  1. GGs to the players in the "West Coast < 200 PSR" room. Didn't do too shabby after not playing the game for about a week.
  2. I wouldn't mind playing CSEX again. Gotta make sure I don't forget how to play Noel.
  3. Honestly, since I'm at school @ SDSU until like 4:30 - 5 pm on Fridays, I don't think I'll have problems driving to Spidey's place in Oceanside since driving straight from school basically cuts my driving time down by at least 20 minutes (hopefully more ). But hey, if I can drive 2 hours just to get P4A early, then driving anywhere around LA should be cake to me by now, let alone faraway places in San Diego.
  4. If a Kanji is right in your face during his IK and you have a Burst to spare, use it. It's basically free meter for you. I doubt you'll see it a lot but it's something to know in this matchup.
  5. Any plans for this Friday? Is Kevin hosting again or Roa?
  6. Not really sure if I can go. Classes at SDSU started again.
  7. blargh needs to compile all these useful combos into the opening posts so that I can update the Wiki. You guys can help as well!
  8. Did any of you guys feel the earthquake yesterday?

  10. For the last one, I find it easier if you DON'T backdash and just learn to time the 2[C] so that you're already in position to 2B them. Sure you have to delay the 2B a bit, but I find that an easier alternative than learning how to 66~2B.
  11. Depends if the you performed 236B~D on the ground, that just makes it a hell of a lot harder.
  12. Welp, looks like I can't make it unfortunately, I have relatives who are sleeping over for the night and I have to help my family play housemaid. Sorry guys, and there were a lot of people coming too!
  13. If Tsukibaka is going, I'll bring my PS3, game and HDMI cable and he'll bring his monitor like we did at Saltmines. However, my brother is probably going to want to play P3FES, assuming he doesn't go out like I am. Speaking of P3FES, I just beat the The Answer, I don't think I've ever grinded so much in a long time. Ending was satisfactory for the most part as I've been curious how the P3 story ended, seeing how I beat P3P two years prior but have always wondered what happened to the crew afterwards in The Answer. Anyway I'm glad that I'll be back grinding in P4A again.
  14. Oh shoot. More people coming, definitely gonna do my best to make it this Friday.
  15. Only official frame data of her 5A, 2A and AoA has been released IIRC. However, if you have recording equipment and if you have the time, you can have the Training Dummy record a move you wish to know the frame data of while you're Recording the Dummy's actions with the number of frames being displayed. Then when you're done recording on your capture device, you can check the move(s) you've recorded frame by frame and it should give you a good idea of its start up, recovery, etc. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Efwc3ylZUMo
  16. Think you can come over if Kevin is actually hosting?
  17. He said it was cool on the Mayonaka Midnight forum a few days ago.
  18. As for the first set up, maybe it's because my execution is ass but I find that the opponent can tech before my superjump comes out. A video demonstration would be nice, as well as your other setups as I'm a visual learner. Also after playing at another offline session, I'm starting to have an even more better understanding how Naoto is played. As mentioned before, you need to be really mobile and set traps at various places and heights to keep them guessing. Another thing to keep in mind is to be able to recognize opportunities for you to go in, such as when they block a trap or 5D~D, you can't always hope to come out on top in a neutral situation when both of you are slinging random normals at each other which I admit, I found myself doing at times, especially when I had the life lead. Also, knowing when to use Naoto's F-Action is important as well. Sure, it's risky but if you learn your opponent's habits then it's okay to abuse it. For example, the best Mitsuru in our city was simply poking me with staggered 5As which forced me to respect it. Had I simply had more courage, run up and F-Action'd Mitsuru in her face, I could've reversed the momentum to my favor and softened up her offense as it'll discourage her to try anything gimmicky like that again. /2cents
  19. Just got back home about 20 minutes ago and it was nice seeing a few more people playing P4A as well. Tsuki's Labrys is still swag as usual but other than that, I think I improved just a bit, just have to get used to annoying the hell out of everybody with traps and actually punishing my opponents who like to disarm them. About Salt Mines, I think this will be the last one in a while that I'll go since the new semester at SDSU stars next Monday, I doubt I'll have time to go, but I should be able to go to Friday meetups with effort. As for the supposed meetup at bellreisa's place this Saturday at around noon, it's still not set in stone yet as I still have to see if I'm clear that day. I also don't want to go if it's just going to be me, Tsuki and bell.
  20. It's official I'm going! I'm just gonna shove all the errands I was supposed to do today for tomorrow. I may be there a bit late, like around 6:30 but I'll still be there.
  21. Don't worry, I have an HDMI cable. Stay online though so that you'll be able to see if I can really go or not.
  22. I'm starting to realize that now. The only people who get hit with 5B, 5C, 2C footsies are those who can't block at midrange, sure it works sometimes, but I can't rely on it all the time. Looks like I'm still getting used to playing lame, however, I can't help but feel scared when zoning Kanji out, it's like he knows exactly when to air dive me with the grab once I go into Aim. I guess it's just a matter of barricading myself with C traps at more appropriate locations. Yeah we realized this for a while now, you can even AA 2B it into a 3k combo.
  23. Agreed, I feel that the matchup is against her in this one. Naoto's efficiency with zoning with traps is cut in half due to Aigis' 2B and she can't exactly rush in and win in a neutral situation with Aigis' stellar normals. Maybe being patient and having Aigis waste her bullets or forcing her to be cautious with her bullet consumption could work, but it's a long shot.
