  1. I feel like your talking about stagger pressure more than mix-ups. If you include stagger pressure as a viable mix-up option then sure, Jin's is better (and so is Terumi's btw). Otherwise I don't really agree. Sure, Jin's 6A is faster than any of bang's non-bumper overheads than sure, but only that one move that you only get reward from using meter or counter hit. Plus, he can only use it after three of his normals. The fortunate thing about something being "better" relates to what I aid a few pages back. When ever you use the word "better" it's an opinion and can be argued. If you feel Jin's mix-up is better due to the speed of 6A or if you count his stagger pressure as part of his mix-up then more power to you. If someone else says Bangs is better due to the fact that he has more high/low, left/right, and command grab, then they can say that without truly being wrong.
  2. Much better, (it's a pet-peeve of mine). I feel that the "mighty high" and the "60 year old" analogies are saying the same thing. Yes, SKD has more experience when we shouldn't be surprised when someone with a different idea of the game comes along to disagree with him. It's only natural that we refute something that contradicts with something we believe. If anything, SWD only contributed to the conversation by discussing the bumper set ups which weren't mentioned. it's less of a "you are clearly wrong" and more "I don't agree because of this point you did not mention." Or at least that's the way I interpreted it. I always give people the benefit of the doubt. And what's the difference between shutting someone down and someone saying "Pfft, well that's just like your opinion man. If you do it MY way then, its clearly good". In that scenario both parties are saying "You're simply wrong"
  3. This guy... I like this guy. I think he was referring to the way SWD disagreed with SKD (love the acronyms btw) and SWD got shut down for it. While SKD does have a better understanding of the game than the vast majority of us, counter points should still be given their fair shot. All of this is relative anyway. What SKD said about mix-ups matters most on the highest level of play that most of us haven't reached. As Errol pointed out, your level of play determines you perception of the game. In japan, some players rate Carl as higher on the tier list than Kokonoe (1.1). That's because the level of play for Carl in Japan is higher than it is in the states. As a result, he is seen differently. I'm not sure who this "Loaw" person is but I'm sure he would love to reply to your comment. Someone should look for him.
  4. I have. I always do. I'm really good at figuring out fighting games. I can see why Terumi used certain moves and how he was control Azrael. A lot of it was good grabs. He never really seemed to grab at the same place twice. Also, punishing Azrael's back dash was a great help. He seem kind of scared of Azrael at some points where he committed to turtle-ling and Az got in for free.
  5. BBCPE lets PS4 and PS3 players play together right? I know the vita won't have it but I wanted to make sure the consoles get it like with Xrd
  6. Thank you for this video good sir. I'm adding this to my collection of "This character is not trash" videos. He lands a lot of those "bad" command grabs by the way.... any case anyone was wondering.
  7. I think you're assuming too much. It's not necessarily ego, some people just have a different idea of the game. If someone has one perception and someone else offers another, there is going to be conflict.
  8. I feel command grab is decent if you've demanded respect.
  9. I feel like reacting to grabs should be more about the what comes before it. Unless you grab on wake up, every green grab has a calling sign. A pause in pressure or multiple 2A's. You can react to what comes before the grab more easily than the grab itself.
  10. You mean I get extra money for stomping people with Terumi? Hellz yeah! Probably gonna get bodied though since this is my first tourny
  11. Sums the last two pages basically. Reacting to things isn't all that simple. First off, everyone has different reaction times. Just because you can react to something doesn't mean everyone can. It takes a lot of experience to properly react to most mix-ups. Sure, a overhead being 26 frames might make it more reactable but it doesn't guarantee that you'll do it. Second, the animation matters a lot when taking about reacting (you need something to react too). Remember that one time you reacted to Hazama's 6A? ................................................. No it's okay, I'll wait. Third, the whole point of a good mix-up is to create different threats in the same situation. Relius may have a very clear animation for his overhead but when he goes low 3 times you often forget about the overhead and even after he uses it, you still have to be wary of the low. Fourth, most people only look for mix-ups during block strings. Wake up overheads and tic overheads are so good because you're not expecting it. Reacting to overheads in fighting games takes more time when you aren't focused on watching for it. I want to think of a 5th one but I don't have anything else. This is an off topic conversation anyway.
  12. Mostly referring to 1v1 lobbies. Sent from my ZTE-X500 using Tapatalk 2
  13. I feel if you're constantly bodying someone you should at least consider switching characters. Getting completely destroyed to the point where wins become formulaic doesn't help either side. The loser doesn't learn anything if he or she didn't have an idea of what to fix after five straight losses and the winner is just getting combo practice. If the loser is slowly learning and improving, then i can understand. Also, typing on this phone is the struggle. All the typos i have to go back and fix due to Swype Sent from my ZTE-X500 using Tapatalk 2

  20. I'm here to practice my Jin. Can someone play me without totally bodying me? Or just play me, what ever works.
  21. Lot's of grabs and command grabs if she likes to cat chair. Otherwise just be patient and pick your moments. Wait, so N-O see this as an even match? Holy crap. And people want to call Terumi low tier.
  22. I have no shame in taking that win and running with it DJ. You pink players too strong for me. Also, Terumi is officially my new main. My Jin just doesn't cut it anymore.
