I doubt that would happen in a real match but wow, that does sound like shit still... That's the sort of stuff to actually bring up IMO, not caring about slight texture offsets (which don't even exist apparently). -

There's literally no difference in the picture here. Now everyone can STFU. Those PS3 vs PS4 comparisons on the other hand are fairly interesting. I like particles, but oh well, I'm poor and will be staying with a PS3 for at least another 3 years. -

Y'all missed the point of that tweet COMPLETELY. The point was about DEFAULTS. DEFAULTS. The default is set to quality, whereas the tweeter was saying it should have been default at speed. Learn2read. -

My point was I play +R from Hawaii. Xrd can only be a step-up, considering if it wasn't coming out I'd STILL be playing +R from Hawaii. Also we should play again some time (I'd love to play now)! As for online speed mode confirmation, well then, looks like I'm permanently leaving the setting to speed mode entirely then. I'm fine with some gimped graphics, whatevers. -

Haha at people whining about online. I live in Hawaii, and have one of the cheapest internet plans to boot. Your continental connections to each other are a fucking unachievable dream to me. I still play +R and I can still find people whose connection quality allows for BnBs to be executed 99% of the time. Fuck y'alls. -

Any word yet if online for PS3 is auto-locked to "Speed" mode? -

Not discussing the dub, I'm discussing the options and how it affects multiplayer - I still haven't even heard the dub. Thanks for the clarification anyway. But no I much rather prefer it set to what each player has set. I find it more interesting that way, even if I dislike the dub. -
ArcSys Voice Acting [This thread has rules now]

Wait it's not based on what each player set as their language? It defaults to English every time no matter what for the opponent? That IMO is guaranteed to be patched out if true. -

So is online automatically in speed mode or what? Any info on that? -

YRCs could also receive a bit less slowdown for future iterations while the RC slowdowns stay the same - I could see that happening. I hope they flat-out remove the ability to mash 3 buttons during a combo at 25 - 49% tension to bait bursts though. Any game that has you constantly mash the same input during a specific duration in case opponent happens to do X was designed poorly in regards to that scenario IMO. They could easily implement a system where you have 1 chance to do it during a combo string, and then if it didn't come out, you can't have that input register again (just for YRC) in the same combo string. That or just make it impossible to YRC after the opponent begins to burst altogether. -

Wow I didn't even know you could buffer the input that way. I feel mad dumb. -

Command grab being 63214 is awesome from my perspective because it means I'm going to have tons of fun trying to do it out of FDCs. I prefer that to the motion being reversed for BDCs-grabs being easier, as I'd rather try to use the grab offensively. -

I consider this all fantastic. -
"Do we really" have to even play fighting games to begin with? We "really do" what we feel like doing and care about. So yes. Yes is your answer. If visual design was as meaningless as your post non-willfully implies, all the characters would just be hitboxes. And if I was able to stomach designs I really dislike I would probably still be playing Skullgirls, which I tolerated for about 5 months before deciding I just can't play it anymore.

Here's your "non-needed" El conversation some more: El panders with jiggle physics, Ram panders with underboob. I just want more female designs that don't pander with injections of typical anime fanservice elements - BB already accounts for that plenty. And even then Xrd's cast is pretty heavily gender skewed and having more women would be nice in the most general sense. Also yes, please, Justice - that'd be great. Now that Mumm-Ra brought it up, Leo really does look like he came out of Castlevania Judgment though.

It's a good idea to practice anyone in any game. Playing better in +R will still make you play better in Xrd. Unless your definition of practicing is dicking around in training mode. -
I thought the dash is still there?

Now that Leo is confirmed, can I finally mock those people who thought he wouldn't be a DLC character despite being on the boxart? -

I'm rather rustled that on a lot of the gameplay videos on YT (ripped from stream) when people get their opponent who is in hellfire mode dizzy, they choose to just combo the person to death rather than doing the IK move. Every time I'm like "Come on!" When the opponent is at hellfire HP they can't shake off the dizziness during the time freeze for IK activation, can they?
