Is there any information regarding to when will be Kuja added as a playable character in arcades, or is he there already? I can't find any footage of him, other than the trailer of course. EDIT: Never mind, footage of him has started appearing today, doesn't seem to be as good as he was in Duodecim, shame.

online Online character question (Not deciding)
Clousephinat replied to Dissonance212's topic in Guilty Gear General
Ky will always be one of the most popular characters online because of his mixups that are easy to react offline but are unblockables online, and Sol because he's Sol, a rushdown character pretty easy to pick that you can win by just spamming his specials again and again like most people do. Then there's Millia and Pot, most people play Millia because she's not a difficult character as well and with the new RC she's even more easy now (like most of the returning characters), and people know they get a great reward by playing her without putting that much effort, plus she's also a rushdown character and these kind of characters will always be the most popular because they don't call for a high execution like other characters, and Pot for the grappler players, that like any grappler in a fighting game, they are always more good playing online than offline. Those four will always be the characters that are more common online, Pot maybe not that much now for being nerfed and some people like to make a fuss just for that fact alone, but I remember when I played AC online, Potemkin was pretty much always the only character there everytime I played, and some Sol and Ky from time to time, the other characters were almost nonexistent. -
I-No's combos have always depended on the weight and the hurtbox of the characters she fights against and Xrd is no exception. The common combo with the IAD in the corner which is 6P>5HS>IAD>j.K>j.S>FFVCL>j.S>j.HS>P Dive>j.HS>P Dive works with all the cast, but then depending on the character you fight you can change your combos for more damage and/or better knockdown, Slayer's hurtbox for example is quite big, and that works very well for I-No because she can get a knockdown with a double P Dive in some combos with damage over 200+ that wouldn't work with most of the other cast, while Venom on the hand has a really small hurtbox and you'll have to SJ most of the time to just link j.HS with P Dive against him. Also, you don't need to SJ against Faust anymore in 1.1.

I'm guessing I-No will be the main antagonist of GG once again based on that same ending, Inoue also seems to hint this according to what she says in the Gallery.
-
It's not, the reason why Ky became the King of Illyria in the first place was so that the Senate didn't expose to the public that her wife was a Gear.
-
This is great! Is there any chance you could do another one for +R PC as well?

I'm very interested to try out Jack O' but since I'm a stubborn I-No fanboy I doubt I will switch mains, in the meantime since my sub character is yet to be confirmed Jack O' will probably go instead if my assumptions about her were correct and she's the type of character I'm looking for. If Bridget does become playable later and in the best case scenario they make him even more fun to play than it was before then maybe I'll do that and stop playing that much with I-No until she's more like the character I was fond to play before Xrd came out, but at least for now I'm still planning to main I-No in the game.
-
Not really, May is also a bad matchup for I-No and even so it seems he thinks she's worse than Potemkin (can't say I really agree with that one though), and personally I don't think the matchup with Faust is really that troublesome anymore, probably still 5.5/4.5 in Faust's favor but no more, worst matchups for I-No now are Axl and Chipp.
-
Yeah, is the same.
-
Sorry about that then, edited.

Koichi's tier list: S: Zato, Faust, Sol. A+: Millia. A: Ky, Elphelt, Bedman, Sin. B: Chipp, Leo, Axl, Venom. C+: I-No, Slayer, Potemkin. C: May, Johnny, Ramlethal. D: Jack-O.
-
She does seem to have the same eyes as Aria though, at least according to the first generation Valentine her eyes were red.
-
Let's hope that I-No is not also another Valentine since her personality is also hinted to be somehow unstable and now that is confirmed that's the case with Jack O' and is also a Valentine... I think Daisuke is putting the whole thing regarding Valentines a little too far if so, I'd like to believe that he has plans to add more than just more and more Valentines to fill up the story. I'm guessing that That Man doesn't know about Jack O' being a Valentine since he doesn't really have much info regarding them, and if he does then Jack O' must be the same as confused as him or she's hiding something, but then again I don't think That Man knows much about them apart from their activites together in the first place.

GGXrd -Revelator- Jack-O Hype Thread
Clousephinat replied to Soudabuki's topic in Guilty Gear General
I can't see the video, it says is private. What is shown there? -
j.P is nerfed? How exactly is that? I'm still seeing Ram players spamming this along with 5P without end, seems the same to me.
-
They do tech more quickly, test it for yourself. Slayer and Venom for example that are not heavier characters, and Potemkin and Bedman that they are, it makes no difference. They are unable to tech more quickly than Millia and others, weight has nothing to do with it, same goes with the wakeup of each character.

Some characters like Millia and May can tech more quickly than others, in those cases you have to either charge P Dive or delay the air dash, I prefer doing the last because is more easy and safe to get a guaranteed knockdown that way than if you charge P Dive, but again it depends of the situation and the character you're facing.

What I mean is that before if you had a successful knockdown far enough you could use j.HS in their wake up to make them believe they will get hit by it but then you'll use 2K after falling and keep going, this doesn't work in Xrd anymore since you don't need to be that high in order to connect normals during hover dash, if you want to that now you should do j.HS almost immediately after starting the hover dash, this was not necessary before and you can just replace it with j.S if you want (like U-Zen does pretty often). Obviously, despite of this loss the fact that is easier to do normals now during her hover dash is still a buff.
-
Even if that's true, you could already do that in previous games without the dash cancel and the height requirements back then in order to hit the opponent with a normal during her hover dash (best proof of it is that you can't use j.HS as a mixup tool anymore).
-
- STBT HS causes wall stick and is more easy to combo with in midscreen (I guess you'll still need to be CH) - 2S has more range (it doesn't really help anyway if HCL still whiffs far enough) - New effect with K Dive in CH (hoping is the same as it was in Slash, that was cool) - Charge time of Dives are reduced - Sterilization Method doesn't take CH anymore during recovery I think it was also mentioned that you can dash cancel a little earlier now (in the first loketest it was removed) and that 2K also has better range.

New to GG, need help with a Fighting Stick
Clousephinat replied to Serious_is_Me's topic in Hardware
I've always played GG with pad and I had no problems playing with the characters I have fun with, whoever says that is impossible to play well without using stick is lying, and Xrd is not that difficult anyway as it was before. -
I must admit that Hasegawa seems to have improved a lot recently, not saying he was bad before but he's definitely more fun to watch now, I'll keep watching his matches from now on.
