  1. I wonder if this is exclusive to his divekick? Narukami has one too. :V Maybe I'll test it later and see if it happens in regular P4U.
  2. No, it wouldn't. That would definitely make combos and confirms a lot easier. Then again, it could even be too strong since the hitstun in a clean hit is almost the same as a counter hit. So, imagine that you jump and use a j.B, it hits them out of the air without CH but they're in hitstun till the ground thanks to the clean hit, making it easy to confirm and continue the combo. I saw it happening a couple of times even with the spacing requirement. I'd love that to happen but I think they won't do it. After all, they'd take out all the challenge of using the character in the first place.
  3. Gao and Soirate footage from the Taito Last Chance Qualifier (03/29/2014). Gao (Junpei) Vs. Soirate (Junpei) Gao (Junpei) Vs. S.Mitsuru
  4. I thought about this ever since the "new version" was announced. To be honest, I don't know what they could change to make things better and that kinda worries me. Like, the character seems OK to me, they could take out some recovery in stuff like you mentioned, it would make him a little bit better but I don't think that's what he needs. The main problem is outside Victory Cry: He has absolute nothing going for him there. I wish he could at least get knockdowns but he can't. I think Junpei needs to be more solid outside of his install, it doesn't necessarily need to be a damage buff, even some corner carry would be nice. And about the Clean Hits, there are no inconsistencies. According to Xie, all you need to do is hit them with the right spacing and it will clean hit everytime. If he doesn't get it, then the player might've messed up the spacing. Watch Gao or Hina matches later, they hit confirm pretty well with Junpei and are pretty solid with his Clean hits.
  5. Musui footage from Amipara Technoland. He's pretty solid and uses some nice combos. Musui (Akihiko) Vs. S.Kanji Musui (Akihiko) Vs. Kanji Musui (Akihiko) Vs. Kanji Musui (Akihiko) Vs. Kanji Also, 3:32 of the first video. Sickest confirm ever. 5k off of 2B non-CH using OmB.
  6. More Hina footage from Shinjuku (03/27/2014). Hina (Junpei) Vs. Sho Hina (Junpei) Vs. Yosuke
  7. It was never terrible. It might be slightly in Elizabeth's favor but as an Aki player, it's pretty even in my opnion. She controls more space than Aki and he'll have to play very carefully in neutral. If he gets past that, she... can't do much, honestly. Aki's damage/mixup is too strong for her to deal with.
  8. I made a post about what I think regarding his strenghts and weanesses here. tl;dr: He's bad outside of Victory Cry but very competent when he gets it. It's kinda like Labrys' gameplay with Axe Levels, except Junpei's "Red axe" stays for the whole match once activated.
  9. That was my mindset in P4U. "It can't get worse in the next one right." So, how about you guys put cards away for a while and play baseball?!
  10. Hina (Junpei) Matches below, he's pretty good. Shinjuku Sportsland footage (02/20/2014). Hina (Junpei) Vs. Chie Hina (Junpei) Vs. Narukami Hina (Junpei) Vs. Narukami Hina (Junpei) Vs. Narukami Hina (Junpei) Vs. Akihiko Hina (Junpei) Vs. SHO
  11. I had to. Ambiguous cross ups are the thing.
  12. Hum, P4U's balance patch before consoles wasn't meant for glitches right? Maybe we can still get something like that in this version too. Liz buffs incoming! I'd like some shadow buffs as well. At least a defensive Burst to get out of stuff.
  13. Some Shadow footage. (03/20/2014) Gao (S.Junpei) Vs. S.Kanji 01 (03/20/2014) Gao (S.Junpei) Vs. S.Kanji 02 (03/20/2014) Gao (S.Junpei) Vs. S.Kanji 03 The combo at 04:26 in the first video is beyond hype.
  14. By the way Houdini, it looks like most of the links in the video thread are... gone. Can you take a look?
  15. Oh yeah, I've noticed that the AoA worked with her DP, probably because it's very active. I believe she can delay the shot or cancel with Safety mode though. And about the Reversal Super, it probably has a clean hit follow up to cause the slide. It seems to have the same follow ups as the normal one after all.
  16. MAXIM HERO - Tozen (Akihiko) Vs. Mao (Sho) 01 MAXIM HERO - Tozen (Akihiko) Vs. Mao (Sho) 02
  17. MAXIM HERO - Mao (Sho) Vs. Tozen (Akihiko) 01 MAXIM HERO - Mao (Sho) Vs. Tozen (Akihiko) 02 Pretty nice Sho.
  18. Sorashido (Junpei) matches sorted out of the 9th Kansai a-cho tournament video.
  19. That's absolutely amazing, I did noticed something was off with his air actions but that explains it. Loving all his changes so far.
  20. Hum, I don't know. Wasn't Ryouji the one who managed to keep him alive, or rather, bring him back from the final battle?
  21. About that, well, I think he DID experienced rebirth. He was alive right after the battle when he encountered his friends. His conscience faded away in the rooftop later on. In any case, I want him to come back. It wouldn't ruin P3's ending for me, after all, it wasn't fair for him to be a seal for all eternity in the first place.
  22. Now that you mention it, what if Elizabeth herself becomes the seal to save him? Or rather, what if she can do something to keep the seal there but take Makoto out? I mean, she IS a powerful entity after all. I'd be cool with both, considering the second option is plausible enough.
  23. I only know about the change on 2C but all these are probably still in. It's no surprise players don't use it in neutral since the duration is much shorter now, they need to get that hit fast to make it worth it.
  24. Soirate (Junpei) Vs. Narukami Soirate (Junpei) Vs. Kanji Soirate (Junpei) Vs. Yosuke
  25. Sorry if this is really obvious but, what is a "mook"?
