  2. i'm going to dedicate my BBCPE life to bodying people with Terumi. Everyone shall receive these stomps.
  3. I'm making Terumi one of my mains in BBCPE just to help the cause. So what i'm hearing is that Terumi is B tier. Mission accomplished!!! XD Seriously though, I feel like Ragna is A tier. I consider S tier to be somewhat over powered characters. Ragna is definitely stronger; his Gauntlet Hades seems to make air conversions easier and his damage is a bit higher. I don't think he's S-tier just yet but he's easily top tier in my opinion. I don't feel like you can use that to show who is good and who isn't. A tier list usually assumes that the characters are being played by people of equal skill. Some people will simply have preferences that they follow. Those people might end up being really good and as a result, end up at a very high dan. Fenrich was one of the highest dan players in 1.1 if I recall (even if you exclude the fake ranking he got) and that didn't make Jin the best character in the game. There's also that fact that some characters aren't played very often, like how no one plays Mu in NA but she's seen as top tier.
  4. You're missing some characters but for the one's you have: -Hazama should still be A tier. He lost his fake outs in exchange for the extra chain and his uncharged stance attacks took a hit. It might depend on play style but I don't think he's S tier yet. He is close though. -I honestly don't see anything S tier about Tao. She has some jump loops into mixups but her mixups and pressure has always been crazy. She lost her corner carry as well. Her damage also seems to be the same. -Nu should be S easily. -Kokonoe should still be A. Sure, she doesn't have as many resources, but when you kill in 3 combos and still have all the mixups and corner carry how much do you really need? -I heard Celica was low tier but she's a new character so it's hard to judge. -Still no love for Terumi I see. Am I the only one who thinks that his air messenga buff and his ability OS your wake up with 236D is cool? To each his own I guess. Missing characters include: -Tager: I shudder at the knowledge that some people are labeling him A tier. Dear God why? -Hakumen: No clue how he was changed but he seems the same to me. -Amane: C maybe? Lower B? Not sure how him being added to the group of "My drive is special cancellable now" has helped him. -Azrael: I say S. He got more corner carry and better corner combos. Plus his growler buff. I'm not even talking about how he can immediately shoot the projectile, I'm talking about that burst safe valiant combo. -Lambda: What's good about this character? No seriously, I have no idea. She's like the Lucina to BBCP's Marth (Which is funny because I enjoy playing Lucina).

  12. Hate to get into semantics here but whenever you use the word "better" to describe anything you are stating a opinion, not a fact. If it's an opinion everyone agrees with then it's called a consensus. Also, koko still looks strong. Every time I see her get a hit it's 3k plus the corner, into oki. Maybe I'm watching different match videos or something.
  13. Probably going to pick Tao back up for the first time since CSE just for those jump loops. They look delicious. Also, more Hazama chains and new Terumi theme song. Fuck yeah.
  14. Well, a tier list is mostly based on opinions. What's bad to you might be viable to others. We might be able to find people with similar ideas on what's good and what's bad but if you're worried people will think differently than you then... well welcome to the internet.
  15. I hate when I notice I'm getting punished for something and then never fix it. This continues on to make me lose the match because I got air grabbed out of a jump out three times straight.

  17. Lol at people saying Jin has better stagger pressure than Terumi. I'm a Jin main and Terumi's pressure is way stronger. Jin's 6B is easy to hit out of and is one of his few moves that's plus on block and keeps him close to the opponent. Terumi's 6B must be respected. You can't jump out of it (air unblockable) it's faster,has foot unvul, and can be used off of more gattlings. Plus, his J.2D s plus on block and 5C(1), into J.2D is a true block string. 6A isn't stagger pressure, it's a mixup (kind of wish Terumi had one of those though). And Terumi has the same stagger normals Hazama has. I think the problem is that the standard of what's good and what's bad is so high in BB. On paper, Terumi is a really respectable character. Great, safe footies, strong pressure, and insane burst damage in overdrive to compensate for the lack of rewards he get's off of mix-ups. His meter gain is the best in the game which is nice since he relies on meter management. It's just the fact that we have so many Azraels and Kokonoes and Litchis that are known for dominating some match-ups that Terumi get's seen as lesser since he doesn't do anything that's insanely strong.
  18. Why yall hating on the pad? Simple rule of baiting bursts, if they are low on health and you hit them with a good mix up, they'll burst. My last burst bait was against an Azrael. I was jin and hit him with a 6A, rapid cancelled into a 5C, then jumped back immediately and took the burst. Due to spacing I didn't get a full combo but I did get the pressure which let me end the match. Eve if you don't get the burst you can simply go back to pressure. If you're confident about it then go for it.
  19. Jin is no where near S tier in CP. He's strong, but not S tier. He's somewhere in between A and B. As far as Terumi goes: 1) His damage is reliable in the corner, which he is somewhat dependent on. It's an easy 3.5 or 4k if you spend any meter. Mid screen, does have to burn 50 heat but you'll get half of that back during the combo. 2) Pretty spot on. His neutral game basically amounts to 5D, J.D, and running in. 3) Sure you have to spend heat but Messenga is one of the best supers i the game. Even when it's baited Terumi still gets out for free. Any gap in a block string becomes a free escape. Few characters can truly punish a good Messenga. The only time I've been punished for it is by Noels 4D because for some reason Noel get's pushed back by the Messenga and you eat a fatal (another reason for me to hate her -_-) 4) He has some of the better pressure in the game in my opinion. He has the same 2A, 5A, and 5B has Hazama which were already great. Then they also gave him 6B which has low and grab invul, fatal counters, can be faked out, is air unblockable, and it's plus on block. He can stay in your face for a long time forcing you to respect his buttons. I find J.2D is a decent option. If you're creative with it it can open people up. I find J.2D into another J.2D works well since it's plus on block, forcing most people to respect it. His command grab works well when you teach the opponent not to jump since Terumi has lots of ways to catch jump outs. His oki is decent if you're willing to stop 1 move short to 2D or safe jump. And let's not forget his overdrive. Easy combo's for 7k? Why, yes, please. Hell, just grab into overdrive super with 100 heat is 5K.
  20. Hazama can counter too. He can punish wiffed drives but she can as well. His ranged super beats her swords.

  22. Something we aren't looking at is that drive and normals are not separate entities. Kicking and punching someone is just as much of a mechanic as Hazama's chains are. A good drive is a good button. A good normal is also a good button. Ragna and Jin have good drives even though they don't do something as weird as a Hazama chain or Rachael's wind.
  23. Y do people keep sleeping on Terumi? He was never bad in the first place, just meter reliant which is solved in one combo. He has mix ups they just don't have the best reward. His jump 2D is harder to combo from since they reduced the hit stun but it was a good mix up when used correctly, it just has less reward. His command grab is decent but people seem to prefer staying with pressure for some reason. On top of that, no one mentioned his buffs. His 236D is faster and his pressure reset has less recover. Plus, mid screen jump loops give him mid screen damage that isn't so character specific. Terumi isn't bad. I think people just don't take him seriously. Sent from my ZTE-X500 using Tapatalk 2
  24. That's kind of the marvel problem. The game is crazy and completely unfair at times but it's one of the most hype games at every tournament. The more you add into a game, the crazier it gets. It's a double edged sword. Each mechanic brings more depth but knew problems along with it. Same thing with gimmicks. A new gimmick can make a character fun and unique but also extremely annoying. How do you balance something that's not in most fighting games? How often do we see Hazamas and Rachaels? It takes time to fix. Hurtboxes bro. They extend when you use an attack. Her's might be a little weird. And that reminds me, how strong is izayoi now? I already hate the character due to match-up inexperience and then she becomes more common. At least SKD will be happy.
