  1. I remember before release people were saying that the SB versions of all her supers just did more damage. Haven't tested it myself yet to see if it does anything else.
  2. *Raises hand* Future duo Shana-Taiga main here right here! Also, thanks a lot for putting together that channel. Taiga footage was hard for me to find before now. This is a big help.
  3. A 40 minute set of Kazuki vs Sanma (Slayer)
  4. These are already in the Margaret Video thread but reposting them here for completeness Tahichi Margaret vs Okusan Nikuya Desu Sho: Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4
  5. The tournament ended up starting an hour early and pools finished before KOF Top 8 could finish. So, it didn't get streamed ;.; Not sure if anyone recorded it. Top 8 will be on stream tomorrow though.
  6. I get the feeling you're talking about what you can use to input the cancel but I'll say it anyway in case I'm wrong. He doesn't have a 2D. The 2D input just makes the move cancel into the appropriate D. In the case of teleport, it cancels into 5D. On the other hand, Soaring Fang will cancel into j.D if you use the 2D cancel. I'm sure the Shos here can give more detailed tips for neutral but in my experience from watching good Shos, it really comes down to taking advantage of Sho's great normals to rushdown and play footsies. You can also slip in a survival knife here and there to help you approach as well. The SB version throws both a fast one and a slow one to further help you limit your opponent's ground movements.
  7. Huh, I thought I replied to this already. Guess I'm doing so many things lately that I'm getting confused, lol. Anyway, I'm going to answer this one in case you didn't figure it out yet or other people don't know yet. Not all versions of Platinum Disc were born equal. Translation: The D version has a longer life span than the C version when scanned and will indeed go full screen. The increased lifespan also gives you more time to act as well compared to the C version in my experiences.
  8. Thanks for the translation Sourenga! It's very appreciated lol, I am not surprised. Looks like they want to move forward with UNIB 2 but it'll probably be a while before we see it since they're only now starting to try and get the ball rolling. It's also good to know we can give feedback in english.
  9. So, you quickly move away from the character then come back to it before pressing the button? That's a neat, work around. Wish I had known about it sooner ;.;
  10. I hope this means it'll actually remember my default color for more than 1 matches. Also, did the stream happen yet or is it a little later? I'm curious about what was said.
  11. Tournament looks great. It'll be my first UNIEL and Persona tourny ^,^ So....who's trunk am I stowing away in to get to this tournament? lol
  12. That sort of sounds right. It sounds right in the sense that Sho specializes in pressure much more than Minazuki so you should be struggling to get him off you more so than Minazuki. But it sounds wrong in the sense that you should overall be having more trouble with Minazuki. Eh, no big deal though. Probably just that a lot of Minazukis here in the west are not yet utilizing his full potential. So yeah, Sho is a hard one to get off you. Not a lot of pointers I can give. Here's some stuff you should look out for 5A and 2A stagger pressure. Max range 5A isn't as good as it used to be when it used to be + on block but it's still good at harassing people every now and then, especially a character like Marie who's lacking in fast pokes with good range. 2C is 30f but is very + on block SB Destruction Fang is a pretty fast overhead and unlike Minazuki, Sho doesn't have to go through the whole chain of Flash Fang > Soaring Fang > Destruction Fang. He can just go straight into it C High Speed Movement > SB Soaring Fang is good when Shos are varying their pressure and + on block if they use SB Soaring Fang and not regular Soaring Fang. SB High Speed Movement is scary, especially the air version from a jump or IAD. In addition to looking out for the above, don't forget to make use of system mechanics like Guard Cancels and Guard Cancel Quick Escapes to help you out. Oh yeah, special neutral note, SB High Speed Movement has invuln in the middle. A Sho can use it to get past a present in neutral so keep an eye out for it guys.
  13. Here's a link for the demonstration of Bullet's changes. You should be able to find all the videos and translations of the changes in the BBCP2 news thread and Shoryuken news articles
  14. No confirmation in the final release. I doubt they've reverted this change though since it seems to be a part of their overall effort to weaken gapless prolonged block strings but let us wait for the confirmation. As for bouncing back to intentionally to bait DPs, this could indeed work. We should still be + on block from H1 and H2 blocked drives so recovering in time to block a DP is not an issue. That said, I'm also not sure if there's a gap between blocked drive and non-charged flint shooter. It looked gapless in the Famitsu video but guess we'll have to wait and see.
  15. You can't punish a blocked teleport since it's + on block. I'm guessing Buttface means you should AA him with 5B instead of 2B since 5B is a better AA in terms of horizontal and vertical range. Not sure that's what he means though.
  16. I don't think we've heard anything about how + blocked drives are now since the first loctest reports and the reports from that lo test only said it was less advantageous. Nothing too specific. We'll have to wait to hear more reports. Not that it matters. If we don't special cancel a blocked drive, we'll get bounced back, which puts us in a poor position to continue pressure. Seems like it's red lock or nothing if we absolutely want to reset pressure with a D move now. Yeah, you're right. It definitely feels like Bullet's getting more damage overall and has more control over where to put the opponent. It also feels like her ability to convert off pretty much anything has gone up now that drives are special cancellable. I'm looking forward to seeing what JP Bullet players can do once they start optimizing combos.
  17. Charged flint shooter oki during heat up looks promising but need to see how plus on block it will be and how well it holds up against various defensive options. I'm very pleased with how early you can brake Capture and the brake itself doesn't seem to be too long. It looks to be very viable for resetting pressure if you're good at varying your pressure. I hope JP Bullets will experiment with this a bit. I feel like Bullet's ability to vary her pressure in the latter half of her blockstrings has become really good with these last 2 updates . Between 5C vs 5[C], 5D vs 5D Red Lock and blocked 5D > Flint Shooter vs blocked 5D > Charged Flint Shooter, there's a lot of things the opponent needs to be on the lookout for now.
  18. It's probably best to ask this in the Chie gameplay discussion thread to get a more detailed answer. But to give a quick, somewhat shallow answer, Chie gets in by having great movement and stays in by using 5A and 2A stagger pressure as well as varying up her pressure in general. Like I said though, it's best to ask in the Chie forums for more detailed advice. Watching footage of some of the better Chie players is also a good idea that could be very useful. Try browsing Chie's video thread and watching some footage of Kirisame, Tsujikawa and STD. As you watch the footage, pay close attention to how they move.
  19. 2014/9/13 Mikado 3on3 Azesuke vs Hohiko (Ramlethal) Arc Revo Cup Last Chance Qualifiers at Shinjuku Sportsland Orca vs Umecha (Ramlethal) Kedako vs NOB (Sol)
  20. You can actually sign up for Love Max at NEC when you pre-reg. It's one of the games on the list near the bottom. Maybe they will also do sign ups at the door? Still, I see no problem with having a thread to know who's coming. I'll be there with my Fiona in-training and should be getting in Friday ^,^
  21. You're reading too much into PR talk. Mori probably has the full details on how they'll be handling the console release and even when they plan to release it but you probably won't hear about it until people give him the OK to talk about it. Oh, this takes me back. It feels like just yesterday that people were complaning OD itself was X-Factor
  22. FYI, ASW is doing the localization themselves. Aksys is only publishing the game. If there's a delay for the NA release, it'll happen because of poor planning and coordination on ASW's part...or much more likely, ASW honestly doesn't care about the NA release enough to put any real effort into it until the JP version is done or almost done.
  23. If you can't see her in the character select screen at all, it might be a patch issue. Guess we'll see as more reports come in.
  24. Woo! Atlus providing godlike support for Persona as always. Time to train hard for these next 2 months!
  25. Excellent. Looks like everything I want is there. Though, they're kind of vague about what's releasing when. They only say things will start releasing next week. Oh well. Looks like the wait is almost over for those of us who waited for NA release.
