  1. Just called the store as they opened and they said they have an extra PS3 copy available for me! Off I go now!
  2. It's always the quiet ones that are freaks.
  3. Okay, assuming nothing comes up for me tomorrow at the last second, I may drive up there as early as 8 to get the game as soon as I can and just jolt back home. Latest is 9 or 10.
  4. Just called the store champtang mentioned and they'll have it this afternoon! Call them and give them your name and number if you're planning on purchasing it there and they'll hold a copy for you and call you when it's ready.
  5. Oooh how tempting. Anybody up for a roadtrip to Long Beach to get the game a few days early? I'll ride with one of you, or drive if anybody is up for it. Sounds cool.
  6. Right after Naoto, Liz is one of the characters I'm serious about learning. Why am I not surprised?
  7. Naoto because I'm a masochist...... and dat Romi Park. Will try to learn Yu and Chie to an extent if I want to be braindead and abuse Oki flowchart and maybe even Aigis, Elizabeth and Mitsuru simply out of character loyalty. Also Roa, think you can have the design for the revised ad done by Thursday night? I plan on printing a handful of them and distributing them in my local Gamestops since I'm gonna be going out that day anyway.
  8. What's this? Ranked Matches having better connection than Player Matches? I this real life? And shoutouts to jumping from a PSR of 5 to 101 by fighting players of various PSR.
  9. Can't create a room either. Didn't even get to play a decent match like I did last time, only played Level 0 connection lag filled matches, and I'm using wired. Guess I'll go out and workout or something. EDIT: Nevermind I just created a room called socal WIRED :D
  10. my room is called socalWIRED ONLY but you're free to join, no one is joining atm. EDIT: Welp, connection problems just arose.
  11. The place we've been going for roughly 3-4 months just closed down a few weeks ago, so for now, we just go to shtkn's place in Clairemont.
  12. Even when I move the family modem/router to where my PS3 is to get a wired connection, I still see Level 0 connections everywhere.
  13. At the end of the day, it's all about who has the best normals and who can keep you guessing all day if you make just one mistake. /jokejoke
  14. I started out on pad in CT, then moved on to stick in CS... so what does that make me?
  15. Can't do my morning workout since my body is still sore so I guess I'll be on in a few on PSN, anybody in SoCal want to play?
  16. Didn't want to post this here to raise hopes until I actually tested it out but the forum is practically dead so here. http://proonline.forumotion.com/t23-tutorial-how-to-set-up-your-psp-to-play-online http://proonline.forumotion.com/t81-has-anybody-here-tested-katekyo-hitman-reborn-battle-arena-2-spirit-burst
  17. Just gonna throw my own two cents on this, and you probably know this already, but at the end of the day, just play to have fun. I'm not telling you to stop trying to get famous but if you don't have fun while trying to achieve your goal, then you might as well be wasting your time. I may as well be one of the worst players in my scene, maybe to the point where a few members are disappointed in how I barely make any progress and how I still make stupid mistakes but I've always managed to have fun playing anyway.
  18. bell, if you were to host, what time would you be willing to allow guests into your home?
  19. Oh snap. FFIV final boss is maining Naoto, this is gonna be fun.
  20. Definitely, if you don't mind hosting on the day the game releases, and the whole SD online thing is just to mess around with the game in the first few hours we get the game in the morning. (I'm getting it right when Gamestop opens)
  21. That's another thing newcomers struggle with when they want to get better. They don't know exactly what they should and shouldn't be doing due to their lack of FG knowledge. Don't worry, we've all been there and it takes some research and experience on your own end to figure out what are the right and wrong things to do.
  22. PSN: Ichipoo GMT: WST Location: Chula Vista (San Diego)/California/USA
  23. THAT'S your problem. Jokes aside (Every community has their assholes and angels, I'm guessing you unfortunately ran into more the former than the latter), as for the walls you say you keep hitting, it's up to you discover what exactly are they and how to overcome them. I'll give you a few examplse for when I was starting out BBCT as a Noel player back in Q1 2010. Wall #1: Combos are hard to perform at first. Solution: Just grind it out. Wall #2: Opponents block fairly well and I can't auto-pilot into combos as much as I want to. Solution: Mix in more overheads and convert off of them. Same goes for lows. Wall #3: Some opponents sometimes block almost everything I throw at them and can block high on reaction due to Noel's slow 6B and 2D. Solution: Mix in some throws. Wall #4: I panic when I'm on the receiving end of attacks and get Counter Hit .easily. Solution: Stop pressing buttons when blocking and don't just sit there wondering when your opponent's pressure will end, familiarize yourself with the normals that he/she uses in their blockstrings
  24. I guess that clears up my slight confusion on reading some of the combo lists when it read "236A~D."
