I just enjoy FRCing the start of RR in +R to make her fly across the screen - it's about the only FRC I can do consistently. I thought RR might be amusing with YRC potential as well, but yeah, is it even in the game?

I don't think I've ever seen restive rolling in a match. Is it really that useless?

Well seeing as how you posted video footage to show that the wording means squat, I'd go with the video footage data >_>...- 260 replies

I used to think the guts was really major in Xrd, but after paying more close attention to lifebars in +R, it's really not that much more. Nowhere near the impression I initially had. -
Looking at Slayer Xrd footage and looking at myself play Slayer... I honestly don't see that much similarity. +R seems quite different, so I've been playing other characters in +R more even though Xrd Slayer is my primary interest at the moment.

Lol I think I forgot what meaty means, sorry for my stupid reply.

No way is it really? I thought it was still safe at only certain distances (if you do it too close it's punishable).

As somebody who eats Grand Vipers from opponents waking up quite often, this is fantastic news for me.

[Xrd] News & (Theoretical) Gameplay Discussion

The anime trope of character with puny little arms swinging around an oversized object (at least May's isn't exactly a phallus, but anchors aren't really that yonic either) still bothers me to this day. Let the woman wear her pants but for for god's sake make her burly enough to actually lift an anchor. Shit weighs like a ton. No way those skinny little twigs be lifting that shit! -

May should have finally had super beefy arms. What a waste to give them to Sol. -

If my eyes aren't deceiving me I do believe that using one special by itself (at least when missing with it, can't confirm connections) looks like it uses less meter than cancelling from one special to the next. I could be wrong though - quality on streaming videos isn't exactly high... -

He said he wants to try the demo before buying it. No PS3 demo has been announced as far as I know (though it's likely it will be around the time of release). Question: How much does hellfire increase super damage? Is it set across all supers or does it vary from character to character (or super to super)? -
So I just tried Potemkin for the first time in +R after learning all his moves and his general game plan, and now reading about all his nerfs in this thread has made me quite depressed.

I don't mean to be rude, but are you sure your perceived speed differences are not just from you being proficient at one game and not the other? I dropped P4A after getting into GG for a variety of reasons, but one of those is that P4A felt slower and less heart-pulsing. -

Dumb question but I actually don't know the answer to it: Is there a way to use Gold and Shadow characters in Vs mode without altering the character's mechanics? I just want it for the color. -

Any point in doing Million Stabs as oki on a downed opponent? Or that a bad use for it? -
Huh? How are you supposed to wake-up when you're never grounded to begin with? Or do you mean you first eat the gunflame after the 2K (which is the first techable hit) and that will let you hit the ground?
-
Cool. To get out of it do you just delay the tech a bit?

P4A2 is not faster than any version of GG. Not even close. -

I don't see how it's removing some of the execution barrier makes the character duller. It would just mean the character was dull to begin with, and was just harder to use. -

Yeah... and my whole post was about my own personal petty wants (since this is unfortunately the direction the discussion is heading). So your "opposite" statement was a total non sequitur - I'm well aware that if they were to just make the game for one system it would be easier to do it for the PS4. Irrelevant to me as I don't plan to own a PS4 for many years. And honestly blame the systems themselves. Clearly this is the throw-away generation for consoles. No other generation has ever allowed for so many games to be stripped down and sold on the past console. (Wii U is pretty much the exception to this and that's because they are still staying right behind the competition in graphical ability.) Also it's hilarious because the Xbone itself is holding back cross-gen games since the PS4 is objectively superior hardware. -

Um, that does zero to change the fact that without the PS4 version the PS3 version would still be done and out earlier. That aside, that extra bit you edited into your comment is the very reason so many people are afraid of the performance of the PS3 version to begin with. Devious ploy to promote PS4 version purchases or simple oversight on the developers' part, assuming of course they did get the PS3 to have zero performance issues that matter? -

I know you said "srs on this"... but.... but are you serious on this? Is there a single other move in GG that works that way? -

I feel like they're holding back the PS3 version (as in the literal release date) because a PS4 version exists. As far as I'm concerned I'd be happy if a PS4 version never existed, but my own personal petty wants shouldn't outweigh everything... or should they?
