  2. souhh I was practicing bnbs and such, and found out that when you do something like j2c allecan, 5b, 6b, 6d, 5c, 3c, j2c, j.c, 2d, 5c, volante, j2c allecan, j.b, j.c, 8d, 44, j2c, jc, 2d, j2c, allegretto, 8d if you get the two hit clap that juggles them, you can replace fermatta with volante to round out the damage to 4.6k and still end in kd. I mean, it's a very very negligible amount of damage, but sometimes, that's all you need, rite? Nothing special though, move on!
  3. Kyyyyyyyllllllle Just two quick things I noticed after watching some matches: 1) You're not very green with your Nirvana. Like... that bitch runs on coal. I like to use purple throws, gear super, and just good ol' kds to let nirvana recharge. 2) You should learn how to summon nirvana off naked 5b, I think it would help with your mixups. Unless you already can do it and just didn't in the matches I watch. Other than that, pretty tight. :D
  4. I just wanted to come in to give quick advice to Blaaarg's Kune: Don't dc before the first round is up. Also, don't join low level games expecting the player to be free. It just makes you look dumb when you lose.

  6. Cool, thanks! I suspected as much, but thought I was already hitting it low. Guess it's time to watch videos and work on getting it to hit even lower. Also, does anyone else have trouble doing 2c>fermata in a combo? I almost always end up with volante, instead. Or 3c comes out instead of 2c. I'm positive it's entirely a mental thing, but I was just wondering if anyone else had this problem, and how they overcame it, if so. Back to sleep for nao. Cold be whoopin' me.
  7. So I keep dropping my combos around here: ...j2c, j.c, 2d (hit), 5c, volante, j2c allecan >... I can't ever get the j.b to land after the j2c allecan. Is it spacing dependent? Do I have to do it faster? What's the dealio? I can prolly record myself doing this shiz later, but I figured I'd ask now and see if any responses crop up soon. also, what's a good combo off 4d? I find that most people have trouble blocking vivace a>4d, but I dunno where to go after 4d hits.

Hey, so I dunno if anyone else likes dumb mix-ups, buuuuut I like doing 2a, 5a... blah blah whatever> 6d, (viv if needed), then 2a, 5a, (slight delay, walk forward like... one step), 2a, 5a~6d karathrow What happens is you do whatever blockstring, then during the hitstun from 6d, you do a 2a5a, take a baby step cuz you need it both so nirvana comes up again just in time and soz you're in kara grab range. Then, on the next 2a5a, you immediately input 6d, and grab right before it hits them. Done right, they'll be too busy blocking nirvana's fake 6d to be watching for the green throw. Or something. I mean, they can jump outta it/counter jab you/whatever, but it's another random mixp-up to add, if'n you want.

  13. Don't forget that if you have the life lead, you have no reason to rush in after them. Carl's able to set up a nice little wall next to his robot, soz just do stuff to avoid neg penalty, and wait for them to corner themselves/rush you. Then rape.
  14. Since mah thread wuz deleted: What are Carl's new BnBs? What pressure strings don't work/what new options are available for mixups? I heard it's easier to land unblocks. I wanna do 5k off throws. Teach me.

While I'm normally pretty proud of the services America offers, our Education system is pretty poorly managed. :( I mean, you learn a good deal (especially in college), but it's really hard to go to a GOOD school if your family doesn't really have the finances. Then again, I ~think~ DU costs more to go to than Harvard, soo that might be part of the problem. :( Sorry I took so long to reply. I've been busy lately. Hope things have been going well for you!

  17. Wow. Maybe I should move to Canada for school. I dunno about bursarys, I'll have to look into that. Cuz I'm so poor, I end up only paying about 1.5k/year to go to DU (Financial aid for college in the US is good, I think), buuuuut I can't get any loans b/c no one in my family can cosign (too poor/bad credit). I'm actually looking into a language school near my house. If the FAFSA can apply towards them, I'll just go there, learn a few languages, and be earning 80k in no time. :D

  18. SJ>Double-jump is my single favourite way to approach Nu. If she makes you block in the air, no worries. Just keep it up. The trick to it is getting the exact spacing with the SJ that allows you to do the IAD kara to go between all of her options, landing you right in front of Nu with her scurred shitless. After that, mix-up into Nirvana summon sandwich, and it's GGs. A vivace A every now and again is nice, too. I don't use B much against Nu, cuz it lags and she gets a fatass combo offa CH. Be patient. All it takes is one small mistake (two if you aren't good at baiting bursts) and you win.
  19. Oh Then I disagree When you burst, you make it so that Nirvana takes less health to loop you (a big problem for already frail ragna). Since it takes less hits to finish the loop, you're also less than likely to get enough meter to break>ID. You also lose the ability to fd, which means that the next time Carl sandwiches/makes contact with you, you're going to have to block perfectly, or risk getting looped. You can also be guard broken fairly easily. You also completely lose the ability to IAD in (tho most ragnas seem to like dash>sj to approach), cuz Carl can do Nirvana's nail srk repeatedly while zoning around it. If you're half-health or under, go for it. But don't burst if you're at full unless you KNOW you can make your next hits count. I've won matches that I had no right winning just because people were retards and burst early, only to die to a simple ground loop later that they could have survived, had they been able to FD/had more health. People think bursting is the answer to the loop, but really, it tends to screw people over more than it helps. You're 2 hits from dying at any given time. Make sure you use your bursts intelligently.

  23. Ragna players should try teching super late. Seriously, bursting vs Carl is stupid. It give him a chance to kill you with solo combos. Try to conserve meter, and then you can break>ID. But yeah, I used to eat GH for breakfast for the longest time. Dunno why.
  24. I wanna see this Tage fella before he leaves. JMT, when I say everyone, I mean everryyyyyone. I'll prolly start playing soon, tho. Gotta get my technicals up to speed, see what's changed in the MUs, etc. That and no school this semester= too much free time, even with a jorb.
  25. Most places are about $20k/year, buuuuuuuuut DU is $40-50k. Imma hafta take a semester off, soz I can save up to continue to go. Lame, but whatever. Is life. How aboot Canada?
