  1. Oh wow! Thanks for the site recommendation! It was really helpful in learning how to handle the merkava match-up! Only problem is searching through long streams for the particular match. I'm still having trouble a little bit but the site really helped alot with the particular match-up. I think though it will also be a good way for people to experiment with other things and possibly find more ways to handle different match-ups too! :D
  2. What is everyone's thoughts on the VS Merkava match-up? I always find myself struggling once Merkava keeps his distance with his spaghetti arms. Carmine's 6B is also not useful mostly in this match-up in my opinion. (Unless if your up close mid-combo of course). Merkava's command grab frames are invincible after his arm extends the slightest which I think is the most difficult thing in this match-up. Mostly because it's safest way to put blood puddle from distance. 6B won't hit him unless if you think ahead and throw it before he does command grab. you could do j.6B to place it and move it forward with B+C at times then 236A/B but even so, Carmine is still vulnerable during B+C animation. I feel unless Carmine can get up in Merkava's face at the start of the round and keep the pressure, This match is not in Carmine's favor at all. Once Merkava flys away, It's a pain getting back in. (Unless if you have a blood puddle set on each side of the screen) You could probably get in slightly if you have blood already placed but it won't by much. Does anyone have any advice for players to improve VS Merkava match-up or anything people might want to add that I might have missed?
  3. I recommend the HORI Fighting Edge. Only major downfall to it is it's price tag. Really comfortable to rest on your lap, Kuro buttons, Hyabusa lever, Fancy LED lights (Obviously not important but nice bonus Lol), and all the things you would expect a tournament arcade stick to have. However, the ball top may be a major con to you with the Fighting Edge. The HORI HRAP models are good sticks but you will probably want to replace the buttons along with the joystick since you don't want ball top. It has turbo functions. Unfortunately, (Not sure if your buying a arcade stick for getting competitive play or just for casual play only) the major problem I hear with HRAP is the fact you can not lock out the start button. The start button is at a good distance away from the stick but it's always good to be safe than sorry.

  6. I can't vote on mobile but I'll provide my personal opinion. I think it should not be banned. I feel it's very pointless to ban something the player can perform manually. I would understand if infinites and such were only possible with mods but I think if the player can pull it off normally, I think it should stay. I personally think anything that's in the player's control should stay if they can set them up as well as execute them during a match. (infinites, glitches)
  7. I think he means the profile pictures. You get them from playing a bunch of matches or you can just use the in-game currency to buy them.
  8. All the sources the others have posted are huge help. I also recommend watching some match videos from tournaments to see how you should play your character and/or learn to cover up a certain weakpoint. If you play against someone who beats you over and over, save a replay or 2 like Airk stated and study them for mistakes in your play. Match-up knowledge is very important in Fighting games so you may need to study alot of replays if you are struggling against majority of the cast. Good luck!
  9. Like everyone is saying, you could always purchase from JPN PSN or HK PSN but if you are like me, you only download games only if it's download-only and only buy physical copies. Lol. My order shipped out today so you may want to check your order status to see if your copy shipped as well!
  10. A player reported who had pink square that he got de-ranked by light blue... There is something we don't know about the system. Lol
  11. This combo takes abit of Ignis meter but really helped in many matches when doing confirming via pressure strings. Both are really simple Corner 5B>6D>5B>5C>2D>5B>5C>236C>214A>66>5B>6B>j.B>j.B>j.C>j.236C>j.214B Midscreen 5B>6D>5B>5C>2D>5B>5C>236C>214A>22C Basic combo but nice starter when confirm a combo when pressuring. Can replace 5B of course with 214A. You also get decent heat gain with this variation. I'm new to Relius so I'm learning as I go. I'll add the damage and heat gain for each when I use my PS3 tomorrow.
  12. You can log on Xbox website from your computer, go to GGXXAC+ page, download the CATALOG 1 patch, then when you turn on your Xbox, it should bring up a prompt about the download. If it does not bring up a prompt, Go to you download history and it will be there so you can start the download (Not sure about the prompt thing but I know for certain it appears in your download history when you log on from the Xbox again)

  15. The arcade style lobbies won't be in Xrd? That kinda stinks. ;_; That was the one of the things that made BBCP really fun in my opinion but if leaving it out means having better netcode like they said, fine by me.
  16. A few Japanese sites did tier lists for 1.04 If you google the game's Japanese title and wiki, you'll find tier lists for each version.

  18. This. I can relate. Also, when you are playing a 3-4 bar connection then it suddenly just goes frame by frame lag mid-combo everytime.
  19. Arakune can have a easy time with this match if he can apply pressure first and separate Carl from Nirvana as much as possible. Arakune's 214B can actually dodge Nirvana's 6D and the first few hits of 41236D. In corner, You can 214C out of corner when Nirvana seems to being going all out. However, Arakune's hitbox can result in easily getting caught into a simple yet high damage combo. When playing a Carl, 8D and 412D will be common from what I observed to catch you in the air...   21. I still have hopes for patch... Although my hopes are dying. I still have some hope. Though, it really doesn't matter. It's been out on the store for so long without patch so I wouldn't be surprised if they try forgot about it
  22. I prefer Japanese dub but the English dub for BB or P4U is certainly not bad at all. I feel the Japanese voices have more emotion when it comes to anger.
  23. No Arakune, No love. It was okay. It wasn't bad but it certainly wasn't amazing either.
  24. Watch out for her j.D . The hitbox is really scary and can start pressure really strong. ESPECIALLY in the corner. Yu can 214D before j.D frames fully come out and get a fatal counter as well as start a slightly high damage combo.
  25. Hope you enjoy it. It's a fun game. Really simple but really fun as well. If you like P4U, should pick up BBCP and P4U2 when it releases.
