a big change for how her meter works and I'd like to know the full details. Edit: added a timestamp.
  23. Incredible Also bursts make Ignis desummon even if she's using 2D. Don't know about Bios. 6B is still jump cancelable on block, don't know if it has gatlings. I'm seeing some 4K combos in the corner emerging. EA is huge. Command grab lets us clip through the opponent until Ignis is throughly done with them, it can be interrupted at any time by Relius if he wants to combo. j.236C~j.214B>airdash backwords>214C/236D is the oki Mabikapu seems to be going for right now. EA's don't touch Ignis at all, Tus goes right through them and CHs after their invuln is done. Tedo's min damage is something like 800 I think. Really poor looking. I have tons of fantastic ideas brewing for combos and oki. Command grab seems to be landing on a lot of people for now but how long will that last?
