  1. If there now isn't a joke ending with all three of them back in Brotherly Paradise I'm gonna be disappointed. I think there's less of Saya in Noel/Mu/Nu/Lambda than people think, especially if the Master Unit's conscience actually jumped ship inside her. Anything we've seen is likely just residual, especially when Lambda/Nu never showed explicit signs that they see Ragna as a brother, just a general fondness brought on by Nu's programming. I do think a soul merge is how Ragna is ultimately gonna save the clones, however. That way the real Saya can retain the good memories of the clones while being free of the murderous tendencies of Nu that are built in her. Honestly, since the whole "haha you just stabbed me and can't save me anymore" was Ragna's Nightmare Memory in Act 2, it would be surprising if he didn't end up rescuing Saya at the very least; that act was meant to show people what they didn't want to happen (namely their dream being denied by Noel), so maybe Ragna will be extra careful when they face off for the last time, especially since he's learned to restrain himself. @Kenji Harima Where did you hear Izanami say that her body is breaking down? Most I've seen is her resistance after fighting Naoto and Terumi going "well don't overdo it" in CP.
  2. As for my (unpopular) thoughts on resetting the world to bring a happy ending, like someone said, at the end of the day Ragna would probably rather be chilling at the church or in a hierarchical city with Jin, Saya, and his guardian slash love interest Celica. But when your brother is now mental vigilante and your sister is a death goddess, what are the chances of that actually being possible in the current situation? I hardly doubt the three will just go "so....we cool right" and live happily ever after, which means that I feel it wouldn't feel too shocking to see that none of the three actually survive without the aforementioned time reset where they never grew up to be complete messes. That being said, I remember in an interview years ago Mori mentioned that Noel will get her happy ending, and since that kinda involves at least Ragna surviving, it could probably go either way.
  3. Okay, so we talk a lot about who isn't gonna die, but yeah, someone has to go for good this time....right? I don't know who would be the most shocking at this point, since everyone kinda has been in killed/ in danger of dying at least once, but I think offing Kokonoe through Nine or Tsubaki via Jin/Hakumen would be kinda ballsy. Taokaka isn't expendable and even if she was it would've been a low-risk death, and Lambda would surprise absolutely nobody....again.
  4. She was the reason for him to go "you know, maybe I should stop always acting like a jerk because Celicrap doesn't like it", and a chapter or two later everyone's like "Oh wow Ragna look how grown you are", it was the same deal with Jin and Tsubaki, only his was a little more organic since he was unlikable from the get-go. Really Noel had the best development coming to terms with Mu-12, and then CF threw that out the window and now she's meek again, sigh. In CS Ragna saving Noel was mostly due to Terumi's involvement (like you mentioned) and the parallels he sees himself in with her, not necessarily because he felt it was the right thing to do. Him suddenly declaring to use his powers for good meant little to me, since everyone he was fighting up to that point was evil af anyway.
  5. Oh no, last thing we need is for the game to focus on Celica again. Still haven't forgiven her for being the sole motivation for Ragna's character development in CP. But let's say she does decide to stuff herself into a divine coffin for all of eternity. Nine will still be utterly pissed and Izanami will still try and destroy the world. Saving the world at this point is a pointless effort. If you're not a playable character in CF, chances are you are a pile of seithr goop ala Arakune. The world also appears to be breaking down thanks to this excess of seithr, and the fighting from the remaining characters certainly isn't helping. There's a few scenarios that I feel can lead to a happy ending. A. Someone gets into the Unit (probably Ragna) and resets everyone into a world with no seithr (therefore checkmating Izanami, Nu, and Relius) and no Ars Magus or Nox Nyctores (checkmating Nine and Hazama/Terumi). The new Unit also resets time back a few decades, leaving Ragna and most of the playable cast able to live peacefully. B. Noel comes to terms with her true OPFD self and gets into the Unit, resets the timeline to where she doesn't exist; ensuring Ragna/Jin/Saya and most of the cast grow up in peace, just like in that hypothetical light novel scenario. Either way, I don't see the current status of the world leading to a happy ending; there's just too much collateral damage that has already been inflicted. And Toxin, side-note. Why are you getting so offended at other people's speculation while you constantly post things as fact or jump to unreasonable conclusions based on your own deduction? Not a fan of the imbalance, bro.
  6. He'll, they could always go the Fate Prisma route, where the protagonist of the main series (Shiro) lives happy and oblivious with his family that was mostly a mess in the canon world, and it's the younger sibling (Illya) who is getting into a set of new troubles. But please, no more Noel. After CF I'm convinced the entire story is mostly her fault.
  7. Yeah, that's what Relius and Terumi had in mind, as well. Only problem is that they would rebuild the world in their vision, so it's just as bad off. I can totally see Mori going for the shock value of the world being erased, making everything non-canon. Cue Mass Effect parallels and pitchforks.
  8. I'm getting Soul Edge/Holy Grail vibes and it sucks. I always knew there had to be something higher than Amaterasu, the Azure is probably it.
  9. I'm pretty sure anyone can reach the Gate; it's just ideal for Ragna to do so because he's trying to be the titicular Guardian of the Azure. Anyone else, and that's what Es is for.
  10. It's basically on autopilot; something game-changing is about to happen then time resets. If it wants to do anything long term (like Observe the world and save it from Doomsday) it'll have to be inside the actual unit, which can't happen because it's already inside Noel, which is why Izanami and friends stopped attacking Amaterasu itself and decided to try and kill Noel directly. Kinda like a firewall on a computer, basically. It's also why people are lining up to try and get inside the Unit so they can control things themselves; because it's empty.
  11. I hope Mori can come up with a plot-relevant reason to throw the rest of the XBlaze heroes in the story. Hell, it could be as simple as "omg Es is in trouble guys, let's help her out" Touya, Mei, and Kuon pls Mori Also, Touya w/Murakumo could very well be a reason for Es to find another BFS to use, since she apparently still has blue eyes like when she inherited the Embryo and stopped using it. Maybe that version of Es is the one we're dealing with here, which would explain why she still has the blue eyes and is apparently wandering around this Embryo world.
  12. That's hopeful thinking, realistically we won't see it until around this time next year. If we get a trailer for the console on E3 that would be the best sign.
  13. I discarded that idea a while ago; the Amanohokosakas are working against the NOL if the war of Ikaraga was any indication. They also have matching purple eyes to go with the hair across generations on the women, while Saya T. and Izanami have those creepy red ones. Wouldn't mind being wrong, of course.
  14. All we know about a potential Izanagi is that Izanami acknowledges him in CP as "not a threat". Maybe if she's the Master Unit's dark side, Izanagi represents the side that wants to make things right, but hasn't been able to do so yet?
  15. *lightbulb* What if the Azure Shrine Maiden is actually playing a part in all of this, from inside the Gate, potentially manipulating people to open the gate through Ragna and go "lolsup I'm evils nao" XBlaze said that she inadvertently summoned it through the Gate...but what if that was the plan all along? Lock herself in with the Gate with the Black Beast and wait until the right time? People assumed she was dead, but this is BlazBlue, where a prerequisite to existing is to be either unkillable by normal means (Izanami, Rachel, Noel) killed one or several times over in an alternate timeline (Ragna, Nine, Terumi, Trinity, Tsubaki, Noel again,) or be put into that situation several times that you should've been dead (Makoto, Naoto, Hakumen, Jin, Noel once more) I think we just found our potential final boss, y'all.
  16. Even though he understands this is what Kokonoe meant with him not being able to kill her, he decides to continue to cut her until she dies(if I can't kill her, I'll continue until she dies). jfc Hibki, this series has enough psychos as it is.
  17. So if Noel is really Amaterasu's Nobody, who exactly is in the Master Unit right now, triggering Phenomena Interventions like it's going out of style? Also, Izanami being able to trigger Phenomena Interventions should've been a early sign to her origins, just realized. Maybe she picked up the death god persona from her counterpart in a certain game?
  18. Wild thought, could Mu-12 have been created in response to Izanami becoming her own conscience? If that's indeed the "nightmare memory" of Amaterasu, maybe Mu-12 was a way to counter any damage she may have done, being Godslayer and all. Almost like writing a program to delete a virus you've accidentally released onto your PC.
  19. Time travel as a whole isn't particularly hard to tell well. Terminator, Fire Emblem Awakening, BioShock Infinite. It's when the writer tries to overcomplicate things and throw in multiple resets and alternate realties that things become a clusterfuck, in the case of BlazBlue. Hell, it was doing so good up until CP, even. Chronophantasmas themselves make things ridiculous because they break the general rules of "either you're here or there", same thing with Phenomena Interventions.
  20. I hope CF's story recap is done in the form of a documentary narrated by a certified historian with doctorates in history and quantum physics, because there's a lot to explain this time around. And now they're doing time travel AND alternate dimensions like from BioShock Infinite? smh
  21. Is it reasonable to say Naoto is a CP as well? He's from a timeline/dimension where he's not supposed to exist and his existence in the BB world is freaking everyone out as a result.
  22. Hmm, so his CF story has him actually helping out Rachel? Going after the Azure seems rather counterproductive in this case then, since Rachel probably already knows its hardly a long-term solution. I find it hard to blame Jubei for anything when Mori deliberately writes a deus ex machina out of the picture to make things harder. And as for Rachel being a Chronophantasma, doesn't that mean she'll disappear eventually anyway and just respawn in another timeline, or is this like in BioShock Infinite where since she got involved in this timeline her current existence is tied to it as well?
  23. Is it just me, or is Valknhayn kinda just inconsequential to the story as of late? Here we have most of the former 6 Heroes going HAM against each other and the rest of the roster. But unlike Jubei, Valk is active and yet....doesn't really seem to be doing a whole lot, from what I can remember. Rachel is out trying to solve her own problems to varying success and he is nowhere to be seen, and then you consider his checkered past with Relius and it makes me think, maybe he's kinda just off to the side for a personal reason.
  24. theories that are impossible based on unquestionable facts (Saya Terumi is Izanami). Orly? what are these unquestionable facts, because there hasn't been much to disprove them having a connection so far, especially with the bombshell that it BE takes place after CF. Hell, the game even hints at this when Naoto questions who she is, and her body reacting negatively in response. IIRC it's around the same time she gave Jin Yukianesa, 2 years before the church burning. They also noted in side works that Saya was acting strange and getting sick afterwards too. Ragna mentions in CS that 10 years has passed since he got the sword. The flashbacks do a terrible job of making it appear that he got it at the same time as the church burning though. What I'm confused about is that why Saya looks exactly like Noel if she was intended all along to be Izanami's vessel. Kazuma looked like Hazama/Terumi long before that was a thing, so wouldn't it just be easier to have her look like Izzy from the get-go? .....unless that was never the case. Relius mentioned in her Act 3 that he only made modifications, which means that Saya could've been created for another purpose. Something related to the Master Unit, possibly?
  25. There's still the issue of Saya looking exactly like Noel pre-Izanami, and sharing resemblances with Ragna and Jin; those 3 are definitely related and Noel, only question is "to what capacity"
