  1. What is/are Johnny's staple method(s) of breaking guard and convert into a combo?
  2. From what I've seen, the top level players in Japan have only marginal differences to eachother. It's not like you can say one of those players is waaay better than the other, but some times one player has a slight advantage over the others; sometimes a little more refinement, more originality, etc... So it can be that Ogawa isn't the best in Japan right now, but he's still up there. Of course you don't have to take what he says for granted, but since he's unable to actually defend his opinion over here it might actually be an idea to look for what reasons he made the tierlist like that instead of attempting to discard it.
  3. I'm somewhat surprised that some people here are indirectly stating that Ogawa is (partially) clueless.
  4. No, anything on the same tier grade are considered equal. So Chipp would be equally strong as Potemkin.
  5. Just try it during play, things should fall into place there:P
  6. On reaction not many, on reaction tends to make you a spamming whore anyways;) Though because you should have some room on the timing for some other reason I put in that post:keke: 2D(into l3BHB AC dustloop l2BRP) and l3BRP(into dustloop) are among my favorites, in case you get the button on dash in reaction you can j.H and j.S and convert into l3BRP/l3Ri. If you feel it might be an AA button you could dashbreak outside his range and fafnir him, if you have no tension you could attempt an 'early' l3Ri or if he has the tendency to guard low l3BRP. On a different note, if he tries command throw vs attack setup right next to you, you could theoretically option select out with 6K+H. Will test when I get the chance.
  7. No, that's a good way to die:P If you're in a spot where you'll just keep hitting him, go for it. But when the situation turns semi neutral or completely neutral you don't want Potemkin to know what he should be doing. If he attacks you can generally beat him out with one of your own things. If he defends, DO NOT ATTACK HIM you'll get backdashed on and punished in no time not to mention that by backdashing randomly, Potemkin gets range advantage over OS (like nearly any other character does).
  8. Yes, but it's not that great. Afaik it doesn't even CH Potemkin and next to that Potemkin can out prioritize that normal with one of his own which then goes into nice damage and resets the situation just like the potbuster would.
  9. Even without the tick it will cross up anyone that's faultless guarding, this is however when the OS player is actually competent and knows where and how to use GB in the first place. And for counter mixups, there's the 6K CC fafnir into dusltoop of course.
  10. So he FDs your tick and then jumps?XD Isn't that as predictable as the tickthrow itself? Instead of ticking you can GB him(and it will hit him because he's FDing). Or you could do the tick and do an airthrow/5H CC.
  11. You can't do it in a match because the chances of zooming out are too large, this trick I've found in slash:P Never threw it up here because its pointless.
  12. it would've been a lot nicer if those bumps actually contained videos...
  13. Well, you'd use 5S-H hji if you did it to close to the wall and your opponent bounces behind you... Otherwise you got for the dustloop:P
  14. As long as we can get there and don't die to overheating like robo-ky does and can actually play I'd say its fine:P
  15. Its more a question "Can you do it" instead of "Should you do it", if you can do it successfully then you should go for it. However, if you'd want to train that stuff, I'd say its a waste of time.
  16. No, fafnir the blue ball and fafnir the 2P
  17. and if they 6H trying to evade your fafnir you could l1/2/3Ri, l2/3SV or 5H CC instead and most of the times those all can go to dustloop:P
  18. My bad:P But doesn't l3Ri give its own momentum making TKing it worth it?
  19. Untrue, for example the GB followup 5H, sj.S-H-D,dj.P-H SV is one of the most damaging combos and is also quite easy to do. Also, some characters you can't dustloop, doing 5S sj.S-H-D,dj.H-D works out pretty well on them.
  20. You could also go to showdown in Sweden somewhere in the summer, B3C in Germany somewhere in the summer or the SBO qualifiers in France in the summer. In any case, get off your damn isle:P
  21. Use sweep instead of 5S->2S and CC that, that way you get more advantage(3 more frames) and you end up a bit closer to your opponent. In any case, run up vs fafnir is one mixup, if you manage to hit fafnir up close you get dustloop etc etc blablabla. You can jump, in case you think he'll reversal immediately with a high priority high recovery move, doing j.P->H. You can also do a backward jump and punish any reversal attempts appropriately with either AD.H or land fafnir/sweep/etc. You can also hold the charge and force your opponent a bit more into attacking you, which if you did in the corner has l1Ri into dustloop for counter mixup.
  22. No it wont work off of 2D CC... and that's training mode+match tested.
  23. You can't combo into K or Ri from sweep on Ky, unless you have l2. If 2D CCs its a different story, but the regular 2D hit will pretty much end your combo.
  24. I'd like "Ground Killer" Johnny combo vid in fileformat, can anyone upload it for me? Tnx in advance.
