  1. Y'know what else sounds stupid? Caring even slightly about a fictional character's retconned hair color.
  2. I dunno if I'd call that more logical, but it's certainly more consistent. It's similar, but a lot of the things GG and BB have in common work a lot differently between the two series (IB, barrier/FD, general movement, bursts, oki, etc.). There are guides floating around, and you can check the wiki for information on GG's mechanics, but the best way to get a feel for the differences is to just play GG.
  3. Things we're not allowed to discuss any more because you're all really bad at it: DLC characters. This thread isn't Dustloop's way of asking you to try and tell the future, and we're not a high school debate team. It's a place for you to discuss/give your opinions on things we know about Chrono Phantasma so far. Any further speculation/guessing/wishlisting is getting infracted/banned, period. It serves no purpose beyond giving you a chance at quoting yourself a few months in the future and going "Called it!" If your idea of a reasoned argument is calling the other party stupid and shoving a in there somehwere, you're getting infracted/banned, period. If you disagree with an opinion, fine, but keep the discussion civil and try not to look like a bigger idiot than the person you're against. Oh, and don't let someone else's off-topic post derail the entire thread by getting into a discussion about it. Ignore the post and move on. Use the Report function (underneath the post itself) if you think it's that bad, but don't make it any worse. Are we all clear?
  4. If you screw up a combo, your opponent gets out. It's plenty fair. Also consider it from the techer's side: since it's not an active input on their part, they have to react to their own tech to make sure they don't eat shit after it. It works well in P4, which is why it's sticking around in CP. (And yes, it was confirmed in the loketest PDF that explained Overdrives and the new moves for each character.) We have no way of knowing until the console version is released (or they decide to announce it, which no, they haven't yet), so I'd advise not worrying about it too much.
  5. Moved story posts to the story thread, because that's a really good place to discuss that sort of thing. It's a pretty simple concept, guys.
  6. I was thinking more along the lines of "pointless" but they're in the same boat.
  7. Nah I think we're done talking about ports for now.
  8. First and foremost, there have been a lot of arcade fighting games on "PC" hardware (KOF13, BBCT/CS, etc.) that have been leaked and made playable. Even though these are designed to be run on a system running Windows, for most people they run like shit and have to be run through a special emulator regardless - they're not native programs, and they don't take multiple hardware configurations into account. If you don't happen to exceed the arcade board specs, it just won't work. Even if you do, you have to take into account all the background applications you're running that the arcade board doesn't because it isn't actually a PC. Furthermore, BBCT actually did get a consumer PC version, which took ages to get into working order and still wasn't that great. You think they spent all that time with their thumbs up their asses? Developing for consumer PCs is a pain in the ass. Developing an arcade game that runs on "PC" hardware (which has set hardware, with set specifications, and set expectations of performance, exactly like a console) isn't. Saying "it's already a PC game!" is fucking stupid, stop doing it. Just because the arcade board is running a version of Windows doesn't mean it's not essentially a console.
  9. Going for a Jojo's look.
  10. And that's quite enough of that, thank you very much! Both of you can direct your arguments to the nearest wall now, you'll see just as much progress.
  11. Probably as soon as porting to PC becomes a sound financial decision.
  12. I specifically mean with regards to the percentage of outfits considered "revealing", and how that discussion probably has no place in this thread. Tsubaki's already had a plot-relevant outfit change, so changing outfits again is probably relevant in some asinine way.
  13. You guys can make a story about any little thing, can't you? It'd be super helpful if you all calmed down a bit and put more thought (and research) into your posts. It's easy for stuff to get lost in this thread, and you get people posting the same things over and over. If all you're going to do is guess, maybe it's better to just not post at all.
  14. Have anime storylines gone so far downhill that a character's outfit, or lack thereof, is plot-relevant? Come on.
  15. Time to pay Mac a visit.
  16. Alright, that's enough. Take it to PMs or something.
  17. Pretty sure he was bullshitting.
  18. If Caelica had Tsubaki's hair color/style/accessories and was in any way alive, that might just be plausible.
  19. Story discussion, if you can call it that, moved to the appropriate thread. May Chao have mercy on your souls. And until they announce Pirate Nu in CP, let's leave her out of this.
  20. Looks like Tsubaki without the coat on. The collar/shirt thing I can't think of the proper name for looks a lot like what Noel's wearing nowadays. I guess SKD got his wish.
  21. Documents are up indicating they'll be available in English on the various networks, and Aksys confirmed that the worldwide release is in ASW's hands. I don't see them delaying it, really.
  22. Ah, really? I've had people join my games before, but that was a while ago - maybe it's a firewall issue... I'll try again tomorrow I guess. Thanks for the heads up.
  23. 4-slot room up, named Circuitous. Try not to have zero bars if at all possible kthx. Also I'm hella rusty.
  24. Seems to be the global release date.
