  1. urgh I posted wrong info so I edited it out, according to me actually trying it on training mode jin's jB is not instant overhead vs tager. I thought for sure it was happening in my matches... edit: WHAT DO I DO ABOUT iad jB?!?! that junk is RAPING me
  2. even if you don't instant block there are a lot of holes in strings where you can do backdash, 360A, sledge (if you predict projectile attack of course), or either super. personally I haven't used the counter assault hardly at all. does it really do zero damage? cause that's a big turn off for me

A sledge followups: block backdash 360A/720 5A/2A (you are at neg frames so this won't work well on experienced opponents) canned 236A followup (this won't work well on experienced opponents at all since they can interrupt it just by spamming A, or they can block punish it) B sledge followups: all the options get carried over from A but are improved. since you are + frames on this one 5A/2A is much more viable of course. 360B if they turtle up.
  4. I played this matchup for about an hour today. Some observations... Jin has a lot of moves that count as projectiles such as his 5D/2D which he may use in strings, so you can try to predict them and go through them with sledge. Obviously this is good for tager. any place ragna can DP (strings like 5C > 236A and such) jin can DP as well with his 623C. lastly, sometimes you can do jC from distance if you think he'll ice car and smack him on CH for a combo. if you block the second hit I think 360B is free provided you are in range, don't know if you need instant block or not but it wouldn't hurt
  5. how much landing recovery is there from jumping? his sledge autoguards projectiles starting from frame 1 according to the data so as long as the landing recovery isn't too bad it might work

  8. how effective do you think it would be to do sledge right when landing from a jump? if she tries to attack your landing maybe it will beat her projectiles? just an idea

If you look at mike z's match you'll notice a big reason he lost is because he got whiff punished for doing 236B from too far away. nu would wait for it and punish the whiff with 5D combo so basically, if the Nu player shows that she can reliably whiff punish you for spamming 236B from too far out you gonna have to refrain from doing it unless you're in range.
  11. I dunno about that. :8/: uh to add random info...I think the only move that sledge will autoguard in this matchup is deadspike.
  12. Found a couple things. feel free to double check them on block you can 360A (or either super) between 5C 6A 6A 236A 5C 236A I think only supers can interrupt, I can't slip in a 360A
  13. man I always thought you could throw them the instant they left blockstun in GG. blah 5A 360 B is not a combo even if they don't break it, they can just get hit then backdash or jump
  14. this isn't necessarily about buffering the grabs but it is important and have not seen it mentioned we know that his command grabs are breakable if the enemy is in blockstun or hitstun right? well there's ANOTHER time they can break it that I haven't seen mentioned yet any normal canceled into command grab makes it breakable, even if they are not in hit or blockstun! edit: unless you do 6A to a fully charged 360A which is unbreakable apparently? 5A > 360B for example. they are not in hitstun or blockstun yet they can break it if you cancel to the 360B. if you wait and then do the 360 by itself of course it will be unbreakable. ok to add more confusion, it seems like you can't cancel to 360s from some normals like 5C/5D/2B/2D etc. yet if you do 2B into a 360 quickly it will be breakable. so I guess this means doing a 360 right after they leave hitstun/blockstun makes it breakable as well? what a bunch of silliness I don't understand it lol

  19. I agree, anti air is a huge problem. So far I've had most success with 5C as anti air. to deal with people who go really high (too high for 5C) I've started trying to jC counterhit them...seems like an ok air to air move I'd be interested to know what moves are helping others with anti air. also this part of the guide should be changed I believe lol lol? even if you do it immediately upon leaving the ground (which is probably what you meant) it isn't too hard to react to i'd think
  20. I agree. I was kinda confused because I was like "heat=heat knuckle" and then I was like "wait the supers in this game are called heat...does that mean I'm supposed to do electric super?" lol
