You need to do the j.C so the recovery is cancelled by landing. I do this by delaying the RC and the j.C. The second j.C needs to be delayed too.

The american definition of fuzzy guard is different from the japanese definition. When ogawa uses the word fuzzy, he was referring to fuzzy defense aka OS defense (eg fuzzy throw, fuzzy jump, etc). Presumably I-no disregards defensive OSes even midscreen is what he was saying. -

I speed read the one on sol and ky and it looks like he's saying sol has dropped in rankings; sol has a bunch of good matchups but none he dominates. ky has better neutral, sol has better damage and setplay. -

ooooooohhh the last bit was still referring to chipp ok. that makes way more sense now. I separated the two in my mind because ogawa decided to go and put an emoticon in-between them. thank you based chaz after rereading it, I think the blocking part is saying venom has to block chipp though, not that chipp doesn't have to block. -

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: PLEASE TAKE ALL THIS WITH A GRAIN OF SALT. FOR SOME REASON I HAD A RIDICULOUSLY HARD TIME UNDERSTANDING THE WAY OGAWA TWEETS, I MADE SOME ASSUMPTIONS WITH SOME OF THE PHRASINGS HE CHOSE TO USE, SO I'M NOT ENTIRELY CERTAIN ABOUT MY TRANSLATIONS. BUT HERE IT IS ANYWAY FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO READ. I put (?) next to the parts I'm not so certain about. A single question mark for just kind of unsure and two for I'm more unsure and three for I may be completely wrong. Each time I use the phrase 'bullshit move' Ogawa used "kusowaza" like "kusoge" except referring to the move so take that as you will. Zato: I'm very worried, there aren't many zato players, so his strengths could easily change. for now, since other kanto players and I think he's strong, I listed him as strong. (I'm not sure about this part:) he's strong all because of his offense and there haven't been many counter-plans against him(?) (People don't know the match up?) Faust: f.S is the strongest. He's easy and hard to make a mistake with. The problem is some parts of the millia and zato matchups are impossible, but perhaps they can't get through Faut's wall (i assume he's talking about the poking game)(?). He's extremely strong for now. Millia: (I don't understand the first bit, it seems that he's calling millia the strongest but I'm really not sure). Millia may be overtaken by faust, ino or zato. She's stable, but it's not enough to be the strongest by a little(???). The same can be said about zato. Ram: (Something about 4-6 matchups, I have no idea what yaki reiji is so I fail to comprehend the sentence) Recently, there's the impression that she loses to Faust, I-no and Slayer(?). She has a lot of bullshit moves, high damage and setplay, so I don't think she'll drop in rankings, but I'm a little suspicious about it. I-no: This is my own personal evaluation. She can destroy fuzzies midscreen easily. (Some stuff that I'm assuming are I-no specific move names that I don't know in Japanese, but he talks about Chemical YRC) And she has various setplay possibilities. Venom: Venom's neutral is strong, and everyone get's opened up by him, even the people who don't seem like they're going to be opened up. Balls open up multiple yomi possibilites (?)(I'm not sure because I'm not sure what that would mean), and aren't bad. I wonder how the Millia and Faust matchups are? At the moments venom is forced to block against chipp, he has a bullshit move (j.H?), but they're easily blitz shielded since blitz cannot be crossed up (inputed in neutral). Also, there were some posts with sol and ky and YRC and blitz shield stuff but I got too lazy to read those -

I'm going through ogawa's tweets starting from the tier list. something dai missed out was that he says ramlethal is barely S tier. I'll check back with translations and summaries once I get through however many characters I feel like. Don't expect too much from me though I'm only doing as much as interests me. -

okay i dont know if it's faster than litchi 6A, doesn't look like it to me but whatever RC would be better if celica is airborne between the first and second hit (which she may very well be based on the animation).

if you notice ragna goes into blocking animation pretty early. the start up doesnt look thaaaat fast. and the tell is that she leans back and raises both arms. also that's definitely longer than 5 frames and probably really not that hard to block once you block the first hit. it could be obnoxious but once you get used to it i'm sure it'll be fine.

you may not even need to YRC the grenade toss. it looks like the recovery on the throw is short enough and the timer on the explosion is variable enough that you could use the grenade for oki without YRCing it to me. Though I suppose it depends on the startup on switching stance to shotgun, though that looks decently fast as well. and depending on when the invul is during the roll perhaps there will be DP safe setups too. that may be hoping for a bit much though i guess. -

so i was reading the dengeki online article. and not only does elphelt's roll cross up even in the corner, she has a command grab in shotgun stance as well, which, if i'm understanding this right, puts the opponent in crouching state and can be comboed after. grenade shotgun oki could be pretty good. the thing i'm curious about is if you can attack while holding the grenade since it was shown you can airdash and move around normally. if it only disables your P button she may have some sick set ups for oki with mid combo grenade cooking. oh wait i'm not actually sure if the grenade thing is negative edge, I just assumed so. if it's not neg. edge then she could probably still do 5P or 6P or j.5P or whatever -

The Gamer article specifies how the stances change to indicate the shot is getting more powerful. Rifle stance gets a red reticule, and she glows red in shotgun stance (http://www.gamer.ne.jp/news/201409110048/image/13/) The caption translates directly as "when the sight becomes red, the power is rising" and "when Elphelt becomes red, the power is rising." so I guess that effect doesn't indicate max power, just that the power has started increasing
