Its been a while since ive been around heres. I wanted to ask a question about May and Impossible dusts (I just read what that was today lmao, just didnt know it was called that). Ive seen impossible dusts that start off with two j.HS's after the homing dash then going into a slash back and falling at about the same rate as the opponent and nailing him or her with another j.HS before May hits the ground to open up the gates for more stuff. Ive tried it but I dont think I have the concept down its like I keep floating up when they are fallin down. Fill me in if you can, and if youve already discussed it, just let me know what page its on, thank ya

Im about to pick faust up again along with zappa so I can make my favorite crazy Trio () and I always wanted to know how to do something ive seen with him before. Ive seen some faust players do this thing where faust jumps in the air and it looks like he does a quick faultless defense and he either looses altitude or stop for a quick second and it lets him do like a j.k after or something which seems to lead to some nice rush down. Ive tried it but I dont think I get the concept, it doesnt work right.

What do you use to capture your video for GG XX AC

Im getting use to the 6HS, V.Dolphin now. Its hard to explain how to charge it. Its kinda I try to press down forward but I press HS as soon as my finger presses forward before i hit the down all together. That works for me. Also I like practicing with Venom to help me with learning how to charge better, its helped me a bit it might help others. I try to do his 6p, 6HS, carcass raid (charge d, up slash), since its a bit harder to do that mays 6HS, V.Dolphin in my opinion. Food for thought.

I saw the combo videos you posted about a week ago when I was randomly running through youbute. For those that saw this video I need some help with her Dust Loop combo. From what I saw, May does 5d from a nice distance *like hits with either just the fist or the tip of the fist+, then homing jump HS, HS, looks like slash back, then let your self fall with your opponent then do a hardslash as your about to hit the ground, then start a V loop or what ever combo you want to do. I got the timing for the first two HS's down into the slash back, but in the combo video, the person falls for the ground at the same rate as the opponent after using the slash back. When I do it I continue to homing jump in the air :/. And Ive been messing around with it, and I havent found out what im doing wrong as of yet.

Recently I havent done anything special. The one thing ive been working on at the moment are combos done by frcing a vertical dolphin that connects on a standing/crouching (its a lil harder) opponent. Its harder if its you first connect with a HSVD first (SVD being alot easier) to go into the VD loop. But I frc from the overhead dolphin, j.HS, land, SVDolphin, and the rest is what you want it to be. The other one I call the toe tagger you have to be 3 1/2 steps away from the opponent so about two Mays. If it works right the dolphin will hit the person in the foot, and you can frc and land fast enough to do S, HS VD loop or something else more of your style. The easiest way to try it for me is to just dash in and k, s, f.s, svdolphin. It should hit the person in the foot if not leave you in front of them for a OHK if you dont get much dash time. I havent tried it on everyone but its fun to practice. Sorry I don't have more, but you guys have everything down that I have worked on so I dont have many new things to add. Thanks for the term chart again Kyle.

Regardless of what people say and of how stupid humans may be, I'm gonna make some friends with some Floridian Guilty Gearians and group together and have some fun testing each other. Its hard to motivate if its work at first. You have to do something enjoyable to hook someone. I hope you guys can hit your goal. If anything im going to bring people together. Even if im no genius, I know how to bring people together and enjoy themselves.

I understand, I didnt mean to get out of hand. I just don't like people putting others down. As serious as the topic is I think that we should at least give others a chance and try to at least befriend a person or two.

Criticism well noted and accepted, sometimes my logic doesnt always go through, I just am the type of person that hates when people put down others when they dont have to. So some of that Is more of personal opinion. I denote flaming because I feel that its a waste of time and energy. Its easy to call someone stupid, but if you see someone that is uninformed or missing the picture why not try to educate rather than put down? Show the person your point of view rather than stuffing it down his or her face? We can't band together or even make good friends at least if we are making fun of each other and throwing negativity around :/. When I said one person can't take on an army I wasnt talking about in terms of a tournament. I assumed we weren't talking about getting one person to beat everyone. We were talking about getting a group of people together to better each other so that one or more of us can succeed. That is what i meant when I was trying not to emphasize the individual persay. The previous topic that this thread spun off from was called "A Call to Arms <---not the 'S'." So i assumed that this was meant to be an effort to bring people together and not......a person. As someone mentioned before, you can practice all you want but until you get real practice verses skilled opponents you wont reach another lvl. It takes more than yourself to succeed if you look at it that way. When i said "standard combo" I mean a combo done with no wake up, traps, air dash in, or anything. Just a combo that you do rushing in or standing. Not saying the execution is hard, saying it actually hitting unblocked pixelated flesh being hard. I appologize again. If you see my title, it says" Stranger than an Otaku, so somethings I say might not be on the same wave length as others.

Ive read some of these posts about coming together to get better and work on our flaws. Ive also noticed that theres alot of bashing, flaming, dickslinging (namely over use of ego), and negativity that won't get any of us anywhere. Rather than saying American players are idiots or unskilled (which seems to be understood by anyway), why not continue to encourage the ones that are aware. Even if you are a so called "genius," you can't take on an army by yourself, this is real life not anime. Are we gonna come together like the forum is meant to do, or are we gonna continue to flame and bitch (We can go to the Sticky for Whining and Crying for all that.)? I hope its not the latter :/. Forgive me for the rant. One of the major things I can think of is execution. As the dude with the Kick Ass Rock Lee avatar said If you get your combo off 9/10 times you still need more practice on it. Not only should you practice combos, but situational moves (what I call random hits). You should try to get off as much dmg as you can with what ever hit you connect since hi-level/tournament matches can be dominated by a single hit. A good example: when I play some one thats damn good in GG its fcking rare to get off a standard combo. I use May so 9/10 I can only do dmg after nailing someone with a j.HS, random 5HS, Applause to the Victim (aka Dolphin from the Hollahoop), or an VDolphin for either anti air or overhead purposes. Right now im focusing more on being aware of an opening along with execution because once AC came out Ive had to worry more about execution than anything else cause I have alot of things to change. After that I think its getting as much battle exp as you can to see where you stand and what you lack. Rinse, Repeat, check your flaws and consult your peers like were doin now. To everyone out there good luck, try your best, and remember what makes you buck about your favorite characters.
