  1. I will but the servers just went down again. Servers are jittery at the moment so give it a day or two to equalize itself.
  2. More news: Supposedly after they fix the class advancement bug, everybody will be issued a class subclass respec item from Seria. This maybe a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to change your subclass after awakening. I'll keep posting news as I find it.
  3. A lot of people hate summoner due to the AFK nature of the class. It's supremely bullshit OP in PvP as well. As a F. Striker, Lightning Dance usually just wrecks shit but its still annoying. At this point, it's just a running joke among DNF players to make fun of Summoners. We won't hate you if you want to play one though but expect a good amount of elbow rubbing from us if you do ;P
  4. Why do you hate people?
  5. After emergency maintenance, we announce a few of the existing issues. 1. <Alpha test class advancement quest issue> Problem: After clearing class advancement quest, changing class into wrong one or awakening not available - We are trying to find a solution and will support by any means. We request your patience. 2. <Delegie server issue> Problem: Too much loading time or no connecting at all to Delegie server - During emergency maintenance, partially problems were solved but still, connection is not really stable. DFO Support team is stabilizing now and will implement a patch soon with stable one. For those who live near the North America Western area, please be patient. 3. <Other connection problems> Problem: Connection problems happening on the launcher, server seleting screen and channel selecting screen - We are also investigating and analyzing on the issue, but, with sincerely apology, it will take some more time to solve. Other than those issues above, DFO Support Team keeps monitoring if there are any other problems. We will try our best to grasp and solve the problems We apologize for any inconvenience. Thank you for your understanding. -Dungeon Fighter Online Support Team
  6. Already burned my Striker's fatigue so I'm rolling a Necromancer. Alt #2 rolled: Necromancer. Can't stop this hype train.
  7. IMPORTANT FOR ANYONE WHO PLAYED IN ALPHA: http://dfo-notice.blogspot.kr/2015/03/for-those-who-retrieve-alpha-test.html
  8. Oh your characters exist. Biggest bug at the moment is "Oops, your awakening accidentally changed your class to something completely different".
  9. Always. I'd input my buffs as a F. Striker and hotkey inputs that require semi-circles and whatnot so it's faster to input.
  10. East, Cain. I logged on before heading off to work to check it out and the servers are already down for maintenance due to an overwhelming number of people trying to get on. Neople did in 2 hours what Nexon couldn't in 2 years: Update content so people actually want to play the game.
  11. I've actually started taking Nemesis' advice; I've just entered a few tournaments for the first time and I did okay but a lot of the time I was thinking "after the fact" IE got a confirm, didn't convert, thinking to myself "Oh I could have done X". Or when I get a successful CH AA hit, it slips my mind I could have RCed into big damage and other things like that. So now I'm just grinding out simpler things until it's just second nature (which is how I learned BB). I guess it's pretty universal advice everyone should consider. Minus the porn. That bit is optional (but still recommended).
  12. Slayer would probably beat Valkenhayn since he's both immortal and much more experienced. Potemkin without his limiters would win hands down. Chipp vs Bang would probably be in Bang's favor because of the nail, except he's a goddamn potato and doesn't know what his weapon does. I-No because completely biased opinion :U
  13. I actually found this thread to be quite inspiring, in a way. A lot of veterans have come and posted the years they've been practicing and as someone who just started recently to get into GG at a competitive level, it feels good to know there's a long term goal of self-improvement.
  14. I was born with spatulas for hands. You know how clanky those Z-motions are? D;
  15. I think I posted earlier that it comes down to realistic goals and achievements. I wouldn't expect you to become a "Pro NFL player" like you mentioned, just as I wouldn't expect myself to become EVO champion at my first time showing, but I can aim for Top 8 and you could aim for a reasonably healthier lifestyle. The point, I feel a lot of people are missing, is the idea of progression. People get stuck at a particular point of progress and instead of trying to stop and figure out why, they just accept it. There is no magic bullet that will shoot you to the top, you gotta take it step by step and just see how far you push yourself.
  16. Yup. I don't care about slayers though. I'll definitely try and post ASAP on which server to play on. It shouldn't make a big deal but odds are it'll be East Coast.
  17. Those players are also players who have been beaten by new up-and-comers because they've been practicing just as hard as the veterans did to reach the level of play they are at. It's not a matter of promoting "boundless creativity in the field of music", it's a video game bound by a set of rules. You learn the rules, you play within that rule set. Learning frame data? Part of the rules of the game. For example, X attack will do Y damage with so and so start up frames and recovery frames. This is the rule. It will never change. You learn the rules, you practice your execution, and lastly you figure out strategy. You manipulate the rules to your playstyle; it's no different than chess. Everyone knows how to play Chess, right? Do you know how to play it WELL? There are tons of strategies to utilize in different scenarios that you learn from either experience, someone else teaching you, or reading one of those gorjillion-page long Chess strategy books you see at the library. Genetics may help you learn faster or develop reflexes easier but it's your attitude towards learning that's going to kneecap you. Players like Daigo have been going to the arcade to practice SF since I was in HIGH SCHOOL. "Natural talent" will not teach you the rules to the game. This discussion is the equivalent of fat people saying "NYYAAAGGGHH I CAN'T LOSE WEIGHT ITS IMPOSSIBLE". No. Energy in, energy out. You work off more energy than you're putting in, you lose weight. Stop making up excuses for it. If a potato like me can learn how to play I-No (literally just hours of practice and advice from friends I've made on this board), you can learn to not suck and master the game. Ever since I was a child, I wanted to do something related to music. Ever since I was a teenager, I wanted to learn how to make video games. Ever since I was a college student, I wanted to learn Guilty Gear. Literally all just hours and hours of hard work and positive attitude. My next goal is to make a strong showing at EVO next year. This is Guilty Gear, not the freakin' Gattaca Corporation. Stop bringing up genetics in this thread please. It's literally irrelevant.
  18. http://dfcentral.com/2013/08/10/dnf-season-4/ is where we're starting.
  19. You can become a good singer or football player if you spend hours upon hours of developing motor skills and muscular development. Singers utilize their vocal chords and you'll always see them doing exercises to develop them. You'll hear stories of famous pop singers and how they've been singing literally since their whole childhood and beyond. Genetic inclination towards a particular development such as physical activities or creative activities is something someone will do naturally, and they themselves have to nurture and develop those skills. Anybody can become a football player by developing their physicality, but that physicality may be better suited towards running if its a slim, small figure. How does this tie into Guilty Gear? Some people have different play styles they'll develop and play a character accordingly. Someone who knows how to play smart but doesn't have very good execution may pick up a character such as Sol or Ky to play, people who play more defensively may pick up Ky, while more aggressive/offensive players players may pick Millia or Chipp. Whatever. Point is, the argument for genetics is a moot point because everybody thinks differently, everyone plays differently, and there's a reasonably varied pool of characters you can choose to make your own. You practice out whatever. All these posts about talent being natural or genetics are moot for this discussion. Pick a character that suits your personal preferences, and grind it out. All these posts about being "naturally good" or whatever are just excuses to not work hard to master the game. I spent weeks struggling through Venom's challenge because I really wanted to learn him. I'm not the best GG player out there, but I really want to learn Venom so I just keep grinding it out, figuring out muscle memory for charge moves, etc. Has nothing to do with genetic disposition, just good ol' elbow grease and motivation.
  20. I get the point he was making. Don't worry.
  21. I just condition bad habits on my opponents so they think its working and then punish them afterwards when they still continue to use it. Makes them pretty free.
  22. Yeah. Probably cash shop items out of my own pocket just to keep things interesting.
  23. I already have an awakened Striker but I'll probably also roll a Female Nen Master or Grappler to level up with folks.
  24. I was thinking DungeonLoop ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
