  1. Also, if you notice or feel they aren't at the appropriate height, just use 6C>236C>214B. Its better than dropping the combo and still gives the same oki.
  2. Fabulous spin, but because its there, its poorly abusable xD I use it way too much in the wrong situations. Its range only really works against grounded opponents unless the hitbox is weird for the air attack. Either it wiffs or is safe jumped. Plus 2363214C is a pain in the ass to use under pressure.
  3. Relius has a crappier reversal DD that has awkward input, horrible range, and awful reward (by its self, not UB setups). But man, I found out how much I hate super armor/auto guard/whatever the hell you wanna call it. Seems like its only good for Mu's DP and MTW. I keep tryin to poke with Ignis and cuz she gets hit, bam, 12 more active frames that slap me in the face.

  5. I havnt realized until today how afraid I am to mixup Ragna. It feels like every Ragna player knows you're mixup is slow and obvious, and has ID ready to slap you in the face with it whenever. I'm just to afraid to use half the tools I have available. Whenever I get hit with ID, it doesn't feel like they were planning it, but more along the lines of "lol, I see that overhead/empty jump". How you spose to do mixup on a guy who destroys frametraps? Dx
  6. Ggs to the few I played tonight, had a few Relius mirrors and was too scared to do any mixup on ragna cux of that damn ID... man I hate that move.
  7. When I lock someone down with 214C and try to dash just to have lag say "lol yeah right" and casually walk and end up losing my one opening.
  8. Honestly I think it depends on the type of Hazama you play. Some will spam chains, and some might just stay on you the whole match. If he spams chains, I think its similar to playing Nu just without being able to abuse Ley on swords as much. Up close, I honestly don't have too much issue blocking his mixup (but the ones I play never use his 6A), and then thry start tryin to mix in 214D~C which can be smacked out of easily. Ive heard some Hazama's say that chain pressure isn't very effective on Relius, though the reasoning for it idk.
  9. Either IAD or 66C. I usually go for 66C since IAD requires too many micro dashes for it to work for me, it works on 10 people, which I've put in the combo thread
  10. That one I sent you through PM, but I suppose I should post it in the combo thread. Just replace 6A with 5B and bam, 6915 damage. Honestly though, since the 22C>2D path works on valk, I dunno why that specific combo would be needed. The 22C>2D path gives more damage, more carry, and less ignis.
  11. Ggs to Tesno and others in arcade lobby. The depression that ensues when you accidentally hit C at the same time as B and get a grab mid combo... whoch could've won the match
  12. Sometimes 236C>214A is burst safe. If you delay 214A, it can even pick up the combo with a good enough timer to go for the 7k damage route
  13. Once I get a hitbox (if ever) I think it'd be alot easier since I could hold back the entire time. Then I will climb the latter closer to Ryo tier! Pretty unrealistic xD though being able to block and bait bursts is a start.
  14. You sure do love those resets xD the only thing I dislike about 4D resets are the conversion back to oki. I guess you could just use 22A for knockdown at the end, but still. One thing I was wondering is how others input 3C>6D>j.B in order to keep it safe from bursts until picking up the combo. Do you just do 9>[4]B to block untol then?
  15. Someone else had the same problem in this thread, and another one of our fabulous Relius players gave us a few solutions if you have issues pulling it off xD. Most of the time its a delay on the 6C after 2C.
  16. I think its mostly a comfort thing for some people. I honestly feel really awkward to have my hands at the top of the controller like that. Before I got CP though, I played Vita extend, and all I had to do for RC's was flick the right thumbstick, and now I use a 6 button pad, so I can't give a real good reason.

Vs amane, if he likes to use his 2C from anything but full screen in attempts to poke you, its pretty much a free tedo callout, and with 100 heat can get you an easy midscreen combo of up to 4.5k. I'll admit to being wrong here if this can be avoided, but I think its free? Vs tager, the new 22C>2D>...6C combo path uses slightly more ignis in exchange for more corner carry and damage (about 500 more). Also, moar j.C IOH vs tager xD. Somethin general I noticed, how come you didn't use any 236C RC paths in the corner when ignis was low? You'd have 50 heat and ignis was about to die, was it because of bursts or something? (Wasnt paying attention to bursts). Alternatively, 236C>214A>OD prevents ignis from dying while giving the recharge rate. This is just a personal habit of mine, but any time I see Rachel's super (the one that throws stuff), its easily IB'd for some free meter before she comes in for mixup depending on level. If you got 50 meter from it you could've done some funny CA>2D reversal combos. Dunno how good they can be, damage is awful, but I've finally been getting use to doing it for changing momentum.
  18. My controller has a 6 button layout and I can't play claw style on it xD; I have the usual set up, then for my other two face buttons I have CT and Rapid. Neither of my shoulder buttons are in use but I'm in the lab a lot

  21. That does sound epic. The dude also bursted as soon as a featherweight attack hit him, which made it EXTREMELY easy to bait burst. Seriously. Corner grab...haas and bursted before I even picked up the combo. Honestly, I thought purple grabs died until this week. What must I do to tech grabs? -sigh-

Anyone epse get pissed when a player choses a character, you choose your main, you win, then they go vs you again just to force you into a mirror match, which by the way they couldn't play for sheisse? Not only that, they spammed pink grabs during every combo (and sadly, I dunno what to mark as my grab tech button on my pad)
  23. Hmm... in case anyone was curious, I finally just went ahead and bought all unlimited characters. Biggest thing I'd love if we could get it... arial nose. That move seems like it'd be so much more useful at controlling space if you could put it in the air. Other changes (from normal, not past UNL) include: -j.B gives comboable ground bounce on air hit -j.C hits twice and reverse gatlings to j.B -3C untechable -214A (lauger followups included) are multi hit -214B (lyra) has belial edge-esque followup that pulls them towards you -j.214B (lafino) tracks and gives untechable knockdown -22x no longer does damage, puts target in long stagger, even on air hit -41236B much faster startup, can be used practically whenever -214C has 5 hits -214D usable in the air, has 2 hits and causes small groundbounce ->214B (Naidas) is 2 hits and gives large, comboable ground bounce -new OD DD, don't know the inputs, just that it exists xD;
  24. Guys, I've never been so pissed off by tager since the beginning of this game. There's no such thing as a lag free tager match -_- even if this guy is a good tager. All this shit about Koko, hell no, give tager 6000 hp and remove his normal grab xP xD (joking ofc)
  25. Im just curious if anyone knows if mashing j.A after an air purple grab tech will stuff his air 360 reset? I end up eating so many purple grabs cuz of this Edit: ok, j.C and j.236C can both avoid it. They also leadto hilarious corner carry when they connect. If you tech the purple grab, then you can do this to beat the aor tager buster. j.C>j.236C>j.214A>5B>2C>6C>41236B>66B>j.b>j.C>j.236C>j.214B. This was the combo I did for roughly 3600 damage, maybe you could use 236C instead of j.236C at the end to avoid SMP.
